The slicing angle, the impact lines coming from bottom to top. Without a doubt they're clearly referencing Tanjiro slicing gyutaro. However, Tanjiro improved, that's why the scream isn't as bloodlusted as S2EP10. I really liked that warcry from Tanjiro.

Idk if anyone noticed, but Tanjiro's red eyes became brighter than normal. And the force of that final impact, He knew his sister was going to die and was out for blood. Dude just kept slashing through as his head was about to get crushed. These animators really did Tanjiro well as they showed us his unmatched determination and thirst for vengeance.

@@viisovari4544 Yo, Tanjiro's voice actor has done a phenomenal job, especially in times of sadness, anguish, and rage. Idk how he manages to pull off those raging screams, which are by far my favorite parts, first off it sounds epic as hell and shows us Tanjiro's unbending will to achieve his goal, and secondly it shows just how much effort was put in those few moments. These screams are literally enough to bust someone's throat.

Yeah the voice actor in demon slayer are absolutly GOATED,every one of them,the best voice for me are tanjiro,nezuko,muzan,uzui and rengoku tho
Hantengu was such a good villain for what he represented. How lots of demons have sad backstories and then Tanjiro will sympathize with them, but this guy is asking for sympathy and doesn't deserve it and that just makes Tanjiro so mad.... So good
The other demons don't even ask for sympathy for Tanjiro to sympathize with them
But Tanjiro is sympathetic
But for Hantengu he asks for sympathy but Tanjiro is disgusted with him
True. Demons have been shown to be "tragic creatures", but this season showed us a different perspective.
Gyokko became a demon an saw himself above humans & Hantengu's story is about the sins of someone with severe victim mentality/mental issues and doesn't own up to his deeds, which is something Tanjiro spoke about in S1 episode 21.

Exactly while you could argue some demons are victims in either by upbringing or circumstances Hantengu will point fingers at anyone but himself and refuse to take responsibility/accountability for his own actions is one of the reasons it pisses off Tanjiro as no matter what life you lived you still have free will and you choose your actions whether good or bad their yours and you haven’t nobody to blame but Yourself
Well zohakuten isn’t hantengu. He has a different personality. He’s a righteous fellow just in a different way.

This music conveys Tanjiro's emotions so perfectly. It's not grief, it's what lies beyond grief when he still has to fulfill his duty. His entire world came crashing down, but in the moment he still has to push on. He composes himself, and then unleashes, before finally crumbling. And by God does this track convey all of that to perfection

I love how sinister this soundtrack is. It encapsulates Tanjiro’s rage for Nezuko perfectly

This is the first demon that tanjiro kills with rage and without a piece of benevolance or compasion. He just revenge his sister.
What an epic arc…
Even though it felt like ages between the release of each episode, the entire battle happened in the course of one night.
I liked it too. I just wish there were a few things they could have done more with the fights.

@@mikemoore9092 I don't really remember the fight in respect to the manga. You can check if all the content in the manga is shown, as from what it seems, they are trying to be as accurate as possible to the manga.

Dude tanjiro was so exhausted and distraught during this final scene that he didnt even realize he was actually seeing through hantengu and thought he was smelling hantengu in his heart.
Tanjiro was beyond pissed at that moment. Demons aren't just the reason for his and others pain, but in that moment he thought he lost his last family member who he fought and struggled for the entire last 3 years. He was out for blood and you can see it in his eyes more than ever.

Ik know majority of people regard Swordsmith Village to not be as good as Entertainment District, but you cannot deny this finale episode was incredibly amazing, probably the best episode so far.
Like anime season 3 could be better that season 2
I think that s3 doesnt have as much tension as previous one. Like Muichiro vs gokko felt too easy and short, also demons attacks didnt felt as dangerous as before, but this episode blew me away. I didnt expect it to be as good. It was everything I wanted from demon slayer. Proably one of my favourite episodes.

The difference between these two arcs is to also show that not all battles are fought at full speed, like Entertainment District. It comes in waves, there are moments of intensity, moments of silence, and moments of sheer, indomitable will. That’s what makes it so fantastic!

