During the whole of our marriage, whenever we went anywhere with the kids, My Wife would bring back a flower or leaf, maybe some grass, and she would wrap them in tissue and press them in the pages of the numerous books we had. She's been gone a good few years now, but we're still finding them in between the pages of books that rarely get read these days .... Just a pity she never made notes of when & where .. Your collections/writings will be 'valued' by folk you might never even meet ...How good is THAT! ? 😀
Pete, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful story about your wife. What a special thing to do by taking something from your walk and pressing it like that and how wonderful to find them in pages, scattered across your books. Beautiful. Take care, Pete🌻🦋
I can not express how much I enjoyed watching this video. Thank you so much for sharing a snippet of your life. Much love to you all and condolences for Uncle Rodger.
That's what I like about you and Mr Mindful Vanessa! You're not afraid to go to the not so fashionable canals, and give us a look at how beautiful they are! Well done battling through all that weed!
Thank you so much, Vince! This canal, minus the weed, is absolutely stunning and I totally recommend coming up here. The people are so lovely too. Happy cruising and have a wonderful week!🌻🦋
Hi Nanci, it is lovely to hear from you and thank you for your kind comment. I also want to thank you for buying me the coffees. It is so kind of you. Have a super week. Take care🦋🌻
Thanks for taking us on a lovely summer cruise, your little boat garden looks like you'll get some good harvests of fruit and veg. Well done to Mr Mindful for building those well designed removeable raised beds. Your artwork and poetry is amazing. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Condolences from South Carolina for your Uncle Roger. The Chesterfield canal is indeed absolutely beautiful... I think if I saw the view at 8:25 I would immediately moor up and stay until I was chased away...
Thank you so much for your condolences, Brewster. The Chesterfield Canal is absolutely beautiful and I think mooring until being chased away is a great idea. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Hello Vanessa - greetings from Poland. So sorry to hear about Uncle Roger. My condolences. Your narrowboat gardens look lovely. Not bad at all for someone who says they are not a gardener. Very beautiful. Well done. You mentioned the weather being very hot. It's 18.06 on 01/07/22 and the temperature is still at 34 degrees. It's been like this for the last 5 days. The blanket weed looks a real problem. At least The CRT are doing something about it. I hope it doesn't spoil your cruise. Talking of cruise, that was lovely. The canal looks so peaceful and quiet. Your video was superb. Lovely commentary and music. Thanks for taking me along. See you again soon
Hi Michael, I hope you are managing to stay cool in those temperatures. Our hot spell lasted one day, and wasn’t as hot as yours, but didn’t I go on about how hot it was!🙄 I am so glad that you enjoyed the vlog and thank you for your kindness about my uncle. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
I can imagine your boat one day being covered completely in vegetation! Blanket weed looks awful - we’re thankful not to have encountered it on the Lancaster yet…but we do encounter those ‘giant floating weed islands’ often! Lovely and interesting vlog you guys and may your Uncle Roger rest in peace, enjoying the sea forever - Carol, Rob and Tilly xox
Thank you so much Carol, Rob and Tilly for your lovely comment. I would happily have a boat completely covered in veg and flowers🥰 I can’t wait to do the Lancaster Canal; it looks beautiful. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
First i missed you last week wow what an enchanting video what a contrast in malta its hot dry and sunny in uk its just perfect what a friendly dog zepher is i dream of huggin her thank you so much for this refreshing time blessing
Thank you for your kindness and I’m so glad that you enjoyed the vlog this week. Malta is a beautiful place and I hope you are managing to keep cool there. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Vanessa your roof garden is beautiful, how lovely having home grown frit and veg. Sorry to hear about uncle Roger, sounds like he had a good life and left this earth peacefully.
Thank you so much, Sheila. It is so exciting having fruit and veg fresh off the roof and it tastes delicious. I really appreciate your kindness about my uncle Roger and even though his passing was a big shock, the way in which he peacefully slipped away is something that I find reassuring. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
My condolences to your family, a beautiful tribute to Uncle Roger. I have a Sycamore tree here, it is a busy tree, as you described. Thank you Vanessa and take care.
