Wow so that’s what Random Rob looks like. Love these real life vlog style videos!
Was so great to meet him.
100% the people and the energy was the highlight of the event. Looking forward to Chicago, and who knows…..New York?
Thanks again for playing, Rob. So great to meet you.
You most certainly are terrific Sir, nice to meet you and get a few waves in passing ;)
Likewise!
Great video. Thanks for showing a number of reasonably priced, available watches. Quite different from the news feed out of Switzerland last month.
Oh, I hear that.
I love what Monta is doing! Very excited for the NYC fair, last year's event was great.
I'm jealous! Have a great time.
When is the NYC fair and you know what it’s called? Very interested in going !
Similar to another, when is the fair and what’s it called? Would love to go
" Zodiac is killing it right now! " That is something no one in San Francisco really wants to hear.
Haha, a bunch of tourists like us would never have thought of that.
Underrated comment right here
As always - so great to see you! I agree 100% that the people is what makes these things a worthwhile experience. Great job capturing the spirit of the event!
Thanks for gracing the screen with your mustache.
@@YoureTerrific Sharing is caring. Especially when it comes to mustaches.
That Everest VC is stunning. It's the perfect one watch collection watch.. Saw a couple on Chrono24 for sale, people area asking 120-150k for them!
Awesome, fresh and very lively, great to see you get out there and enjoy yourself.
I live on the other side of the world, we are the forgotten land when it comes to events like this..I am envious😔😊
Sorry, Peter.
@@YoureTerrific not your fault brother, its videos like this that make me happy, we get to see through your eyes and enjoy it
Wow, forget W&W, this is the place to be for the down to earth watch entusiast, really nice (and quality) watches, no pose, no nonsense and no scarcity. Thanks a lot for the tour., greetings from MX.
Gracias
Zach’s VC! Congratulations to him. Sad to miss this local event.
Great overview, the Aquitane looks cool...
That Farer watch with the White & red print is by far my favorite.
So good to see the watch world coming alive again
Love this kinda of video ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks
It was such a personal treat to take a paid day off from work to go to the Wind-Up on Sat. The watches, the people, the energy and enthusiasm at the event was ALL GOOD.
Look forward to next one in 2023!
I flew in to SF just to attend. What a great vibe! Spotted me at the 7:11 mark sporting the gold hoodie. Some of the most amazing watches showed up at informal meet and greets out on the WindUp patio (over beers!) and at private evening events where a few timepieces did find new homes. Went home with a Junghuns Meister Driver Handaufzug and a deep appreciation for my fellow enthusiasts.
This was awesome seeing the faces of podcaster's I listen to and Random Rob!! Soooo cool
👍
Dude wearing that PLOPROF is a huge power move… what a statement 😮
Very cool... I see its going to be in my backyard in July (Chicago)
Watches AND some short interviews - nice! Well done 👏
Thanks. Was a lot of fun to make.
The Aquitaine GMT is probably going to be my first and only luxury purchase. Love the engineering and design, how practical it is
Great video man....look forward to more from you 👍
I'll be in Chicago, looking forward to it.
Jealous
I really enjoy the format and humor of your videos. I hope you are able to cover the refresh of the Christopher Ward Trident C60 expected in a few weeks.
Cool! Looking forward to your in-depth stuff from Windup!
This video never showed up in my feed. I only knew about it from your IG.
Thanks so much! I’m sorry I missed you there. It was both wonderful and overwhelming.
So true.
You got your hands on just two of the pieces I've been really interested in lately: the Brew Metric Retro dial and the Farer World Timer, and I want them in just the colors you showed.
On the other hand: I thought Random Rob was skinnier XD
Chuckled at the last clip because it's so relatable, sometimes you just cannot remember stuff! xD
Zach is wearing my grail watch. If I had it, it would be the only watch I wear as well, though the brown strap on it is an odd choice.
Very cool. But that Overseas Everest Edition...Damn!