This is one of the most emotional soundtrack in the series with that chasing and desperation. That one shot they all have. The music fits perfectly.
This episode is one of my favorites now ! Bro when Nezuko burnt I already knew everything because I read the manga but still was crushed when I saw her burning, I could feel the pain of Tanjiro seeing her sister sacrifice herself to finally kill this cockroach of a demon that never dies ! 🥺😭

Havent read the manga but predicted that she was a outlier when it comes to the sun burn thing… her and tanjiro are like the luke and leia of this story …also awesome and horrifying that shes muzans prized target now.. im assuming things are bout to get frisky now lol cant wait !!

Same here, even though I read the manga of this scene the animation really riled up my emotions.
I was feeling mixture of anxiety, rage, sadness and finally happiness at the end of the battle
this is so powerful and my fav ost from demon slayer,
Nezuko made THE CHOICE ❤ for Tanjiro, such selfless and brave and understanding as little sister ... Tanjiro's determination and rage to kill Hantengu after that sacrifice ... the best siblings bond
1:34 is literally a more epic version of the ost from when nezuko was dying and it was showing flashbacks 😭

I love how season 2 and season 3 has different style to it and both works perfectly. Season 2 is more hyped in terms of fight scene and animation. Season 3 has more emotion because of the cinematography and music, plus the sound effect in season 3 combine with the animation added so much weight to the fight, the last sword swing with tanjiro's emotion fits perfectly. We screamed in season 2 because of the final epic fight, we screamed in season 3 because we felt Tanjiro's emotion.
Sadly these ost are going to end again and we're gonna have to wait for maybe next year again ... Apart from that, fire ost as always!🔥

The emotion in this scene was at full blast man, sorrow converted into rage and will power
There were SO many good OSTs this season. The ones that stand out are this one, Genya’s one, Muchiro vs upper 5 when he’s having the flashback of his brother talking about him being the chosen one, Mitsuri’s theme, and when the wooden dragons appear. They were all soooo good
Also tanjiro’s sun halo dragon dance and them showing yorichi behind him
i swear to god demon slayer is the only one show that i love all the OST right from the beginning of EPS 1 Season 1
Normally Tanjiro has sympathy for the demons he kill, but he had zero fucks to give to upper 4.

This was such a good scene. Tanjiro even through his injuries and the death of his beloved sister (or so he thought), the last remaining member of his family picks up all of his strength and rage and defeats the truly evil demon even though his head is being crushed
My fav part is from 1:46 - 1:51 man this part I loved the most... And any appreciations For Dieogo is less... He's a true legend ❤

I think its meant to symbolize that something as vile as hantengu is finally gone meaning the world is more cleansed again

What I love about demon slayer is you can feel what everyone is feeling in these intense moments. And I felt the desperation to cut hantengus head clean off. I was about to scream like how tanjiro was.
As an older brother with TWO little sisters
I can say that even though I knew there was no way they were gonna kill off Nezuko like that
I still felt every bit of Tanjiro’s desperation, pain, and fear as he was forced to make an impossible decision, and they pushed me to BAWLING MY EYES OUT
Even more so when Nezuko made the decision for him
My one little sister is still pretty young and doesn’t understand concepts like “Greater good” yet
But my other little sister, knowing the person she is, she’d do what Nezuko did
Kick my ass into battle, even at the cost of her own life
Because we were raised to be that way, raised to care about others, oftentimes more than ourselves

God knows how much i cried over this episode. Specially when Tanjiro won the fight, but didn't feel like a win at all and started crying for Nezuko. Easily one of the most touching scenes in anime history.

i agree with you there. natsuki hanae is really good at portraying tanjiro's compassionate side but also his rage, it's a really good contrast. my second favourite would be akaza's VA, those laughs he does during the fight against kyojuro gave me goosebumps i swear. most japanese VAs are really good tbh (except genya's VA, this is demon slayer not MHA 💀)

I absolutely loved this episode! There have been some complaints of the seasons as a whole, but this last episode was one of the best of the anime so far, and the music was next level as it were the visuals and the story. This cue is fantastic but my favorite part was the Nezuko song SPOILERS (for the extended sequence with her "sacrifice" until it's revealed that she has conquered the sun). Brilliant use of her theme and some others to sell the emotion of the scene!
I read some of the complaints. I mean if they think previous episodes were boring we'll be seeing those same people complaining about the Hashira Training Arc.
This arc was pretty darn awesome. It shows you a more realistic fight, how it’s not always full tilt, 24/7. There are rounds, there is pain, there are hard choices, and there is will, an unbreakable force, like a hurricane bearing down. That’s what I enjoyed most.