How lovely to have your own Sycamore with their wonderful angel seeds. Look out for dormice feeding close by. Thank you for your kindness, Christine. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Good evening Vanessa, I send you my condolences for your uncle, I see that you are well, beautiful vlog and above all very beautiful boat, be all healthy and have a good week
Thank you so much Jean-Louis for your kindness about my uncle and for your lovely words about the vlog. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful week🌻🦋
Dear Vanessa. I loved the commentary on the sycamore tree and the cruising scenes were beautiful. Your poem is wonderfully whimsical. My condolences to you and your family on the death of your Uncle - you made it sound like he just stepped out the door on the next stage of his journey. Bless you for all the joy and new discoveries you bring to us. xx
Thank you so much, Wendy. I love your phrase about stepping out the door on the next stage of his journey; thank you so much for this comment and your kindness. It really means a lot. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Thank you so much, Glyn for your lovely comment. Do you know what is strange? I am growing more on my tiny roof than I ever did in my garden when I had a house! Not sure how that happened!😄 Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Thank you so much for your kindness, The Health Junkie. I think the strawberries are the most successful plant so far on the roof. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Good evening my dearest condolences to u and ur family on the passing of ur uncle Roger🙏, always a sad time when a loved one departs but memories stay with u. Thank u for a very peaceful vlog on the Chesterfield canal it looks lovely from the clips u have shown us, it's amazing how ur garden has come on its so full of colour who needs painted pots and buckets when Alice Grace is in full bloom⚘🌷🌼🪴🕷🦗🐝🍃. All the best to u and Mr Mindful
Thank you so much, Simon for your kindness about my uncle. It is a sad time but it makes me appreciate every day more and focus on the important things in life. Have a wonderful week🌻🦋
Thank you so much for your condolences. Your UA-cam handle suggests that you have a beautiful seascape too so I hope you are close to the ocean. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋🌊
As always a beautiful vlog and lovely to tribute to your Uncle Roger - condolences to you and the family. Your garden is so abundant I think you can definitely call yourself green fingered! x
Sorry to hear about your uncle Roger, it sounds like he went peacefully and I’m sure he will be looking over you and guiding you safely on your journey and adventures to come, this vlog was a lovely relaxing tribute to him, he would be proud of you.Take care.
Thanks for a lovely vlog. Your "in-house" veggie garden looks great! My condolences on the loss of your Uncle Roger. When the time comes for people to go it's so nice if the passing can be calm and peaceful like that.
Hi Ruth, thank you so much for your kind comment about my uncle. I really appreciate it. I am glad that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Take care🦋🌻
A beautiful vlog as always. Sincere condolences at the passing of your dear Uncle, may he Rest In Peace. Your vlogs are just fantastic, will you ever have your poetry and pictures put into print as would love one.Take care and safe travels on the waterways,
Thank you so much for your kindness about my Uncle. I am so pleased that you enjoy the vlogs, Cat! I am working on putting together my journal to be published as other viewers have also asked about it which has now inspired me. Thank you once again for taking the time to watch and comment. Have a wonderful week🦋🌻
A lovely vlog. Very impressive rooftop allotment! Sorry to hear about your uncle but it sounds like he had a peaceful passing in his sleep. Have a blessed week ahead
What a lovely restful cruise and what a busy garden. I think the Spanish have it right heatwise, work in the morning and evening and siesta through midday. Take care and enjoy the memories of your uncle. =-)
We will definitely have to start thinking about building in Siestas as the temperatures increase. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and kindness, Lorraine. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Hi Vanessa thought your vlog was a wonderful tribute to your uncle he would have loved that. I didn’t realise how many plants you had and such a variety well done you. Flowers are gorgeous. Have good week.
