The power steering set up on these was always a bit of an afterthought, it was quite common back in the day for the steering pump bracket to fracture - the ex Talbot parts manager who now works for my local Citroen dealer can still quote the part number off by heart! Also bare in mind that the poissy engine was initially used in the Simca 1000 and the distributor location was positioned to be accessible for that type of set up - hence why everything is crammed up that end of the engine. Excellent detective work on finding those Ford Ranger bushes to use - should prove a useful hack for remaining Talbot Simca based owners who use there cars in a regular basis. Annie's putting up a bit of a fight by the looks of it but it's good to see your up for the challenge 👍
Good to see the old girl still fighting. She could do with a bit of restoration on the body though, but I wouldn't go to far as she looks pretty original.
Can you get a fuel injection conversion kit for the poissy engine. Did they move to injection in the last of the Poissy engined Arizonas (309) or did they go straight to the TU engine?
Love the 70s corporate graphics and music intro as always and love seeing you and Annie back on UA-cam. 😜
Interesting. Nice to see an update Callum!

Nice Video. ;)

I had to repaint her lower half when I got her in 2018 so there's no real danger. I've got a new wing for her passenger side so we'll see how it goes
Your carb issue? Are you running her on E5 or E10?
Did you also have her valve seats replaced with hardened seats to allow running on Unleaded?
The car has an alloy head so hardened seats are already installed. I've only ran her on E5 & E10 most recently with a fuel stabiliser

@@huwdavies6650 straight to the TU after the poissy. To be fair, I've got over the carb issues now, it's just silt from the tank creeping in
