Girl, getting rid of your 🤫food processor is like, getting rid of your monthly granny panties, “you don’t use them everyday, but that time of the month you do, you will be grateful “, I’m sure you can find a spot for that precious appliance 🙏🏼
Best radish greens of your life: (recipe from my farmer in Tennessee:) Leave greens on radishes. Rub with olive oil, S&P in a bowl. Place parchment on baking sheet. Roast until greens are crispy but not burned...sooooooo delish! We serve these with cottage cheese, fresh berries, pickles and crusty bread. Enjoy.
Oh my.......I would never give up my food processer. I do meal prep and not in large bulk like big families and still find it invaluable. I do make pizza dough and pastry shell in bulk and also use it for the holidays.
I like that you do store bought and home made. It’s really beginner friendly and feels less daunting for someone trying transition to more homemade/ homegrown cooking
I am not from another country :-) But I do get an organic crop share every years and a few years back one of the recipes they included with the radishes we picked up was to make pesto using them...DELICIOUS
@@AdalineZook I know right. For years I was tossing them. Made the same way as reg pesto too. Garlic, lemon, olive oil, parm cheese etc. The recipe called for slivered almonds and I replaced with pistachios I had here...I am sure you can use any nut. So good.
For Worcestershire Sauce, the Heinz brand has both High Fructose Corn Syrup and Corn Syrup in. Lea & Perrins brand might be a little more expensive, but it has much better ingredients in.
Hi, radish greens are great leafy greens to use in salads, but they do tend to go bad really fast so make sure you use them the day you cut them or the next day at the latest. They can also be blanched for 30 seconds and puree them to color bread dough or you can make a pesto out of them (classic pesto recipe only with radish greens instead of basil). They are pretty flavourless so seasoning is your best friend.
Don't get rid of the food processor. They're expensive, and even if you store it rather for those really really big dinner meal prepping, like Christmas or birthday bashes, it's best to keep it. Mine sits in its box on a shelf in my utility room. When we have a family get-together it's easily 30 people, so the processor comes in handy as I cook for everyone.
I'm from Germany and our farmer suggested to use the radish greens in a soup, if you like the sharpness then put them in just before serving, or use the leaves to make a pesto or salsa, and this is just my educated guess but they could go into falaffels aswell i think. i personally use just young leaves in the salad because they are so hairy and i don't like the mouthfeel.
I dont use my food processor a lot but its really nice when i want veggies cut in smaller chunks. Big slices of veggies doesnt take too long with a knife but the food processor cuts out so much chopping time when i want smaller chunks.
I use my food processor all the time when I meal prep. I grate & slice an entire block of cheese using it as well as grate cheese. Couldn’t live without mine 😊
My food processor gets used alot when I'm doing big canning days.. or when I'm putting up my garden, just depends.. I could live without it if I needed to.. it will just be tucked away until I need it... can't wait to see your canning videos.
Keep your food processor, it can be extremely helpful/useful for a ton of different recipes. Pie crust, salsa, energy balls, and yes, shredded cheese. But my advice would be to make it very accessible so you reach for it more often 👍
My current food processor broke and I instantly want a new one and adding it to my budget plans for next month. I have 3 kids who eat well, and like to make lots of bulk meals, so I will grate a couple blocks of cheese at a time when I have it out, because I hate cleaning it. Then I will keep the shredded cheese in a large ziplock bag. I will grate with a box grater if I have to - but I have wrist issues including carpel tunnel so that's my main reason. I will say it is the only thing I use my food processor for.... so I'm not sure if there's a better item out there for me that would be Also - after seeing your baked oatmeal many times I finally made some for my kiddos yesterday (they ate some for breakfast this morning) I used my honey canned peaches and frozen blueberries (all our wild blueberries we picked this summer was used for jam) 3 thumbs up, thank you for sharing :)
I’m wondering if it’s something I will want for canning season.. still thinking about it! And your welcome! Peaches and blueberries sound like a wonderful combination!
I think food processor. It ok but hard to get under cubbard so i put mine in basement with all my small appliances 5hat way if i need to mix in large mixer it there out by sink same with food processor. Blender' food emerger.cuting board large glassware measuring cup and scarper.
totally going to try marry me chicken for my next poultry dish! Ive thrown radish greens in a salad, I will say they are peppery but I like that. Ive also put used them like a spinach chip dip and put them in the freezer to throw small amounts into soups or broth. oh man a food processor is a staple in my kitchen I use it on everything...cheese, veggies, fruit, nuts, making brown sugar, breadcrumbs from old bread, breaking down oats, etc. I went to fb marketplace when my last one broke because I find myself reaching for it so often! I'm also cooking for a family of 8 though so maybe quantity matters.
I used to use my food processor all the time, but now really only use it for making pie crusts. Thank you for sharing these recipes. Can't wait to try!
You are right about letting meals/food sit and marinate in the frig a couple days, it really does enhance the flavors, also I am sure your chicken stock is so much more flavorful and healthy than store bought.
I broke my food processor about a year ago and finally got a new one and man I had missed it!! I use it for so many things when a blender or stick blender won't really do! Also, my mum always just calls worcestershire sauce 'Lea and Perrin's' - much easier! 😂
I would advise you to keep the food processor, since you already have it. You do a lot of bulk prep for your meals and I would think it would come in handy at some point.
Had to laugh at Corey's take on taco seasoning. Definitely in his head🤣🤣 I always make my own and the other week used store bought...I just did what the recipe said and dumped a whole packet in🙈 had to add SO much more meat and sauce because it was so salty🤣 oops. Also. Your comment about young cheese made me laugh...I'll have to refer to it like that now 🤣
Hi there don't you need your processor to help make your oat flour and coconut flour etc?. I don't use mine a lot at all but handy sometimes as I'm getting older and getting less strong and able to do things. Love your videos. X all the best.
If you have space for the food processsor I think you'd love to have it around on your BULK meal days where you are going to be putting away like 20-40 meals in a weekend.
Have you tried the copy cat recipe for the taco seasoning packet you use and don’t tell hubby and see if he notices the difference. My hubby is the same way so I have to be sneaky when I cook sometimes.😅
Have you made a Video Yet of How you make your Chicken Bone broth? I'd love to know. I'm scared of the pressure cooker and just bought one and would love to know how to make bone broth!
@Adaline Zook Am I over looking the seasoning salt recipe or can you tell me where to find it please? I sooooo miss using it but stopped because of the sugar😆
I have a beautiful KitchenAid food processor that I only use to shred zucchini to make zucchini salsa. I too am wondering if it is worth keeping. This year I'm going to try using my Ninja blender to make the salsa and see how that works. I've had the food processor way longer than the Ninja. But I use my Ninja all the time.
Next time it may help to oil and season your potato and radishes before smashing them, not only will they save you time, but it will make smashing easier 🤗
I love my food processor. I use it for so many things I couldn't begin to name them all 😊 That said, I have other small appliances I choose not to have. We're all different in what we value right?!
Feed your scraps from the vegetables to your chickens! My chickens LOVE that stuff! The only thing I don’t give is apple, citrus fruit, avocado or potatoes as those can be harmful
You may want to reduce the cooking time a minute or two for your boiled eggs so your yolks will be golden instead of tinged with green. Boiled eggs with a littke green taste more sulphuric.
The food processor makes things like pie crust and doughs so much easier. I also like to make banana ice cream for the kids so ours sees plenty of use.

