nope. one piece is about cycles and how they repeat over and over, but is also about how luffy and his influence literally is changing the world and breaking those cycles. koby's character is there to show the world that luffy is actually good by siding with the strawhats, just like he has kinda already done by stepping in front of akainu at the war, his whole character arc revolves aroud the fact that Luffy has taught him not to judge people by what the navy/government claim about them, like he did with zoro in the first chapters

To add to that, I wouldn't be surprised if when luffy finds the one piece, he doesn't want what it is and just gives it to kolby. I think by luffys logic and his grandpa he would think the marines are heros and luffy never wanted to be a hero. Luffy honestly doesn't seem like the type of guy that wants a world destroying weapon.
Ever since I started Reading One Piece, I actually am a bit inspired on how Koby can be an easy "self insert of the viewer". He was utterly pathetic when introduced but is now somewhat of an A-tier Fighter with the potential of S tier preformance.
He’s most definitely not an A-Tier fighter … I’d call *Zoro* an A-Tier at the moment. Zoro definitely has an S-Tier future. We can only assume Coby will rise up cause he thinks he’s Luffy’s “rival” … But it’ll never actually happen. This is like Konahamaru surpassing Naruto and being “that guy” … Mever gonna happen.

We all know that isn't what we got with Rock Lee or... Konohamaru... out of the entire Naruto roster we pick Konohamaru? Bro the Naruto series practically forgot 99% of the roster and One Piece spends even too much time on the side characters like it's crazy. The comparison is asinine because One Piece is way too clinical with its attention to macro detail whereas Naruto is not. The point for Koby's inclusion as the series hits its later stages is just catharsis and pay-off, there's nothing else to it.

I would have been all in for Koby, Smoker, and Tashigi being the marines that constantly tagged a long with Luffy, being assigned to chase after the strawhats due to them knowing the Strawhats before the TS the most.

Koby and Luffy are going to fight and Luffy will not hold back. That’s just not how he would treat his friend. It’s dream against dream and Luffy wouldn’t disservice his friend by serving himself on a platter just so Koby can accomplish his. Even if getting captured would help him, he isn’t going to take that route, it doesn’t play into either of their characters. Their fight is going to be closer than it should be, and maybe Koby is able to pull off a risky tactic that pays off. My problem is they should have spent more time showcasing Kobys increasing power scale instead of waiting this late. Luckily there’s still some time for Koby to have some realistic upgrades that don’t seem incredibly hasty.
I reckon koby will massively surprise us. A high level haki user like koby might actually be a good way to combat gear 5's goofiness. Think Usopp vs Luffy but Usopp actually wins. The seriousness of koby vs the goofiness of luffy. After all they are presumably going to be lifelong rivals like Garp and Roger so I feel like always being in close fights where either can get the upper hand just makes sense.
Well, Luffy's power-ups were a little hasty too. He got three of the most important power-ups in Wano. But that's been Oda's weak point since the beginning, so it's okay, I guess.
No, they have shown his progress the entire time like he went from scrawny short weekling to someone who can actually be the torch of the future. They've shown it, but he's not a main character. He's not even an antagonist so you have to play delicate role when writing that. I think he's done amazing with it

Koby doesn't seem to be a guy that would accept a promotion to adrimal based on a false Win against Luffy at this point - that would diminish his character arc imo

Ever since finding out that Luffy has a real dream unrelated to being Pirate King, the door is wide open for almost anything to happen (all while still allowing Luffy to achieve his real dream). Even losing the race to One Piece and having someone else claim the PK title is on the table going forward. Getting captured by Koby could be viable as well.

