Nah,I have faith in them, they have powered through all these years while maintaining their originality+this song sounds promising(and I can stand the more pop-sound if it's just for 2-3 songs in the whole record).
yes me too. but I really don't want to see them become billy talent 2. stopped listening to them after dead silence. they completely changed their style in not afraid of heights
Yeah MCR did something like this, where if you listen to their 1st and 4rth albums, they sound like 2 different bands. It's nice to see band evolve and experiment but some alienate their sound completely. But I don't think Silverstein would pull something like this, tho we won't really know until they release the full album.
I don't know and don't care what others think. Silverstein is my number one band in whole rock genre from 2005 year, any band in the world can't beat it. This song for me is still Silverstein vibe and one of the best they have ever recorded. This chorus, just pure gold, it stucks in my head and can't go away. Athmosphere of this song is magic. I am glad that Silverstein still has got fire that many bands lost I hope Silverstein remain on top for much more time. Rock music needs band like this and people too. Almost every Silverstein song has got great meaning
The fact that they kept their sound the same for 6 albums is enough to literally have anyone bitching to stop. You guys do your fans a solid and we should be able to do the same. You guys were what literally got me involved in music and I love where you guys went with it.
I love how Shane sings more (his voice has improved so much over the years) and this song is a perfect example of minimalist post hardcore done right. Minimalist as in Defeater, Bayside, and the like. With this track, Shane uses his screams only as punctuation and combined with the electronic influence, it gives this track a very dreamy, ethereal feeling. So not only do those screams provide a wonderful kick, they also help to ground an otherwise spacey melody. As usual, Silverstein hits all the right notes. Very much anticipating this album.
Nate Davies You're so right, nicely summarised. I think the best example of that spacey post hardcore I've ever been exposed to is Deftones- Koi No Yokan album. I feel like this sort of approach to post hardcore is good for us people who grew up on the more angry stuff, but still appreciate the clash of beauty and chaos that post hardcore brings to the table.
Is true that this song is not of the "traditional" style of Silverstein. But I think it's clear that these guys have preferred, at least for this song, a soft melody and deep lyric over loud cries and destructive riffs. And I value it, because they are expanding their musical experiences while continuing to make excellent music.
Wait is your dp one of their Album covers? Like Shipwreck in the sand or something... I forget. If so lol that's awesome dude. And yes I agree with everything you said, tbh I always listened for their cleans more than the screams.
The problem is the song feels so uninspired. Listen to the instrumentals. "Oh I don't know how to play anything but breakdowns and chugs, so I'll just play a fast and heavy chug between the chorus and second verse even though the rest of the song doesn't compliment it at all".
I always appreciate the crisp and defined sound of Silverstein's songs. It seems like a lot of artists are skimping on sound production these days, but these guys always have a dynamite mix.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. "SILVERSTEIN NEVER DISAPPOINTS" This is what I'm talking about if bands out there would say that they are experimenting themselves. They don't leave the genre and the heaviness.
Been a Huge fan of this genre since the used self titled. Never got into Silverstein until about 2 albums ago. They are killing it right now can't wait for this.
silverstien has come such a long way I've loved growing up with their music in my life it's helped me more times then I can count and the fact that they are growing up along with me makes me have high hopes for them :)
This song is so.... enchanting.. addicting.. man, it just came up in the list but it stands out so much. To everybody saying this doesn't sound like the old silverstein, I think you're wrong. The one thing Silverstein is still doing the same is making an awesome song in which every part comes together so well. The vocals on itself are awesome, such as the instrumentals. Enjoy this as much as you can!
Wonderful. Been listening to Silverstein for the past ten years. Can definitely still hear that classic Silverstein sound in this new music with a twist. I dig it. It's cool to watch a band evolve. A little bit of change isn't always a bad thing and I think Silverstein proved it with this song!! Can't wait for the new album 👍🏼
Yes it's different, very different from the Silverstein I fell in love with in the 7th grade, but they have never made any bad songs. It's growth. I can't wait to see what else they put out.
perfect timing for them to start experimenting with a new sound. this song is a tell-all that this album is easily going to be as brilliant as all of their albums. I love this.
I'm in love with this song. I absolutely love songs like these, it moved my heart with the chords. It is the best feeling in the world! First song I heard by them, time to get into them :)
even though this isn't classic sounding silverstein, I love it, shows the band is evolving into there new sounds and trying new things. that's what you want from your favorite band! not just the same thing over and over it gets stale!
people say this is really different for silverstein but I wouldn't say so. they have plenty of slow songs that this fits into. I'm loving this album so far and I'm pretty sure I'll pre-order it
Its crazy how much they changed up their style on this album. I love Silverstien but most of their albums you always knew exactly what you were in for. This album is little adventure cause I have no clue where its going from one song to the next.
I literally never comment online but this has been bothering me since "Ghost" released ,all of these people complaining that "This doesn't sound like Silverstein" need to take a retrospective on all of their past albums there isn't one album that sounds exactly like the one that came out before it they evolve and grow both as a band and as people and each album has a distinctive sound to it and that is a natural progression of who they are as people, musicians/writers and producers its also the reason they've been a band in this scene for 17 years now and thats not a bad thing. They have always been the type of band to push their own boundaries style wise and production wise I think they really started to discover their sound on TIHTWS, and took it to a new level with IAAIEIT, and Dead Reflection will be no different and in six months we're all going to look back and feel silly that that anyone ever felt like these songs aren't silverstein songs, just my opinion.
Fark what a fantastic song. Shouldn't be surprised Silverstein has been on a roll for over 10 years
seventeen to be precise :P
And they keep on rollin and rockin strong 💪!
Closer to 20 homie
Holy shit. This album will be SO good.
Silverstein never seems to fail. Definitely one of my top favorite bands
"Lying is letting you go." enough said.
chug one man
i dont really get it
Get what?
if lying is leaving, then truth is just believing
i dont really get it. what's it supposed to mean?
I could not believe this was even Silverstein. My mouth was wide open the whole time. I love it.
Silverstein NEVER disappoint. New sound, still good.
This sounds nothing like classic Silverstein, but I still enjoy it.These guys sure have expanded their musical horizons.
yeah. I'm just hopeing they won't change their style completely..
Nah,I have faith in them, they have powered through all these years while maintaining their originality+this song sounds promising(and I can stand the more pop-sound if it's just for 2-3 songs in the whole record).

