A docu-drama serial presented on the life of Quaid e Azam. The main cast comprised of newcomers but they carried their roles well. Every student in Pakistan has read about
Quaid-e-Azam, about his hard work and immense struggle that led to the creation of Pakistan. Yet no one really knew any of the personal details.
Like they say better late than never atleast some one took the pains, so what if after fifty years, to make a serial on the life of the Quaid. The most important factor of this play is
its open-minded stance. Its liberal viewing and well invested, extensive research created a powerful docu-drama. Quaid-e-Azam was the most open-minded secular personality.
He was blessed with the genius in taking on different famous personalities who confronted him. Yet his dry wit was his potent weapon. He hardly ever shunned those who presented
intelligent opposition to him. All those factors coupled with an A plus casting has made the serial a treat to see.
Shehryar Jahangir as Mohammed Ali Jinnah, is brilliant and he carries this extremely important and vital role perfectly. Zainab Ansari as the older Fatima Jinnah who is also the
narrator of the play is perfect too. The whole cast has worked well in their roles; the only disappointment is the person, who played the older Jinnah in the last episode. He looked
exactly like Jinnah but his pronunciation is a disappointment as the way he speaks Urdu is so unlike Quaid's. It would have been much better if Shehryar could have concluded the
serial or atleast had dubbed the other person. But other than that it was a treat to watch the play and keeping in consideration the lack of technical facilities available to the team
the result was amazing

The person who played old Quaid is my grandfather. Unfortunately he is not with us anymore, he passed away in 2011. He was a lawyer by profession, however he resembled Quaid alot and that is why he got this role. Some other details are:
His full name is Mudassir Shah Khan, D.O.B is 27th Jan 1924 and his Death Anniversary is 30th Sept 2011.
