Paul George is a gift that keeps on giving for the Thunder. His departure from Clippers may turn into a high lottery pick and he may just play well enough to get Sixers the number 7 pick. Not to mention SGA, JDub, Tre Mann, Jaime Jaquez and Clippers' 2026 pick.
Wow I didn't even think of that. For years now I have already felt this was one of the most lopsided trades in history as far as outcome...But now, man, devastating for LAC. Go OKC man
SGA, Jdub alone is already very lopsided to Paul George individually. Insane what will come from this...And when you look back on how this was all achieved was by trading Serge Ibaka at the very start of this. Yes, they did eventually give up a current cornerstone in Sabonis but I'm glad they did because who they have already gotten as a result from his absence is far superior when you include they probably would not have been able to draft Chet, who I personally like better than Sabonis.
@@RussellD.Westbrook-q9e In my book, this is already the worst trade in the NBA history because most bad trades involve a rookie or future pick who have never played in the NBA (e.g. Kobe, Bill Russell, Dirk, Worthy, Pippen), but in this case, Clippers already had SGA for a year and still traded him away like it's the draft night. If this is not boneheaded, I don't know what is.
@chris-y05 Very boneheaded. Literally the only defense I have is that SGA was clearly not projected to be as good as he is. Really, his ceiling at that time was seen as lile a Jrue Holiday. A defense first guard who will improve his offense every year...he destroyed all expectations that no one could see coming so his trade was in route to getting both Kawhi and PG at the same time which at the time sounded too good to be true almost...and it was. Injury after injury, their only healthy year blowing a 3-1 lesd to the Nuggets. So I agree worst trade ever but that is the only defense I can give as limited as it is
@@RussellD.Westbrook-q9e GM/VP of basketball operations has one job and one job only: spot the talent. If they suck at it, they're in the wrong business. Don't tell me Ballmer architected this trade, if he did, there's even more reasons to let go of his GM/VP cause he doesn't need one in the first place.
Hot take it we do end up with 2 lottery picks presuming we don’t get lucky in the draft with LA I would much trade out of this draft for feature assets when SGA J-Dub and Chet are up for their extension Don’t see any rookie besides Flagg the Rugurts duo and VJ Edgdcomb cracking the rotation for the next 2 years Not a knock on any rookies in the class that’s just a testament to how deep this roster is
moving up this year probably costs 3 picks depending on how high you wanna go, they may have to be unprotected as well. we saw spurs get an unprotected future first for their 8th pick. i dont think you can get into top 4. it likely cost 5-6 picks to get up there this year or more. they said to get wemby it would have cost 10 picks.
We Have 4 First Round Picks In The 2025 Draft But So Do The Nets. we Have A Current 15 Man Roster, We Would Have To Get Rid Of A Player Or Two To Draft 4 Players. I Think We Need Another Shooter Off The Bench And A Back Up Big We’ll Be Complete
end of the day probably kelly olynyk is best option for 3 pt shooter, cuz he wont eat up 28 million like cam johnson and cost 2 picks to get. back up big, can probably trade for jakob poeltl with raptors tanking.
76ers dont have their pick so they not gonna tank. thats the reality. if you think they are gonna be a bottom 5 team, you are not being realistic. they got too much talent not to make the play in at least. i can see 76ers making 7-8 seed even. the east is very weak this year also. its why the bucks were able to climb out of the basement also. clippers have too much talent to be a bottom 5 team. clippers will be at least play in.
@@ThunderDigestYT regardless clippers have enough talent, and they are a big enough market where they can go out and get free agents where they will never be a really bad team. powell was always a good player. its just with kawhi injured, he is getting more useage. you acting like players who get more useage dont put up better stats. most gleague players you give them enough shots they will put up 20 ppg in nba. they have alot of inefficient volume shooters in the nba. and norm powell is not one of em.
@@ThunderDigestYT its like lakers picks, they have enough talent and can always sign free agents where they will never be a really bad team to get top 5 picks. clippers, new york, boston, and nets probably only 4 teams that can do that.
Never said he was a bad player? All I said was I doubt he keeps up this level of play. Also said they would never tank. Gotta keep in mind how competitive the west is, it is to the point that an above .500 team doesn't even make the play in.

Informational.
I think we should try and package our picks moving up to get a top 8 pick. Not sure that is doable tho..?

The clips thing is just speculation. I doubt Kawhi plays much, and no way Powell can keep this up.

76ers are only 3.5 games back from the 8 the and are playing 500 ball now lol east is so bad
yep can see 76ers getting as high as 7-6 seed.
