FYI : this heartwarming commercial has so many hidden messages, not only is about the human values, but about Thai's core values also. "Integrated farming" is one of the key projects by our late beloved King Rama 9. And the music near the end of the commercial has been written (music) by the King. It's called "Our Land". The lyrics is about cherish your land, take good care of it. The families, the community and the citizens are bonded together by our land and make it prosper "together". It really has a deeper meaning indeed.
I'm Canadian and my lovely wife is Thai. We have a farm in Isaan just outside of Kamalasai. After being in Thailand for over 7 years, I grew to respect and love The late king and the values he had. I was very sorry to see him go. Smart and compassionate man. My wife and I viewed His Royal Majesty in Bangkok after his passing and feel honored to have had that experience. I put much faith in his son and hope he does well for the wonderful Thai people. Especially those of the north east.

This commercial is special to Thais in a number of ways. 1. It gives our Northeastern brothers media exposure that is not common in Thailand in terms of equal representation 2. It highlights Thai community values that is very much alive in our society 3. It shows how although gender affects how people perceive us, our society does not use it as a means to judge 4. The song at the end pays homage to his late Majesty Rama IX, because what he wanted to see was a sustainable Thailand where no one would ever be hungry. I love my country. I love my King.
@Hoàng Nguyên I dont think anyone dares to bully him tho. He is quiet and has such a private life, but he can be brutal and scary if he want to. I think maybe that's why Rama9 chose him as a successor, to balance out the political power.
@Hoàng Nguyên In my opinion, I think he did that for the good of the king himself. It used to be that the king alone picking the new one, then they switched to let the monk decide, and now it just coming back to the old way. The list that he presented is the candidate from Dhammayuttika nikaya(we got 2 nikayas) which is more strict ,and would serve him better political wise(I think). The members of these 2 nikayas are 10:1 in number. By letting the Drammayuttika (which is the minority)rule, would be the way to preserve them or it might get lost in the majority. Another reason would be that this would end the conflict that was happening in the monk community since the main candidate was founded out that he isn't suitable for the position. So by presenting him the list isn't bullying, but that would help him a lot because he wouldn't know who to choose.

We use our land to the most useful ways, 30% for different kinds of plantations, 30% animal farming, 30% pond for fish and reservoir, these are for your own consumption or for sale, and 10% for household. With all that, you can live without relying on others.

This video is of great help. I was so hard up looking for one for our lesson in ethics about Moral Pluralism until I found this. I can see now that society is breaking the border (which is actually our traditional moral rules or our cultures) that hinders us from our rights and freedom. It teaches us to be sensitive towards both sides of the coin and not just relying on the rules that we grow up with. Now, I understand the lesson more and better because of this.
❤❤❤😢😢 Oh my. I didn't expect that an ad would actually make me cry. As a person that took nearly 25 years to figure out I was queer and grew up in a remote rural area, this ad is so meaningful and wholesome 🎉🎉🎉
What a lovely commercial. It brings tears to my eyes. I love my job but the pressure is too much. I laughed hard when , fully clothed, he jumped into the fish pond. 😂😂😂
I swear, thai's just have a special sense of humor that they depict so nicely in ads, dramas and so on. It just constantly makes me feel all sorts of emotions, but I enjoy every second, every time. Well done, from the ones writing the script based on the true events to those acting and those filming and editing this.
Thank you for this hilarious, heart-warming and BRILLIANT ad! I loved every bit of it -- laughing out loud, grinning like a Cheshire Cat and tearing up a little when doors were slammed in his face. I was having such a crappy day and this story warmed my heart and encouraged me to keep going despite how hopeless the situation seems right now. Much love to you, Thailand!!! 🙏
Such great advertisement .. One should not judge a person coz of just how they look nor coz of what they are or choose to be ..it's their choice not ours ..what's important is how we still communicate/ interact with them like any other else coz there is nothing wrong about them being what or who they are .. they're still humans and deserve to be accepted as well respected too. also, I've known a lot of gays and lesbians ..some things I observe .. that they are very hardworking, comedic (esp. gays), intelligent, friendly, loving and some successful in their own chosen fields/ work ..so my respect is with them .. also like the grandpa I love planting veggies and trees ..esp. herbs, spices and fruit bearing trees for instant fresh foods planted/ taken from your own backyard ... great video anyways 😊😊😊
My husband was Cajun and based in Thailand when he was in the air force. He adored the people there, and called them the cajuns of Asia. He always wanted to go back but didn't get to before he died.
What a great video. I work in an industry that is inclusive and welcomes diversity. Over the years, I have leaned to look beyond a person's appearance and see talent and dedication that would not only help them grow as productive and efficient employees and make a significant positive impact to the industry as a whole.

Really enjoy it from vietnam. Love thailand.
Sweet! What an amazing world we would have if people could be like this: accepting and welcoming, learning from and supporting one another.
Sorry I can't help but laugh at his personality. If he shows up at interview, I knew he would light up the office atmosphere. 😂
Thai commercial really got me, Everytime!
I now believe in the value of human dignity even more
I miss my grandpa at thai when i watched this video. Love u Ta Bun ♥
That guy is so loveable.
beautiful video....the fundamental of buddhism is to see human as human. unfortunately this basic human dignity is not going to happen in my country.
Thai people makes the best heartwarming and values oriented ads!! - greetings from the philippines :D
I swear, thai's just have a special sense of humor that they depict so nicely in ads, dramas and so on. It just constantly makes me feel all sorts of emotions, but I enjoy every second, every time.
Well done, from the ones writing the script based on the true events to those acting and those filming and editing this.
Thai Ads are the best!
This is a beautiful ad. I wish more ads were like this. I’m glad I saw this video, it made me smile. Together we can make a beautiful world!
WTF I'm crying over an Agriculture Ad 😭 buen trabajas 😍👏🏼
Acting awesome specially the protagonist...story awesome....everything is very good...very inspiring1
This made me cry, tears of joy. 😭😊❤️
Thai advertisements are truly remarkable.
This commercial also teaches you that perseverance pays off. The young man never gave up on going up to people and inviting them to his meeting.
i always admire the creativity of thai's add. Amazing.
This is incredible, loved this so much.
"Belive in the value of Human Dignity" incredible qoutes to believe in.
Thai people are amazing 💚
Thai commercial's are honestly the best.
i love Thai Commercials..
My husband was Cajun and based in Thailand when he was in the air force. He adored the people there, and called them the cajuns of Asia. He always wanted to go back but didn't get to before he died.
The little girl is an absolute doll. I learned so much about Thailand from this commercial.
Tears of love are in my eyes! Yes, all commercials should be full of love.
I really miss & love the very simple life living in the province❤
Something about Thai commercial... not pretentious
I laughed, loved (this guy is awesome), and cried! Thai ads are on a different level.
Beautiful things make me cry, and I'm crying.
LOVE IT!! SOOO LOVE IT.!! THANK YOU THAI AD FOR UR LOVING AD. PLS COME UP MORE OF THIS KIND OF HEART TOUCHING ADS!!
What a great video. I work in an industry that is inclusive and welcomes diversity. Over the years, I have leaned to look beyond a person's appearance and see talent and dedication that would not only help them grow as productive and efficient employees and make a significant positive impact to the industry as a whole.
The guy is quite funny and its fun to befriend with guy like that 🤣
awesome commercial...yes, human dignity! and learning to be self sustaining!
Wonderful. Important lessons to learn not only about human dignity but also about the love of our land: the Good Earth.