Your travelling garden is amazing. Looks like it’s rewarding you for your effort. You do meet some interesting characters on the canals and it was nice to see some of the young ones helping you out. Has the weed boat cleared enough to make a difference? Sorry to hear your sad news Vanessa but at least it was a peaceful passing xx
Hi Paul, thank you so much for your lovely comment. The canal is a special place of interesting and friendly people mainly and it is one of the reasons I love living on it. The weed monster has made a real difference the further up we go and it is much much better now. I have been watching NB Will on the Pocklington and it is much worse where he is. Poor thing! Thank you again for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Margaret, that is such a kind and lovely thing to say and I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
A lovely tribute to your Uncle Roger - and what a peaceful way to go. Another thoroughly enjoyable vlog Vanessa; how lovely to cruise in the evening! Guy and I have been out on the river this past week for a few days . . . it was heavenly.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. 😊 Zephyr let’s off a scary bark if anyone comes too near the boat when we’re inside, but I don’t think anyone would take the fruit and veg. I share the kale with the birds though but there is just enough to go round. Have a wonderful week!🌻🦋
Hi Vanessa. Firstly condolences on the loss of your uncle Roger. Great to see what you’ve got growing on your roof. Thanks for the mention 😊. Your tomatoes are looking really good 🍅. The key to having loads of lettuce leaves is successional sowing of your pots. Sow a few seeds every 2 or 3 weeks over the summer and you’ll have plenty. Take care. Nick
Thank you so much Nick for a lovely comment and great advice. A quick question about strawberries, when do you know your plant has exhausted itself with fruit production? Can they be encouraged to produce more fruit? I bet you’re regretting commenting now!😂🍓🍓Have a great week 🌻🦋
What a beautiful vlog but I’m so sorry to hear about your Uncle Roger, one consolation is he went very peacefully in his sleep. Your boat garden is amazing, your tomato plants are much more advanced than mine, I wonder if it’s because the metal boat holds the heat because tomatoes like the warmth. Your journaling was beautiful as always and your poem was lovely. The Chesterfield is a beautiful canal but that blanket weed, you were very brave to plough through it! Take care Mr and Mrs Mindful and Zephyr. X
Hi Shirley, your comment is so thoughtful and kind, thank you so much, it really means a lot to me. I think you might be right about the tomatoes and the heat on the roof. All of my toms are the tumbling variety as anything tall would obscure the view when driving the boat and get stuck under the bridges; perhaps this type grows earlier? Look after yourself and have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Francis, it is so lovely to hear you find great pleasure in watching the videos that means so much to me to hear it. Thank you so much.😊 Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Alice Grace looks so pretty and you have so many lovely plants to adorn her. Must be lovely to chat to folks on the towpath and learn all about the areas you travel. Thank you for sharing another beautiful video
It is always so lovely to chat to people on the towpath. I always learn something new from these conversations. Thank you for your kind comment. Take care 🌻🦋
Lovely video as always Vanessa, yes you definitely have green fingers. Sorry to hear about your uncle Roger, its a shock for the family but a nice way for him to go.RIP Uncle Roger.
Thank you so much for your kindness, Christine about my Uncle Roger. I really appreciate it. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the video too.😊Have a wonderful week!🦋🌻
Your plants look great. Happy in the sunshine. That is a lot of miles to cycle. It feels so peaceful. We all love your vlog. Good old Romans. Zephyr so tired.
Welcome back Vanessa. That was really a splendid vlog. Thank you. Your Uncle Roger would have loved it, how could he not? You didn't say if it was a sudden death. I hope that he didn't suffer. When I was a young child, my mother said a bedtime prayer with me. The line "If I should die before I ‘wake" used to frighten me. It was from Joseph Addison, a 17th century English poet. As I have grown I now realize that passing in your sleep is the most agreeable way to depart this Earth. Either way, it hurts to loose someone you love. May Uncle Roger rest in peace. 🕊
Hi John, thank you so much for your kind words about my Uncle Roger. He had ongoing kidney problems and so was not in the best health but he wasn’t in pain as far as I’m aware. The prayer your mum read to you, I say every night before I go to sleep and have been doing that since I was young, so to read your comment was such a coincidence. You are right, it is the perfect way to slip away. It is lovely to hear from you and I hope you are both well and happy. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Hi I was enthralled.certainly immersed in this weeks totally interesting vlog.which was quite engaging.equally inspiring to watch. You always make such brilliant videos.capturing all the utter splendour of the stunning idyllic countryside in all its beauty.amazing Wildlife shots in an abundance.this superb video was no exception.just absolutely phenomenal in its entirety.I do think that the both of you definitely have such an extremely fabulous.totally intriguing nomadic lifestyle.wow.just to be able to continuously cruise the cut.in your very own stylist narrowboat.exploring what you survey.at your leisure.having no worry about all the pressure living on terrafirma .that it can bring on you .just love your spectacular functional roof top garden.which is so wonderfully laden with a selection of useful herbs.which can be used in your kitchen for cooking. I liked listening to the brilliant history of the canal side building .it was so very informative throughout.there was such beautiful background music playing that adds to the complete joy of watching your vlog.listening to your poetry reciting was just so wonderful. I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your uncle roger .my sincere condolences.have a wonderful week ahead.
