Just watched your current 2023 video as you reached this same point in your hike. I googled how far it is from Graylock to Hanover NH and this video came up! So I’m watching this again from your 2021 hike.
What will I ever do once these daily Taylor updates are done ? Not gonna think about that now, just enjoy seeing your adventures every morning when I wake. 💜
What an awesome 5th grade teacher! I'm sure that you have inspired the kids alot and who knows, maybe some of them will be in the AT class of 2030! I hope they know what a good teacher they have. Something else about the community. What fine people to help out they way that they do. Keep having fun and enjoy those new shoes! They wont be new for long. Best wishes!
Yay! New shoes! It sucks having to go without water or even having to conserve it when it's hot out. Sure it was a hallelujah moment when you guys saw that stream!
Well done in the heat. Being a southerner I always thought the New England mountain area would be cooler. Guess I learned something today. Get some rest and keep charging!
Aren't the views at Mt. Greylock amazing! This fall I will hike up there on a day hike. She wants to section hike parts of the AT with me, and she is only nine. Does great following trails, reading trail maps and orientating a compass on a map.
Morning Taylor! New shoe day, nice! Glad you were able to have the hike up Greylock you wanted. I love that section of trail, and I am jealous you had a clear day. I have only had one clear summit in all my trips there. I am curious why you switched to the tiger wall. Did you just want a free standing tent for the rest of the trip? Thanks for bringing us along today. I hope tomorrow’s miles are kind. Keep truckin’ and be well. -Grateful
I've never used my tiger wall, so I wanted some experience with that tent. I know there's a lot more tent platforms in this area, so I thought the free standing tent would be easier to set up on those
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker the tiger walls is a great tent! It will be interesting to hear your opinion on it vs the duplex after Katahdin. I have the Fly Creek UL2 HV and agree that setting up a free standing tent (or in my case a mostly green standing tent) on a platform is way easier. I really like BA tents and if you should have an issue they are a great company to deal with for repair or warranty. I hope you are enjoying your days up in VT. I hope the really hot ones were kind to you guys. Thanks for the response! Be well. -Grateful
Great going guys! Got myself some new sneakers today for work and cant wait to put on! And loved the lunch courtesy of Lee's Candy Kitchen. Saw all the goodies Kathy C was sending your way! 😂
I know this is an older video but if you read this I'm planning a AT thru hike in 2024, and I am filming all of it. Curious on how you filmed, edited, and uploaded during your hike. I would love a video explaining how you did this.
Hey Taylor. I have really Enjoyed your videos. Thank you! What is the name of your shop again. I will be at Lake Winni this summer at my aunts place on Cow Island.
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker just looked it up, wanted to do that for quite a while now. Looks cool! So nice that you will be passing it by just 50km or so :) Keep it up!!

Snakes are not cute. I can't wait until you get into NH. You may need micro-spikes in a few spots. I attempted Hale about 2 weeks ago and there is still a lot of snow even on the lower 4k footers.
Even now tho the GMC doesn’t want people going over 2,500’ in Vt until Mem Day as per mud season, they are likely well into VT in real time by now so will see how that is negotiated. Stratton is the first that comes to mind, tho there are no appreciable peaks of that height on about the first 20 NOBO miles in the state, Harmon Hill is ok.
Too bad the war memorial tower was closed, you get some great views. I'm guessing by now you ended up going through the forest fire area next to the border. Hopefully, it wasn't that bad.
@@holyspirit448 That would be interesting to watch. Problem is that he'd have to walk through too many over-developed areas (large cities). I also watch the guys who bicycle the World. Fave is Iohan Gueorguiev.
Still amazed that you consistently hike 20 plus miles a day and never fail to post a new video every morning. Mad props.
Definitely an inspiration. So disciplined!

Liz Breton, I had to! I ran down to Lee’s, grabbed a canvas bag and Sarah and I ran around the store filling the bag! 😁
Love the support and the skull sticker on you're mom's Jeep. Next, the Long Trail!! You both are doing doing AWESOME!!

You've made this journey look like all of us could do it no problem, which of course we couldn't. Doesn't feel like 3 months on the trail.
Well done in the heat. Being a southerner I always thought the New England mountain area would be cooler. Guess I learned something today. Get some rest and keep charging!
Oh no. It gets super hot and muggy in NE too. Maybe at higher elevations you might get a breeze but it can be hot up north too.
WOW Doing that many miles before getting to a great water source in that heat I'm glad that you two are ok. The area looks amazing. God bless.

Great job Taylor and Stretch! I may have missed it but why the switch to the Big Agnes?
Yes why the switch?
Think I missed it, too. Wondering the same thing ?
I was wondering too! Maybe switched to a 2 season tent for summer...?

Since your under a month from finishing the AT will you be doing the PCT this year as well? Might as well since you will be done with the AT soon.
No, I'm going back to work in July
You're Cruising. Take your time. Enjoy.
Oooo... an outro. 😄 Hehe. Lucky us. Enjoying the journey!
How great would it be that one of those 5th graders becomes inspired to thru hike when older. Hike on👍
Nice video with some good views, so let's keep on hiking 🚶♀️😀👍
What a super cool day 🔥🥾