I would love to see that right at execution when they ask for luffy last words, as koby is standing with his back turned to him on the execution board. Luffy smiles and asks Koby if he remembers the first day, and asks if it felt good to be so free with that monkey D grin. Koby then snaps out of it and either frees him or try’s to reason with the other admirals
One piece is one of those series’s where literally anything could go down in this final act. I’m honestly kinda scared for the straw hats because how are they all going to make it out of this alive😔
Now that we’re in the final Saga , I think we can accurately predict how the next arcs will go , The Vs Yonko Saga had 5-6 arcs ( if you include Reverie it’s 6 ) Egghead was our punkhazard Elbaf will be our Dressrosa Syphx or another odd place like the moon would be our small arc eg Zhou as we’ll probably go too the top of the Adam tree and the sky islands during Elbaf , Shiki or Lilith could take us their ,or maybe even Enel Load star will be our Whole cake, I’m pretty confident about that Laughtale and Subsequent war will be our Wano which will have a multi-act structure and likely one of the longest arcs , this arc will have a mini flashback arc most likely for many characters. We’ll also go too many places during the war including new places like a dreamworld , a darkness world , a hell , an ocean floor , and ancient time travel - in keeping with oda love for Story tropes And then the post arc chapters which we see a lot of world building e.g Water 7 , Wano will be our epilogue post war and wrap up the story fairly short timeframe as the story would’ve concluded already in Laughtale and with a new world order in the wars end
Koby mocked Blackbeard's dreams TO HIS FACE in front of his crew and a former admiral. Koby doesn't give af. He'll say and do whatever he thinks is right regardless of the consequences. That's been the core of his character for ages. The difference is Koby doesn't have to deal with Akainu in general to follow his own brand of justice as a member of sword. He just does whatever he wants, Akainu can't really do anything about it under most circumstances.
To be honest one piece is the anime that's shaped my internal belief of always follow your dreams till the end and if you give up before then you simply quit. Bleach was the first anime I truly feel in love with because the character designs and arts were great and ichigo had the most realistic approach to what he wants which is simply to protect his friends but one piece shaped a burning desire to never give up on following my dreams and to always pursue them regardless of how it may seem to others it only matters that I believe in myself and truly feel I can do it

I think the luffy and roger getting captured and executed parallel already happened in lougetown when buggy captured luffy and nearly executed him as some characters such as bartolomeo were inspired by it, so i feel like Luffy's EoS will be a good ending version of joyboy's ending and that luffy getting himself captured defeats his dream of being the freest man, luffy will either live free or choose death over prison Koby's intentions will be to stop luffy on laughtale but end up joining forces with luffy in stopping blackbeard/imu as koby will be the main marine that will survives/didnt resign after luffy and koby overcomes blackbeard/imu(i see that u mentioned this in your vid)
We are going to start seeing an absolute boatload of similarities between the upcoming Arc and water 7. I highly expect Elbaf will be steeped in history, but also traditions and laws. I expect Frankie will go to trial over his misuse of treasure tree Adam wood. I expect Koby to appear at some point, maybe even in the moments immediately after Elbaf. But moreso I expect Oda to give Vivi big mom's fruit (alluded to in alabasta in a dream where Vivi is dressed as a pirate and has a bit of big mom's hair looking like feathers in her cap), and for Bonney to get her father's fruit. What could one-shot a vengeful big mom? When Bonney or Kuma use their fruit to repel the cowardice of Usopp. Yes, usopp's cowardice is Ragnarok.
I like to think that Koby and Luffy will have some sort of confrontation later in the show/manga but will have to put their differences aside to take down black beard, kinda how it was said that Roger and Garp fought together to take down Rocks

I think a "Final War" is more pretense and fannon than something likely to occur- and the final conflicts are more likely to more intimate, even if a larger scale conflict is a backdrop elsewhere. Every incident of fullblown war in One Piece has unclear winners and losers unless they're an outright slaughter like Ohara- which is why the Revolutionary Army has been slow to mobilize for anything (Oda seems to have a more mature understanding of what war is than most mangaka.) Also, Oda has put a great deal of effort into humanizing Sakazuki since the timeskip, so I doubt Oda is going to really pit him and Koby against one another like that.
Didn't Doflamingo basically say out loud that he wanted to use Law's surgery to body swap with the national treasure of Marijois? Implying that the treasure itself has consciousness? There's also precedent for inanimate objects gaining devil fruits and becoming sentient, so what if Uranus was animated by a mythical zoan?
theres actually a lot of hints of luffy having an early death. Gear second and the hormone injections were said to shorten a lifespan. I think the luffy execution/capture would be similar to rogers because he only turned himself in because he knew he was already going to die
I mean considering that op characters regularly live to be over 100, luffy would probably make it to at least his 50s or 60s. But yeah, he’s probably dying earlier than we thought due to the stuff that you mentioned.
The past 2 arcs Luffy is completely worn out at the end of in old man form, make sense if an upcoming arc ends with Luffy and likely Robin being captured so she can't read the Poneglyphs. I haven't really seen anyone directly mention a plot point Oda seems to have built for Kizaru, Saturn purposely brought Kizaru to deal with his former friends as a loyalty test after Fujitora's shameful display on Dressrosa and Kuzan seemingly joining Blackbeard. I don't know if Saturn gets punished for Egghead since Kizaru was the one who stopped helping when Vegapunk died and forced the Elders to appear infront of their Marines in their demonic forms. The more I thought about it the less I think the Straw Hats do Impel Down 2.0, likely to be offscreen and have a Harry Potter newspaper like scene when Sirius broke out of Azkaban Prison. That should be Cross Guild, so Croc and Buggy can get the rest of the prisoners who got left behind last time out along with Kaido and Doflamingo's crews out. It's half way across the world, and since Fishman Island it's been years to us but a couple months to the crew so I don't see the Straw Hats going back just for 1 jail break. Marineford 2.0 is likely the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and the Revs though.
I think Koby vs Luffy will happen as the last fight. It will mimic the Roger and Garp team up but the opponent is going to be Imu. But i think that Imu will sway Koby to her side. Because Koby is really empathic unlike Luffy. I suspect that Imu's strongest power is to share her emotions with other people making them sympathetic to her. She could also promise Koby an admiral position.
Just no! Roger was the King of Pirates, and the title most likely will be obtained by Luffy. But here is a BIG difference: Luffy is the SUN GOD NIKA, the Warrior of Libration, A.K.A. the reincarnation of Joyboy. His fight will be against IMU, the Five Elders, Blackbeard, and all the big bad boys in the Navy. Koby is so insignificant to put in a sentence with Luffy. I can see Koby has a minor role in the end, helping Luffy, but going neck to neck against God Nika is ridiculous.