I know, I know. Ridiculous.
This video made me particularly excited to attend the show coming up in Chicago in a few months. Thanks again.
You're going to love it.
Thanks for taking us there. Pleasure to be along for the ride. Cheers!
The pleasure was all mine. But I guess you can have some too.
Really enjoyed "Evan At Large" Would love to make to the next one in New York and meet some other freaks . Fingers crossed.
Make it so.
Great video, Ethan, thank you. That cream dial anOrdain... wow. Oh. Surprise: waiting list 🤪
“Nope.”
Great video as always. Best summation of any Windup even I’ve seen to date.
I chuckle at the outtakes every time.
Well played
Great to see these, many thanks
👍
Watch engineering/watch maker chiming in (my degree is in aerospace engineering) despite what @YoureTerrific said in the video the Miyota Cal 9039 is by no means a cheaply designed/engineered, manufactured movement suitable for watches under a certain price point. The Miyota 9039 is better engineered and more modern than the ETA 2824 and 2892 for that matter. These movements are found in watches from 500 to variants found in watches costing 4000+ and believe it or not the Miyota 9039 I’d say is on par if not better but people like @YoureTerrific spread the perception that these are some how budget movements in terms of quality. Simple put, they aren’t in any imaginable way.
Thanks, Max. I appreciate you adding an expert's opinion.
Wished I could have gone. I live less than an hour away but.. such is life. Years ago I went to the Watchtime event in SF and was given an AP Jules Audemar for the night. Was pretty fun. Next year, for sure.
Some very cool brands there. Thanks for sharing.
Great video!!
Great content congratulations!!!
Wow, great video! I know you from ig and I'm glad I watched this. instant subscribe!
Can Christopher Ward decide what they want to put on the dial? I am seriously turned off by these switches. It makes the whole brand feel transient, just like their dial printing.
So much to see, so little time, great video
Thanks
That's awesome
That's so funny. This morning I was thinking of asking what your signature watch would be, that kind of typifies your channel. I guessed it might be the Ploprof. And I had Random Rob's as a G-Shock square. Tim Mosso with the Sinn. Still not sure what Bruce Williams is. Possibly high end Seiko.
Nice video. Great to see interesting independent brands being showcased.
Mosso and Sinn? I didn't realize that. Cool.
@@YoureTerrific An EZM 1. He's had it for years. Zach's Vacheron was incredible!
Tim auctioned it for charity recently.
I must have an old watch soul as I really like those cushion-shaped watches, eg. that Duckworth 7:40 caught my eye. (similar to Fears Brunswick). Cannot afford Vacheron Constantin 1921 American (yet? :D)
Fun video!
Fun day.
You're terrific!
Looks like it was a fantastic event. We miss out on these things down here in Oz
Agree being out there and meeting human beings similarly into watches is the acme of the event. Seeing the 41 mm Formex Leggera wasn’t bad either.
That's a cool piece.
KAT SHOULDERS!
KAT!
Great video this is on my bucket list to attend a watch show.
I hope you get to cross it off one day.
You guys are incredibly lucky to have WindUp 😩
Seriously
3 seconds in and I have to comment. Sick Ploprof!!
Great that you’ve visited Farer. What are your thoughts on the light blue Cobb monopusher?
VC Everest…..DAMN!!!
I know
Aww man wish I came on Saturday. Ended up going Sunday and it was pretty quiet which was great to get a lot of time with the brands.
That would have been nice. It was hard to see some things, there were so many people.
Great video. Would love to make the next one.
I hope you do.
Great video, thank you! God, that anOrdain is so beautiful. I wish they didn’t have the 2 year waitlist! 😭
Great video brother, I have the CW Aquitaine (bronze) in for review and it’s so good! It was nice to see Everet and Kat make a cameo 👍🏼 ❤️
They're great. The people and the Aquataine.
@@YoureTerrific 💯
really cool video!