You can use the radish green and make a Pesto with it - instead of basil or half basil and half radish green 😊

Would love to see a tour of your basement food pantry. Also the darker the greens the better for you. We use spinach in our tacos 🌮

Can't wait for your Broth canning video!!
You have the same glass cutting board my grandma had when I was a kid! I'm from Quebec, so it's cool, since we are pretty far!
I am french and i use the radish green in a soup: the radish green + potoatos + water (a bit). Its really good !!

The quesadila burger is my favorite!!! So excited to try this.
I love turkey broth. I cook in my toaster with a turkey carcass with veggies and spices. Sooo good and cans up amazing.
In canning season a food processor is a lifesaver!!! I use it for tomato sauce and all the things.
Food processor during garden harvest is 100% necessary for me too!
Food processor is worth keeping.. you won't know when you need it.. Also it's good for batch cooking
Agreed, you’ll regret it if you get rid of it!
Carlos loves scrambled eggs over radish greens. His mom fixed them that way.
Keeping radishes firm and fresh for two weeks store in a jar in fridge with fresh water change water every 5 days or so. Mine last about a month
For the burgers If you can find a good smoky flavor seasoning THAT gives it that great flavor

I’ve made radish green pesto for my husband. 😊
Okay, now that more then one person has commented about this, I want to try it!
Radishes go well as a side with tacos. The kind made with steak and lime. They also taste great sliced with lime, salt and pepper.
Try green leaf head of lettuce. It is very green and a better choice then iceberg or romaine.

Hey you can Make a Pesto From the radish leaves. Same like with basil 😊
You could make a pesto of your raddish leaves.. greetings from the Netherlands ❤
Keep the food processor you can make hummus and garlic spread and many more recipes
Thanks mom,very very nice....
Maybe try using the leaves for pesto!

Yum yum.. they all kooked so delicious.

Raffish leaf pesto is yum! Made just like normal pesto but instead of basil leaves it’s raffish leaf :) you can also add in some basil leaves.

Everything looks delicious! Does adding the paper towel to the lettuce really make a difference to keep it fresher longer?
Curious as to why you don't use the actual onion (white part) of the green onions? They are delish!!!!
You can dehydrate greens and then powder, make pesto!
I can’t live without my food processor- if for nothing else, making bread crumbs! Much like shredding your own cheese- SO much better!!!!