laugh tale cant be the last point in the story, there is something on laugh tale wats needed to defeat the government, i think it will end with Blackbeard and Luffy vs Imu (Blackbeard using Luffy to become king of the world), and Koby and Luffy after that vs Blackbeard
Coby being side by side with Imu is probably due to them representing different sides/ideologies of the government (Marines are an armed wing of the government after all)
Maybe I fail to understand how the marines work, but how can a person who resigned his marine code even be considered for the position of Admiral? From how it looks to me, rear/vice admiral is the end of the line for a SWORD member. I think Kobi has given up on the dream of becomming Admiral when he signed his resignation, ultimately this was the dream of a naive child anyways and his actual dream has always been to fight injustice.

The latest chapter named 2 week void clearly shows the idea of 100 year void. Like nobody knows about it because of the lost memories. And the poneyglyphs are nothing but notes written for somebody to oneself just like vegapunnk wrote. So vegapunk's death triggered his video. Theory I'm trying to cook with for the new silhouette and past. Shiki. Last time we saw who we think was Shiki he was taking sake drinks with Crocus. Was that like ASL being sake brothers or more like Shanks and Whitebeard drinking sake during peaceful talks? If its and ally or brother thing it might fit with Sakazuki saying the sake brother term it to Borsalino, and Sakazuki meaning sake cups to begin with. Maybe Dragon was their 3rd all as rookies? But also adding into the current storyline and the most recent chapter with Vivi yelling at Morgans, what if Morgans lied about Shiki and the other Rocks Pirates? Roger wasn't a bad person, Whitebeard was a physical monster but was a decent person, Gloriosa seems controlling but serves the Kuja Queen, Buckingham Stussy is not great but isnt a tyrant that we know of, Garp is the Hero of the Marines like Koby, and again Morgans just said he was blaming Luffy for Vegapunk so Morgans exaggerates a bit with everyone. Could he have make Shiki out to be pure evil, but in reality even Edd War and his attack on Marineford were exaggerated? Shiki also could allow a reunion of the living Rocks Pirates since Gloriosa is traveling with Boa and the Kuja Pirates and Buckingham Stussy wants her son Weevil back. Which would lead to the big reveal, Rocks was taken down by his own crew and Roger while Garp got credit for stopping Rocks because like Fujitora or Smoker saw the WG will cover up all sorts of things to protect their image. - Sorry deep theory, but it ties together so much if it happens...

Bruh the One Piece is a Drain Plug. Like to a bath tub. Luffy will remove it and drain all the water from the world causing underwater passages and what ever holes inside the redline to be exposed. All the water will drain to one place, the all blue. This is where all the water from the grand line will go.