Thanks
Awesome content and I'm stoked you got to meet some other enthusiasts in the watch community!
Me too. Me too.
Hey, I’m definitely not a bot. Also those Anordain watches…whoa…enamel.
Exactly what an advanced bot would say.
Isn't it Norquain?
No “u” in Norqain
Wooo!
Who?
Love your channel! I have been to the first or second Worn & Wound event in SF when they were near Union Square. Watch Time magazine used to hold an event called "INSIDE BASEL GENEVA". The last one I attended was 2013. It was sponsored by BMW & was held at the Ritz Carlton SF. Super great event. If they still have them check it out. As a Native San Franciscan I would recommend it.
Did you find your next blue sports watch to replace the ‘soon to be sold’ SuperOcean?
Shoutout to Monta!
7:41 William Wood bronze looks good.
It certainly does.
More purple watches!
Yes
SF was lucky to have you out! don't be a stranger homie ~
Thanks, my dude. Was great to see you.
Wow! I’ve never seen Random Rob like that- Looking like a real person and not third person omniscient!
Very interesting watches! :) what are your Thoughts on the Sinn 556i ? :)
I love it. I owned it for a while.
@@YoureTerrific Thank you! Only hear positive Things about it :)
Great video!
Out of curiosity did you know many of the people in the video prior to heading our there or did you meet them there?
I'd met 3/4.
THAT'S RANDOM ROB???
MINASE watches looks really nice. Did you see them live?
I didn’t! They were too busy for me to get in.
Sheesh. I had no idea that GMT Monta existed and it’s already gone. HRNNGH.
Looks like you've got a lot of cool and original microbrands in the US.
Here in Poland, we have a few but they often just cram together chinese components with repetitive designs and questionable QC.
Also, atmosphere of this event seemed very laid-back compared to watches and wonders.
Ha Saw myself in an early shot. Wish I said hi.
0:29 I got really excited when I saw the Minase poster. Did you have time to check them out at all?
That's a no. Bummer
That CW logo on the dial is unfortunately the one aspect that stops me from considering that brand. Wish it didn't, but it does.
I also think the sea ranger from AB is a nice looking watch.
👏👏👏
aww man wish we could have met!
Never comment on stuff but love what you do, keep up the good work mate and you never said what you were wearing!?
Thanks so much
Really enjoyed this content...was a bit short tho...oh well.
I just wann see more over that Overseas... drooooool
Same
@@YoureTerrific You know where to find me ;)
I was in the bathroom at the Windup Watch Fair, when suddenly a guy burst into the stall next to me and all but crapped his pants. The stench was ungodly. Was it you?
this is a great show. I always go to the one in NYC. Fight the urge to buy something every year.
Don't fight. Give in.
@@YoureTerrific Lol this is why I like wind up similar mind sets buy them all. I do regret not buying a Monta last time.
Did you mention your wrist size?
I only wish I knew what it is.
So...that's what Random Rob looks like....and WTF?? That white dial Monta GMT looks great....and it's not available!
Even small brands have waitlists.
Farer make some really cool looking watches.
Is the price quality ratio good?
Seems great.
@@YoureTerrific hi budddy! I have a big confusion. I really like the omegs moonwatch but i don't like it's simple white hands. I prefer the hands of the speedmaster 57.
Which watch should i buy?
Speedmaster60th anniversary is the perfect one for me. But it's too expensive. My wrist size is 6.7 inches.
Thanks!
EVERYONE is looking for GMTs after all this virus thing, we're all going to fly away, even just looking at a watch! 😜😂😂
Yes, please.
The universe keeps shoving that MRG in my face. I don't know how much longer I can protect my wallet T__T
Mr. G
Nice 👍 😎
Why did you keep picking up chronos??? Put the chronographs down.
No love for LA area 😭
That Farer Bernina Chronograph Sport is sex on a dial ❤️
For real.