Hi Anthony, thank you so much for your lovely comment and your kind words about my uncle. I am so pleased that you enjoyed the vlog and the little pieces of history along the way. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Hi I love your programs, on one of your recent ones you mentioned the pilgrim fathers left Plymouth to go to America. Actually they left Southampton, only pulling in to Plymouth to make repairs to a leaking ship. Keep up a great program . Chris
Hi Chris, thank you so much for your lovely comment and I am chuffed that you love the videos. Also a big thank you too for the information about the Pilgrim Fathers. It is a story that I would like to find out more about as I travel through this part of the country. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Truly appreciate your blog on growing things and putting up with all my questions. Others have contacted me and are going to give me free lessons on Blacking a boat 🚢 and how the grow things ! 😂
What a chuckle you gave me Vanessa...wearing your 'wellies' while gardening your 'allotment' on a narrowboat - Monty Don would be proud of both your wellies and allotment setup! In fact, I suggest you do a short gardening video and submit it to "Gardeners World" at BBC. By the way, I grow Tumbler tomatoes in patio containers and they're often my first ripe tomatoes of the year. Sorry to hear about your Uncle Roger passing...it seems peacefully...though bittersweet as it may be for you. Beyond that, I enjoyed the video! Cheers
Hi Ross, I laugh when I put my wellies on to garden on the roof too, so I thought that it was funny that you noticed that. I will get the lawn mower out next!😂 What a wonderful idea to make a little video for Gardener's World; I love that programme, but as I just make all of my gardening up as I go along, I hadn't thought about sending in a short film before. You have inspired me. I ate three tomatoes today, so you are right about the tumblers being fast growers. Thank you for your kind words about my Uncle Roger too. Have a wonderful week and thank you so much for your super comment.
@@themindfulnarrowboat You be welcome, I be certain - besides, much deserved! I watch 'Gardeners World' here in the States on Britbox. I'll be on the look out for your segment. Oh...I have to say I'm a bit surprised you don't have some basil growing [I have seven different varieties doing well in containers - Genovese, Thai sweet basil, lime basil, Persian basil to name a few]. I also could see some prostrate rosemary, different parsley's and even thyme - they all do well in containers. I know...space. But hey...Mr. Mindful could take care of that. I've even seen planters hooked to the grip rail along the gunnel. Anyhoo...I'll stop rambling. Cheers...
@@ross6343 I am having trouble getting my basil to grow well? I have a tiny plant which grows ever so slowly. Parsley does really well as does rosemary, but basil and coriander needs help on my roof. If you have any tips, then please let me know. Thank you for your super comment!👍🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat Without seeing the plants and just a general practice...for both plants...try repotting in fresh soil on top of about an inch of pea gravel [small chunks of broken crockery works to] in the bottom of the containers. Both plants don't like their bottom roots in soggy bottom soil. Check both containers for bottom warmth - how hot they may be - as both plants don't like really warm soil [I understand a narrowboat roof can get fairly warm or hot]. Basil is a heavy feeder - cilantro/coriander not as heavy but both like rich soil. Morning watering on both. A trick I use is alfalfa tea because alfalfa contains a natural growth hormone called triacontanol [a half cup of alfalfa meal or pellets to half gallon of non-chlorinated water left to brew for 24 hours]. I dilute that 'tea' 50/50 with water and will use that mix once a month on all my plants. I also use liquid kelp as plant food about once every two weeks during the growing season. I wont get into using worm castings because I'm going for KISS - keep it sweetly simple for your allotment location. Hope this helps! Cheers...
Beautiful Chester canal. It's weedy but it's worth going on. What a gorgeous looking boat garden you've made. My strawberries look small and weak. Should I keep them outside all the time and water everyday? Thankyou Mrs Mindful.
Hi Will, I think putting your strawberries outside is a good idea with a daily water, once a week plant food and a good chat every now and again but make sure your tiller pin isn’t watching as he might get jealous!😃 Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat Ha ha ha very good Mrs Mindful. Thankyou for the info. I feel a good stern talking to and some plant is in order. Then I will deal with the strawberries later. Have a lovely day.