No, they have shown his progress the entire time like he went from scrawny short weekling to someone who can actually be the torch of the future. They've shown it, but he's not a main character. He's not even an antagonist so you have to play delicate role when writing that. I think he's done amazing with it

The Pink Mamba and the future Pirate King are definitely gonna have their big moment together, and as the carriers of the wills of Garp and Roger respectively, their team-up against the biggest bads in the OP-verse is almost a sure thing. Ever since finding out that Luffy has a real dream unrelated to being Pirate King, the door is wide open for almost anything to happen (all while still allowing Luffy to achieve his real dream).
Even losing the race to One Piece and having someone else claim the PK title is on the table going forward. Getting captured by Koby could be viable as well.

I would love to see that right at execution when they ask for luffy last words, as koby is standing with his back turned to him on the execution board. Luffy smiles and asks Koby if he remembers the first day, and asks if it felt good to be so free with that monkey D grin. One piece is one of those series’s where literally anything could go down in this final act. I’m honestly kinda scared for the straw hats because how are they all going to make it out of this alive😔
Now that we’re in the final Saga , I think we can accurately predict how the next arcs will go ,
The Vs Yonko Saga had 5-6 arcs ( if you include Reverie it’s 6 )
Egghead was our punkhazard
Elbaf will be our Dressrosa
Syphx or another odd place like the moon would be our small arc eg Zhou as we’ll probably go too the top of the Adam tree and the sky islands during Elbaf , Shiki or Lilith could take us
their ,or maybe even Enel
Load star will be our Whole cake, I’m pretty confident about that
Laughtale and Subsequent war will be our Wano which will have a multi-act structure and likely one of the longest arcs , this arc will have a mini flashback arc most likely for many characters.
We’ll also go too many places during the war including new places like a dreamworld , a darkness world , a hell , an ocean floor , and ancient time travel - in keeping with oda love for Story tropes
And then the post arc chapters which we see a lot of world building e.g Water 7 , Wano will be our epilogue post war and wrap up the story fairly short timeframe as the story would’ve concluded already in Laughtale and with a new world order in the wars end

Koby mocked Blackbeard's dreams TO HIS FACE in front of his crew and a former admiral. Koby doesn't give af. He'll say and do whatever he thinks is right regardless of the consequences. That's been the core of his character for ages.
The difference is Koby doesn't have to deal with Akainu in general to follow his own brand of justice as a member of sword.
He just does whatever he wants, Akainu can't really do anything about it under most circumstances.
To be honest one piece is the anime that's shaped my internal belief of always follow your dreams till the end and if you give up before then you simply quit. Bleach was the first anime I truly feel in love with because the character designs and arts were great and ichigo had the most realistic approach to what he wants which is simply to protect his friends but one piece shaped a burning desire to never give up on following my dreams and to always pursue them regardless of how it may seem to others it only matters that I believe in myself and truly feel I can do it

I think the luffy and roger getting captured and executed parallel already happened in lougetown when buggy captured luffy and nearly executed him as some characters such as bartolomeo were inspired by it, so i feel like Luffy's EoS will be a good ending version of joyboy's ending and that luffy getting himself captured defeats his dream of being the freest man, luffy will either live free or choose death over prison
Koby's intentions will be to stop luffy on laughtale but end up joining forces with luffy in stopping blackbeard/imu as koby will be the main marine that will survives/didnt resign after luffy and koby overcomes blackbeard/imu(i see that u mentioned this in your vid)
We are going to start seeing an absolute boatload of similarities between the upcoming Arc and water 7. I highly expect Elbaf will be steeped in history, but also traditions and laws. I expect Frankie will go to trial over his misuse of treasure tree Adam wood. I expect Koby to appear at some point, maybe even in the moments immediately after Elbaf. But moreso I expect Oda to give Vivi big mom's fruit (alluded to in alabasta in a dream where Vivi is dressed as a pirate and has a bit of big mom's hair looking like feathers in her cap), and for Bonney to get her father's fruit. What could one-shot a vengeful big mom? When Bonney or Kuma use their fruit to repel the cowardice of Usopp. Yes, usopp's cowardice is Ragnarok.
I like to think that Koby and Luffy will have some sort of confrontation later in the show/manga but will have to put their differences aside to take down black beard, kinda how it was said that Roger and Garp fought together to take down Rocks

I think a "Final War" is more pretense and fannon than something likely to occur- and the final conflicts are more likely to more intimate, even if a larger scale conflict is a backdrop elsewhere. Every incident of fullblown war in One Piece has unclear winners and losers unless they're an outright slaughter like Ohara- which is why the Revolutionary Army has been slow to mobilize for anything (Oda seems to have a more mature understanding of what war is than most mangaka.) Also, Oda has put a great deal of effort into humanizing Sakazuki since the timeskip, so I doubt Oda is going to really pit him and Koby against one another like that.
Speaking of Koby's future I'm hoping that Koby could be a grandson of Lilin with him be named for Kobe beef.

