I came to Coquitlam for 3 months. 13 years later and I'm still here. It's home.
When after I visited for last time, I thought, "Can I come back again?". Also, I was emotionally recesse due to I worried to can't back there. That's how can I tell beautiful place it is.
Never heard anyone describing Coquitlam as "affordable"
The ultimate sweet point to stay in Coquitlam is near Lougheed town center / Austin Heights. It comes in Zone 2 of translink passes. Walmart and Burnaby lake are close by. Easy access to Highway 7.

Vancouver rains more than enough rain.. According to Google this place gets about twice as much. Looks beautiful but I don't think I could do it 😂
you could def do it, coquitlam is one of the places i would go to vacation over the grand canyon and stuff
Con missed. Bears. most of the city you need to be aware a bear may come to your home.

I come from Mexico City commute there is 3 hours. How long take to Vancouver to Coquitlam?
The fact Kwikwetlem is amongst the most rainy places in the Vancouver metro area should be moved from the Cons to the Pros in a context where the threat comes from fires. One should bless the rain. Traffic jams should be less and less of a problem as working from home should be further developing as the environmental crisis will be further worsening before the pandemic will be over. Cost of life can be mitigated by purchasing the minimum in order to minimise the carbon footprint. Our world is changing and Kwikwetlem looks a great place to cope with the change.
