Thank you. You cleared up important questions for me. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
This is sooo helpful! I have learned much of this from my own mistakes (ie blowing up hair tools abroad!). I ended up purchasing new ones during my travels because I ruined mine; now I have a few options to bring with me, lol! I save the converters for lower power electronics. Most hotels will have a hair dryer; I always ask house rentals if they can provide one to save the headache of that particular appliance.
Hi Andrea, so pleased you found my video helpful, thank you!! ❤️
What do I need for a hot comb
I purchased a hot comb from the uk but need to use it in the us
@@BADASSBOUJIE if how many watts of limit, just buy step up transformer from Amazon
Hi, Thank you for the video. My question is are all the wall outlets in england flat like the one you have or are there any rounded wall outlets which require you to have a rounded adapter?
this makes much more sense! thank you so much
So glad you found this helpful! Happy travels!
That's super cool!
Thank you! I finally understand! 😊
Glad it helped!
Smart and pretty. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for your video. I have decided to buy a similar hair styler in Canada which is much cheaper than the one I own in the UK. Makes more room in my case. Thanks
That was enlightening, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
You haven’t showed the Voltage converters in the whole video ! ! !
well explained. Appreciates.
Glad you found it helpful!
Do I need a converter for my CPAP machine in Europe. Going from North America to Prague and river cruise. Is the converter part on my cord for my CPAP the big black box on the cord.
Really helpful in planning our Christmas trip to Japan. No convertors!!
Glad it was helpful! Have a brilliant time!
Hi. Great info. We are traveling from US TO Tahiti and I keep going in circles about what to get. We’ve got an iPhone, insta360x3, go pro 12, charging bank for insta batteries, curling iron says 120/240v, ac 50/60 hz 125w. Not sure if I should get the small light weight square universal adaptor or a Ceptics travel voltage converter 200W? If I go with the converter then I’m sure I’m safe right? Even if the items are compatible either way? Only thing it won’t do is a hairdryer. Your help is appreciated. Thanks
PS I’m not sure what voltage the insta 360x3 or its fast charge hub or go pro are compatible with. Trying to find out.
Just a note, not all South America is 110 volts so you will need a voltage converter if you travel to some South American countries.
Brazil is multivoltage country, 60Hz for the whole country. 220V in Northwest and North Brazil (Belem, Boa Vista), 127V (110-127V) in Southern Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo), etc..
Can I use it with the appliances?
Great info. I'm traveling to the Philippines from America, I want to bring my hight power Vitamix blender how should I do it? Thanks, Andre
Hi Andre, the Philippines works with 220V so you would need to either make sure your blender is dual voltage or use a converter. Learn more here: www.travelfashiongirl.com/voltage-converter-vs-travel-adapter-how-do-they-work/
How about traveling with something like this handheld travel blender that doesn’t rely on any power source - it just uses good, old-fashioned muscle power along with the whisking ball so you wouldn't have to worry about the voltage: amzn.to/3hulab6
Hope this helps. Have an amazing time!
Be careful because most voltage converters have a cap on wattage. You'll need a converter that can handle the high watts used by a blender. I'd suggest purchasing a blender with 220v instead. This is what I did when we moved to India.
Im sending a US tool to family living in Philippines so i will be sending a converter 110v to 220 240v needed
I have found that the world travel adapters are too heavy to stay in the sockets at some hotels. The smaller, individual adapters work better for me.
Great tip! 😃
Thank you for that information.
Can someone explain or show me how to use a Voltage Converter and will it also need to be connected separately to the Travel Adapter as well as your own cable ? As I don't do a lot of travelling and not sure if it would be worth buying another product ?
Are travel adapters used only for charging or I can use devices? For example hair dryer, soldering gun (with us type of plug), hair straighteners etc.
Generally anything that produces heat needs a converter. There are some exceptions, check the device for voltage requirements.
The transformer is most important if the country ie Philippines is 220 240 voltage. Which would fry your US 110v devices.
Did you mention that laptops, iPhones and AirPods are dual voltage ? I just want to make sure I bring my adapter and it will be safe to charge those? Thank you fir the great video
If the adapter or USB charger is rated 110-240Volt ac input, i.e. international voltage, you should be okay. Most USB chargers these days are designed/manufactured to accept an input voltage anywhere from 100 to 240 volts. An internal sensing circuit automatically monitors and adjusts for the input voltage.
Word of warning - I had a Beachwaver curling iron that is "dual voltage" but it did not work anywhere in Italy. I would love to hear from anyone that has used a dual curling iron and the specific brand since I will be returning in a few months. By the way, I looked in several stores (Bellagio, Venice, Cinque), but did not see any to purchase there. We took trains and did not want to go to any great lengths to track one down. Thank you in advance! :)
Hi just wanted to know if you had any replies, as I'm going over there in October 2024 and was going to take my hair dryer and straighten iron too, but looks like I'll be leaving them all behind.
Please help me. I brought a 1875 watt 3 in 1 ionic hairdryer in the USA that I now want to use in the UK. It say's on it 125V ac 60HZ . Will I need to buy a voltage convertor for it or not? Thank you
Buy voltage convertor designed for hairdryers (Insignia, Brookstone, etc.)

Hi, CHI straightener dual voltage G2 - 110-240V, 50/60Hz, 40W.. Can I use normal adapter 240v in India?
Yes.
Type D to Universal plug adapter.
Indian Europlug 2 pin electrical outlet are both 5.0mm thick.
Could you please share the link to buy this adapter, thanks
Hi Mark, sadly we’re still recovering from 2020 and unfortunately our Compass Rose product line has been massively impacted and at this moment in time we're not sure or if we'll be making our travel adapters again.
Here is another popular adapter that is also universal: amzn.to/3GvtLkJ
@@Travelfashiongirl thanks girl 👧
so laptops we only need an adapter not worry about the voltage, correct?
Yes, but always verify from the PSU. Like this says 100-240 V 50/60 Hz.

I would just use the hair dryers provided by European hotels, but I need the diffuser attachment for my curly hair and don't know if mine will fit hairdryers that aren't the brand it came with.
Hi, if you're looking for travel friendly diffusers this might help!

Africa uses the same plug as in Europe
So u need a watt amp for ís stff if u want 2charge ur scooter big heavy lump
Your comment about all voltage in N & S America being “110” IS NOT CORRECT! In Argentina they use 200V in wall plugs. So, travelers will need to check their devices and/or get a “converter” in addition to a plug adapter.
Can’t speak to other S American countries but I DO know this is the case in Argentina. Check Google if you don’t believe me.
Chile and Uruguay uses Italian 220V outlets, Peru uses US Euro 220V outlets, Guyana uses US, Indian or UK outlets on 240V.
correction, you can use it in Africa too. most African countries either use the UK or EU typical prongs! just so you know!
You are wrong, good video but south America use 220 volts not 110 like usa.
They used 110V to 127V in South American countries in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Suriname (Euro or US outlets).
