Video includes some of the attractions at Pleasureland Southport during 2014 and 2015. Music: 'Wonderful Life' by Black, (seeing as their original video was also filmed at Pleasureland!).
Cool video, like the music which goes with the atmosphere of the video. Some of those rides look similar to what they had in Barry Island a few years back.
+Garyholc Hey Gary :D Yeah, Barry had an Evolution, pirate ship, ghost train, flume, all the standards really! I visited in its final season, and you could tell it was on its last legs. Have to say that with Pleasureland, they're optimistic about their future, and so are making the effort to be as clean, tidy and as presentable as possible. :-)
Great video Colin, looks like there's a lot of improvements and new attractions in the park since my visit at Easter. I might have to pay another visit before Winter.
+Shane Blair Hey, thanks Shane. Yes indeed, it'll always constantly evolve. There was a Huss Take Off set up but not yet open when I filmed this in August to. :-)
+derelictCHEESEBURGER Thanks again! :-) Yeah, Norman mentioned there were 4 roller coasters he's trying to get to the park. I guess two of those are Dragon Flyer and Nightmare, will have to wait and see if they or anything else appear.
Dragon Flyers train is already at the park, he just needs the track now. But seriously, I saw the train on Monday and its condition. The engine is rusted to heck and open to the elements. Doubt it will run again.
derelictCHEESEBURGER Norman did buy knightmare. Only to dump the train somewhere for a bit til it gets scrapped just like Norman did with dragon flyer, the complete brainless heartless fool.
Video well done, I last went in 2014, but will be going again soon, this shows most or all of the rides instead of the 30 second rubbish the other people are doing on here
+davidjellis Understandable with no main draw really. It IS surviving as a small amusement park / seaside funfair. From its glory days, to a heap of rubble, and getting slowly back together again, its a very interesting one to follow. :-)
+Charlie Nicklin Hey Charlie, Yes! It was removed when Pleasureland closed in 2006, but current operator Norman Wallis tracked it down and put it back exactly where it was. :-)
Charlie Nicklin I visited and spoke with Norman a couple of weeks ago, he told me it was (and I quote)' "being converted into a Discovery-type ride" (end quote!)... I guess they're fiddling with the seating arrangements or something? We will have to wait and see.
+www.ukrides.info Let's hope they get some better restraints too! LOL! I hope that they can save Camelot's Knightmare as it makes me sad just seeing it sat there, rusting away on the way to Blackpool.
+Ryan Beet yeah, there's quite a few bits of former Pleasureland left... the Fun House building, the entrance gates & arcades, the Casa Blanca (exterior only) survived, the bar and a couple more buildings around Traumatizer plot to.
+Ryan Beet Yeah. Pleasure Beach smashed up everything they couldn't remove when they closed the park & facilities in 2006, so the only thing original in Casblanca is the building. But there's a bar & amusements and a stage area in there and I think they hold seaside cabaret type events etc.

Jesus. We went from quite a lot of roller coasters to four or five.

Great video and the music fits really well, I love that song
Thanks Dave. :D Yeah, if you watch the original video for the song, it was filmed in Southport with a glance or two at the rides.
Brilliant video! Looks much bigger than I expected lol be good if they can get knightmare from Camelot
+derelictCHEESEBURGER Thanks again! :-)
Yeah, Norman mentioned there were 4 roller coasters he's trying to get to the park. I guess two of those are Dragon Flyer and Nightmare, will have to wait and see if they or anything else appear.
+www.ukrides.info the park needs some big coasters :)
Dragon Flyers train is already at the park, he just needs the track now. But seriously, I saw the train on Monday and its condition. The engine is rusted to heck and open to the elements. Doubt it will run again.

Coaster World No it isn’t, the idiot scrapped it.
Anyone remember how the OLD pleasure land was with the fun house with the spiny wheel thing and the tekken 2 arcade machines?

+Liam Boston Thanks :-)
& Some Footage From 2013
Shhh!! ;-)
I haven't been since they demolished the Cyclone!
+davidjellis Understandable with no main draw really.

I have never been to Morecambe since Frontierland closed either!
+davidjellis You'd be heartbroken to see the state of Morecambe these days... and Rhyl.
+www.ukrides.info all very sad really :-(
Just outside rides. I miss the fun house.
At least they've kept the Fun house building and casablanca too
+Ryan Beet ya that's true :)
+cazy wade even if they did try to keep the fun house it would still be gone cos of health and safety
+Ryan Beet ya lok the death slids lmao loved it . first time I ever sprained my arm lol
+cazy wade I miss that ride in the fun house where you all sit in the middle and it spins very fast and throws you off it
Is that the Original Wildcat?
+Charlie Nicklin Hey Charlie, Yes! It was removed when Pleasureland closed in 2006, but current operator Norman Wallis tracked it down and put it back exactly where it was. :-)
+www.ukrides.info Also, What happened to the Fabbri Evolution?

+Charlie Nicklin blackpool wouldn't have any room for Knightmare unless they got rid of Infusion
0:43 I see they've kept a bit of the old Morrocan theme on that arcade entrance in the corner
+Ryan Beet yeah, there's quite a few bits of former Pleasureland left... the Fun House building, the entrance gates & arcades, the Casa Blanca (exterior only) survived, the bar and a couple more buildings around Traumatizer plot to.
+www.ukrides.info is there a bar in Casablanca I thought there wasn't
+Ryan Beet Yeah. Pleasure Beach smashed up everything they couldn't remove when they closed the park & facilities in 2006, so the only thing original in Casblanca is the building. But there's a bar & amusements and a stage area in there and I think they hold seaside cabaret type events etc.
+www.ukrides.info that's interesting. I'm glad they kept casablanca