theres actually a lot of hints of luffy having an early death. Gear second and the hormone injections were said to shorten a lifespan. I think the luffy execution/capture would be similar to rogers because he only turned himself in because he knew he was already going to die

The past 2 arcs Luffy is completely worn out at the end of in old man form, make sense if an upcoming arc ends with Luffy and likely Robin being captured so she can't read the Poneglyphs.
I haven't really seen anyone directly mention a plot point Oda seems to have built for Kizaru, Saturn purposely brought Kizaru to deal with his former friends as a loyalty test after Fujitora's shameful display on Dressrosa and Kuzan seemingly joining Blackbeard. I don't know if Saturn gets punished for Egghead since Kizaru was the one who stopped helping when Vegapunk died and forced the Elders to appear infront of their Marines in their demonic forms.
The more I thought about it the less I think the Straw Hats do Impel Down 2.0, likely to be offscreen and have a Harry Potter newspaper like scene when Sirius broke out of Azkaban Prison. That should be Cross Guild, so Croc and Buggy can get the rest of the prisoners who got left behind last time out along with Kaido and Doflamingo's crews out. It's half way across the world, and since Fishman Island it's been years to us but a couple months to the crew so I don't see the Straw Hats going back just for 1 jail break. Marineford 2.0 is likely the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and the Revs though.

I think Koby vs Luffy will happen as the last fight. It will mimic the Roger and Garp team up but the opponent is going to be Imu. But i think that Imu will sway Koby to her side. Because Koby is really empathic unlike Luffy. I suspect that Imu's strongest power is to share her emotions with other people making them sympathetic to her. She could also promise Koby an admiral position.

His fight will be against IMU, the Five Elders, Blackbeard, and all the big bad boys in the Navy. Koby is so insignificant to put in a sentence with Luffy. Coby being side by side with Imu is probably due to them representing different sides/ideologies of the government (Marines are an armed wing of the government after all)

Maybe I fail to understand how the marines work, but how can a person who resigned his marine code even be considered for the position of Admiral? From how it looks to me, rear/vice admiral is the end of the line for a SWORD member. I think Kobi has given up on the dream of becomming Admiral when he signed his resignation, ultimately this was the dream of a naive child anyways and his actual dream has always been to fight injustice.

Last time we saw who we think was Shiki he was taking sake drinks with Crocus. Was that like ASL being sake brothers or more like Shanks and Whitebeard drinking sake during peaceful talks?
If its and ally or brother thing it might fit with Sakazuki saying the sake brother term it to Borsalino, and Sakazuki meaning sake cups to begin with. Maybe Dragon was their 3rd all as rookies? Just adding to Oda playing with twisted mirrors of back stories for characters I think he mentioned in an interview once.
But also adding into the current storyline and the most recent chapter with Vivi yelling at Morgans, what if Morgans lied about Shiki and the other Rocks Pirates? Roger wasn't a bad person, Whitebeard was a physical monster but was a decent person, Gloriosa seems controlling but serves the Kuja Queen, Buckingham Stussy is not great but isnt a tyrant that we know of, Garp is the Hero of the Marines like Koby, and again Morgans just said he was blaming Luffy for Vegapunk so Morgans exaggerates a bit with everyone. Could he have make Shiki out to be pure evil, but in reality even Edd War and his attack on Marineford were exaggerated?
Shiki also could allow a reunion of the living Rocks Pirates since Gloriosa is traveling with Boa and the Kuja Pirates and Buckingham Stussy wants her son Weevil back. Which would lead to the big reveal, Rocks was taken down by his own crew and Roger while Garp got credit for stopping Rocks because like Fujitora or Smoker saw the WG will cover up all sorts of things to protect their image.

Kizaru & Fujitora will stay Admirals. Fujitora has the right heart for the new Marine that is coming with Coby, Kizaru will just stay Marine, for every course they chose, but he will probably be a lot happier with a new more peaceful course. Sakazuki & maybe Ryukugyu will have to leave.

Bruh the One Piece is a Drain Plug. Like to a bath tub. Luffy will remove it and drain all the water from the world causing underwater passages and what ever holes inside the redline to be exposed. All the water will drain to one place, the all blue. This is where all the water from the grand line will go.