this is just a harder discovering the waterfront type of song. totally still silverstein
ive always loved silerstein from the 2007 days and im glad to hear they are still a joy to listen to! this is fking great!
I miss Silverstein. It's good to see they're still making songs.
This has a Red vibe and I'm LOVING it! These guys never disappoint.
I thought the same thing. It sounds like something Red would do and that's not a bad thing.
Yes! Was thinking the same thing, let's get a tour!
Red, or Breaking Benjamin.
I thought the same!
Gave me feels..
Had the same feels fuck,
Love it!

This band diserves way more recognition then they get.
Shane is probably the greatest guy from Canada ever. love him.
This song is definitely still Silverstein, it’s awesome!
I love how Shane sings more (his voice has improved so much over the years) and this song is a perfect example of minimalist post hardcore done right. Nate Davies nicely said!
Nate Davies if you don't like them the way they actually are then get the fuck out of here.
I started to listen to them when I was in high school. I was fifteen. Now I'm 27. Still love them.
Is true that this song is not of the "traditional" style of Silverstein. But I think it's clear that these guys have preferred, at least for this song, a soft melody and deep lyric over loud cries and destructive riffs. Still sounds like classic Post-Hardcore and Hardcore Punk.
tenesajuancruzenyb totaly AGREE!
The problem is the song feels so uninspired. Listen to the instrumentals. "Oh I don't know how to play anything but breakdowns and chugs, so I'll just play a fast and heavy chug between the chorus and second verse even though the rest of the song doesn't compliment it at all".
Nah they fucking matured as a band and unlike all the albums before this one Shane got personal with it.
Silverstein bringing that fire
i stumbled upon this by accident. they've gained a new fan.
This band literally gets better with time.
I just don't want Silverstein to stop making music. Ever.
I always appreciate the crisp and defined sound of Silverstein's songs. It seems like a lot of artists are skimping on sound production these days, but these guys always have a dynamite mix.
I love the atmospheric vibe of this song!!!
for moment broken heart became spirit with listening this music
they grow with us together. great new sound
Silverstein is always amazing
silverstein always breaking the barriers
what a great song
Glad this is gonna be a darker album, Shane said that while writing these he was in a really dark place and I think these songs reflect it beautifully
I've said this before and I'll say it again. "SILVERSTEIN NEVER DISAPPOINTS"

how is it every time I hear silverstein they sound like a new amazing band!!

Loving the new sound. Not really what I was expecting but this is great. Can't wait for the album.
NO WAY. SILVERSTEIN ARE ALWAYS PERFECT TO ME. THEY SAVED MY LIFE.
they start making music, love it !
Can i just say, this feels like old RED, but without lack of Silverstein originality. I love it!
This is so good! Can't wait for the next album!
Loved it! Nice work!
So so so so good
Yes it's different, very different from the Silverstein I fell in love with in the 7th grade, but they have never made any bad songs. It's growth. I can't wait to see what else they put out.
I love this song
Wonderful
I'm so ready for this album. Grace me with your presence, Silverstein
I liked it before I even started playing it, that's how much I trust that they will always provide top quality tunes.~
perfect timing for them to start experimenting with a new sound. this song is a tell-all that this album is easily going to be as brilliant as all of their albums. I love this.
I'm in love with this song. I absolutely love songs like these, it moved my heart with the chords. It is the best feeling in the world! First song I heard by them, time to get into them :)

This album is going to be incredible
aww man.. those synthesizers in the background create a totally different feeling.. this is so damn good.. experiments are welcome!
Silverstein never disappoint.
So good!
Feel like Shane really went to a different place vocally here and it's great! You can really feel the hurt he was feeling while recording this.
I'm so excited to see them in a few days jfc. this song is absolutely amazing. they never fail to amaze me.
this is so weird!! i love it ♥
I remember when silverstein made bad song.... wait.... there's no bad song

This sounds like it may be Silverstein's best album since A Shipwreck in the Sand. God Damn!
To all those who are saying this is so different. this is just a harder discovering the waterfront type of song. totally still silverstein
Truth is just believing. Real simple approach
Love the progressive sound, been replaying this non stop. I'll definitely being buying this album.

people say this is really different for silverstein but I wouldn't say so. they have plenty of slow songs that this fits into. I'm loving this album so far and I'm pretty sure I'll pre-order it
Video was posted 2 min ago yet there are comments 3 days old, what sorcery is this.
Video was unlisted (unlisted = not public) and most likely shared to Silversteins Twitter and Facebook followers, or something like that.
thenewgoddamngambit It was public on AP website
Cristian Fuentes AP is still ability power, right?
alternate press. you could share the yt link and all, it just wouldn't show up in yt by searching for it.
I feel like you have a PhD in acronyms. Thanks anyway!
