www.longplays.org Played by: SCHLAUCHI The game repeats endlessly, so after beating it twice I get myself killed! - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
The master system version is actually much harder: No powerups, punching is useless, enemies can kill you much more easily. It took me a long time to beat the first stage...
Woww! Never saw the arcade version before... Only played the SMS version, and it was pretty hard to get through... Still the same continuous loop, except the console version was much less colorful than the arcade version, and there's more characters here, as well as a "helper" you can free until it gets killed... Also more "worlds" as different nasties swipe your girl at the end of each round...
Something I never realized until recently: the music has a pretty strong Mappy vibe to it. Hell, the sound when you die is practically the same as the death sound in Mappy......
A fun detail I noticed in this version: When the enemy dies, they fly away depending on their afterlife beliefs. Gangsters become angels, Only one of the enemies in feudal japan becomes a spirit and the ape-people are reincarnated as babies
I had this game for Sega master system for the card drive port not the cartridge. Sega had a cartridge port and a card port. Unfortunately, I never bear this game due to no save points like today's systems.
Thank you for this. I used to play this as a child on vacations, but I never got very far into the second stage. It's like Kung-Fu Master with one-hit kills and random projectile weapons flying in from nowhere. Fun, but kind of ridiculously difficult.
Why were arcade versions of these games better than the console ones back then? Also Donald trump and gay donsld trump take drugs and somehow beat up gangs
Again, Schlauchi is great at playing games. I find the "premise" to quite interesting. onding with the previous kidnapper, to have a new guy steal her away xD Though 3 levels is rather.. poor, specially since there is no good ending.
It is cool how they justified the game going on infinitely by having the next stage boss escape in a time machine and you following suit. Kinda suggests that the game’s premise is to rescue your girlfriend as well as try to escape from an infinite time loop of some sort.
@@victor.elkins Your lack of experience in the gaming world is cute. You think people can't memorize and master these games when there's an entire community dedicated to grinding out games and getting the fastest times and the highest scores.
This version here actually answers alot or too many questions that I had over the Sega Master System!!? To a point that the games story/genre actually now makes sense now?! The SMS version was severely cut back and now I kinda see why?! But surely the 8 bit version could had the newer enemies, stages and music though?! But it was an very early game though out on the SMS card?! I kinda really would like to play the MAME original follow up to the SMS version that I played as a kid?! Will hunt it down! Definitely a better version but the SMS version was what it was though but the arcade original has got me interested again with it's better content here!!! I'm sure I'll be just as frustrated with this version as I was with the SMS but atleast it has more variation to it?!! Kinda....
Mistress Kixen...remember those were coin ups. They wanted your quarter's. Lol . But a bunch of them had an ending too just to stop you from milking the game if you had the skills downpack.

Hahaha totally true
But the arcade version look better than the master system!sprite are bigger and a bit more detailed
Can confirm master system version is almost impossible!
Gotta love how this game is infinite, so you're never actually her hero. :v
It’s more realistic that way.
Is there not even a kill screen?!
It's a powerful message through playing rather than telling...
That or Sega just wouldn't give the budget to actually put an ending in the game.
@@jesseking1403 Still, poor guy, karma and love is and will always be a bitch!
If he didn't stop to comfort crying bad guys he wouldn't be tricked over and over
Wow, I never knew this was based on an arcade game.
There was Kung-Fu Master, then My Hero, and then Renegade to breakthrough the beat 'em up genre.
Don’t forget Sega’s own FlashGal.
I LOVE that music! :D
It's always the same beat, but so catchy. ^^

This is one of those narmy games that's charming because it's so silly. It's actually pretty hard, tho.

The first stage ost still gives me Megaman 1 on NES vibes
@@Andre-rs1gpand the second stage gives me wonder boy in monster land vibes.

Nice detail there.
rest in peace, poor bulldogs 01:55
The way they dead is similar to Captain Brineybeard Phirana Bulldogs from Cuphead.
This girl is apparently so beautiful, that even monkeymen from the future want her.
Probably need some human DNA to mix in their gene pool!

Girl: HELP!!!😫

You wouldn't be able to as the game is endless anyway. lol
My Hero...Academia :)

My Hero - the arcade game where you get points just by walking forward!
Gordon Taylor
Just like Dig Dug.

Why the hair color his friend change after rescue???
Used to play this in a fish and chip shop in Hornsey.

I have never heard of this one, it looks neat. Silly, but neat.
Harder than it looks.
Why were arcade versions of these games better than the console ones back then?
Also
Donald trump and gay donsld trump take drugs and somehow beat up gangs
Arcade versions were better simply because consoles weren’t as powerful at the time
i loved this game bro..thank you!!!!

Now I want a coffee snack
I admit, this game is annoying, but the music sounds catchy
Reminds me of alex kidd in miracle world with the music style and the graphics
I thought same thing with the wild hogs
Pemsar que daban una paliza por este juego cuándo iba a las máquinitas
Je pourrais plus jouer a des jeux comme ca mon Dieu il est vieux 40 ans bientôt 2025 ce jeu arcade
hawaii 5.0 music in the boss´s stage
Before Alex Kidd.
I think he should kill the bosses at that point

What happens if you get the buddy in pink to the end of the level?
You marry him
@@ganirintiniano secret ending
You get 1M points and he takes off. Honestly not worth it because getting him there is a massive pain in the ass.
lol i hated this game
So this game is like the arcade pac man in other words it has infinite levels and doesn't end until you get game over?
Doesn't almost _every_ game from that time work that way?
Mistress Kixen...remember those were coin ups. They wanted your quarter's. Lol . But a bunch of them had an ending too just to stop you from milking the game if you had the skills downpack.
This is better than the Master System version, but it still sucks pretty hard.
0:08 Double Dragon anyone? lol
I use to play this game back in 87 at 7 eleven store
I never got past the first stage on Sega🤦🏾♂️
I sure Weird Video Games reviewed this...
Heard this is difficult 100
There is no way to finish this game?
So the game is never ending.
This looks like takeshi's challenge but kinda good.
Funny thing: the guys name was actually Takeshi in the Japanese version.
why did this game never got a sequel?, or re-released in any sega game collection?
This was one of the built in games for the Sega Astro City mini.
Game was developed by Coreland, which became Banpresto, then merged into Bandai Namco.
whoa you're good
Where's Thermoman?
What a ridiculous game. Lol
Wow, what a video! The game is pretty bad and the player playing it with invulnerability cheat makes it to a dreadful combination.
bad music, bad graphics, bad gameplay.
You fool, this game came out a whole two years before Double Dragon and just a year before Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun. This game is *their precursor*.
Double Dragon doesn't even have time travelling ninjas.
Wess I guess if it doesn't have 24 tracks of 24-bit PCM audio, it doesn't count.
However, Spartan X/Kung Fu Master did come before this by about a year.
It just has aged badly. This would have been considered good for the time.
The graphics and music though, I think are still good.
The sound is horrible, and the drawings are ugly. It looks like a early 90's arcade game.
Another breakout clone....
It's from 1985.
I what way is this a breakout clone, it's an action platformer
Jajajajaja no sabes nada
