The Skeletonized stocks are over rated. My brother is a USMC DI and Rangemaster. The collapsible stocks are constantly visiting the Armory with problems. I bought one though, sold the stock for $500 and got a fixed stock. Made the price of the M4 more tolerable and the buyer feel Tacti-Cool. 👍
Two things about this stock: 1. The pistol grip cover came off under heavy use. I used epoxy (JB Weld to refasten it) 2. Now the entire stock loosened....the bolt holing the stock in place loosened. I was going to Loctite the bolt in but I have lost confidence in the unit. I've had enough so that I put the three position adjustable stock back on. Cheap is cheap!
That sling plate that goes in between the stock & the receiver are you able to flip it around so the sling attachment is on the other side for left handed shooters?
I dare you to put the trigger group back into the gun with the Urbino stock in place. I am finding I have to loosen the stock way u pand move it back in order to get the trigger group in.
No problem! I want to say it was around $1900 plus tax. Of course the extra parts were additional costs, but of course that is up to the end user. So far I love it. It's super comfortable, balanced well, has plenty of capacity, and has been battle proven. The operation is a bit different than a lot of other shotguns out there, which takes getting used to, but it's a lot different than most other shotguns so that is to be expected.
So far, so good. It's super comfortable, balances the gun nicely, and I haven't had any issues with it so far. I'm a firm believer that if you use something long enough and hard enough it will eventually fail no matter the manufacturer or product, but mine has been fine. We actually carry them ourselves, but I know they are available quite a few places online.
How sturdy is the cheek riser? It seems that the front part would move around a bit since it is not supported by anything. Im leaning more towards non cheek riser version
It's not bad from what I can tell. You aren't usually applying a ton of force in that direction when shooting and it's actually a pretty strong piece of plastic. It feels like glass reinforced injection molding, so I'd expect it to hold up to just about anything short of a car running it over... that might actually need to be a video idea: durability testing the stock.
I got the urbino with the cheek rise. So far very happy with the quality and sturdiness. I also got a cheap vortex venom to test out a red dot on a shotgun. Should be interesting. Thanks again
None taken. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It does what I wanted/needed to do with it, so it works for my needs. I'm definitely a function over fashion kind of guy.
I think the rubber pistol grip on the urbino stock sucks ass with its flat back design. You can change it out to a beneli rubber grip. I did it to my beretta 1301 urbino stock and it made a huge difference in comfort.
@@PrecisionTKS it’s a very well-made product. I did not get to shoot my M4 yet, but I also unfortunately I live in the communist state of New York, and I had to make the shotgun 922r compliant. But as far as Quality goes it’s a very well made product I also have the Mesa tactical Truckee hand guard I was not at all impressed with the product as they say you get what you pay for did you change yours as of yet and what product did you decide to go with?
I haven't changed mine yet actually. As of right now it's between the Briley and Agency. I'll honestly probably go with whichever one is available first when I'm ready to upgrade.
@@PrecisionTKS agency also makes a good product but I don’t know if they’re American made I’m almost certain they are it’s unfortunate where I live we have a Lot lot of law-enforcement and they’re pretty good people I don’t know where you live. I had put these parts on because I extended the magazine extension tube from the stock tube and I had to change out three parts
Sir, your narrative explained all the thoughts I was having at each point. Thank you, great content and clearly explained 😊
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Awesome video! I was able to install mine in about 5 minutes since you did all the work.😊
Glad it could help!
Great video. You made my install go smoothly. Thanks.
No problem! I'm glad it helped.
That's great you have the proper tube assembly just in case you decide to get the collapsible stock
Yeah. It was a nice surprise for sure!
I went back to my original stock ! To muck recoil on the short stock.
Yeah, they arent for everyone
Excellent how-to video. Well done!
Thank you!
You are an excellent teacher and I appreciate your videos so much!
Thanks! I'm glad they help.
Thank you so much buddy was great. How are you are talking and doing and showing I was installing Mons at the same time you have a👍👍👍👍💪💪

Yeah, I'm starting to get the feeling that I don't want a skeletonized stock for anything beyond appearance.
Put a B&T forend on it! Briley loosened after heavy shooting B&T far better! I've tried both.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to give them a look!
Oh I just bought the same original configuration (5RD sadly) figuring I’d do this conversion too
Go ahead and get the extension tube. Mine was only $100 off gunbroker.
Thank you for the video. Very helpful!
Glad it helped!

Exactly. You get what you pay for. I had high hopes from all the positive reviews I read, but it didn't hold up to any of my expectations.
Thank you for posting this vid, it was very helpful.

Not sure if you got a hand guard yet but the Midwest Industries M4 rail looks pretty awesome!
I hadn't seen that one before, but just looked it up. It's definitely in the running now! Thanks for the heads up!
@@PrecisionTKS I think it’s the best looking one out there! Really appreciate these videos.
Subbed. You are very good at explaining. Should do more instruction vids
Thank you!
Agreed
That sling plate that goes in between the stock & the receiver are you able to flip it around so the sling attachment is on the other side for left handed shooters?
Yep. No problem with that at all. It comes with a slotted plate also and I think a blank plate with no loop.
I dare you to put the trigger group back into the gun with the Urbino stock in place. I am finding I have to loosen the stock way u pand move it back in order to get the trigger group in.
I'd recommend looking at your reassembly procedure. I didn't have any major troubles with it.
great vid man!
Thanks!
Any problems with the stock twisting since it doesn't index off of the trigger group
Nope! None at all.
Check out the agency arms hand guard it’s one of the nicest on the market
Thanks! I'll have to look them up
I agree, the agency arms is nice. too bad they stopped production. they're going for double the price on eBay. I wish I would've bought one sooner.
@@ronperez784 that really sucks. they were the top choice for when I finally decided to make the move on one!
Is the sling attachment for the index tab where the stock meets the receiver QD sling swivel capable or for an HK style hook?
It's just for a HK style hook. Personally, I think a QD mount at that angle would be difficult to utilize and may cause issues with the sling.
May I ask how much you paid for your Benelli M4 and how you like it? Any regrets?

No. This is my shotgun. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
How has that stock been working out for you? Heard some bad stories. Heard some good. Where'd you get it?

I am correcting myself! If you take the bolt assembly out, problem resolved.

this the same way you install one on a 1301 berretta