Hi Nigel, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I think the Chesterfield Canal is a hidden gem and it is becoming one of my favourites. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Vanessa have you tried growing runner beans. They don’t need support, I used to grow them and the spread out along the ground. I expect they would tumble down the sides of the boat. No I’m not crazy 😂😂
Chris, that is a brilliant idea! I love the idea of them tumbling down the sides too. Have I left it too late to plant them? Do they grow well in pots? I’m excited to try them now! Thank you so much! Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
You could use a worm farm to eat veggie waste and paper / cardboard and ground egg shells.. this would help feed etc. There are many utubers A V worm farming is a good one but he has a much larger system by far. I use a plastic bin about 2× size ofshoe box..I use it to start seedlings often.....bush green beans give alot of production for space they take up . On a vertical scarlet runner beans are pretty and edible. Basil parsley an grow well in semi shade. I am way to old and isabled to head to England and buy a narrowboat but you are doing what i wish I could do. I never heard of narrowboats till they started showing up in movies in history of England but never as housing till about 20 years ago.
Marjorie, thank you so much for your super comment and what a great idea to introduce a wormery! Do they create an odour? I will look up those UA-cam videos that you suggested and hopefully start one soon. Also, a big thank you for the veg tips too; I need all of the help that I can get! Have a wonderful rest of the week, take care🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat if properly run,,,watch AV workers from New jersy usa..he's 0retty good, there will be no odor or fruit flys..I sold me worm farm after I no longer could take care of.but I have a little 9ne in my kitchen....and I can't deal with smells.
@@themindfulnarrowboat ps ...had an organic garden for more than 55 years + brought up on farm w/ garden....although mom was a city girl who had dreamed of concert pianist...and had 1 sister an artist , another a craftsman.
Vid#2 what a beautifully peaceful way to move to your next life Uncle Roger, you are much missed by those who love you I can tell by the way Vanessa talks about you...RIP. Glad you showed the weed remover that was my next question, it must be a full time job (but what a lovely way to spend your days) clearing the weed...great job whoever's doing it..happy travels to you and your crew Vanessa..is this a full time or annual holiday adventure?? cheers from WA
You are so right about the wonderful work of sitting on the weed remover and chugging along the beautiful canal!🥰 What a job! Thank you for your lovely comment, Jenny!🌻🦋
Just catching up on your vlogs. Been somewhat busy. Sorry to hear about your uncle Roger, my thoughts are with you all. I just wondered, is that an insect house of some kind and does anything live in it? . Best wishes, Russell.
Hi Russell, it’s lovely to have you back! It is an insect box, mainly for solitary bees and wasps, but anything is welcome. Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Sending you a gentle breeze and some cool shade🌬🦋🌻
Can I ask please, what are those little green bodied flies ( the one that tried to stowaway! ) called, you usually type the name of the flora and forna! I have always been curious about that one - lovely peaceful vlog as always thank you!
@@themindfulnarrowboat yes it was, you said it must have come off the leaf you picked and brought onboard with you, they used to be much more common when I was a child. It was at the end of the vlog. Don’t worry- I was just wondering 🤔 it was around 17 minutes into the video. ❤
Thank you, I love it too. It is the work of a company called Wraptious which supports local artists and it is printed onto one of my cushions. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻

Thank you so much Jeff for your kindness about my uncle and lovely words about the vlog. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Thank you so much, Sandy for such kind and thoughtful words. Have a wonderful week too🌻🦋
Condolences from Australia for the loss of your Uncle Roger. Thankyou for another magical vlog.
Thank you so much, Ian for your condolences. I am so glad that you enjoyed the vlog. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
What a beautiful vlog Lots of info mixed with both joy & sadness, reflections, beautiful views and that gentle love of life Thank you 🙏
Margaret, that is such a kind and lovely thing to say and I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
Brave Girl! ... Those weeds looked like something NightMares are made of 🥴😵😵💫
Hi Pete, the weed is much better now that it has been cleared. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
A lovely tribute to your Uncle Roger - and what a peaceful way to go. Another thoroughly enjoyable vlog Vanessa; how lovely to cruise in the evening! Guy and I have been out on the river this past week for a few days . . . it was heavenly.
Hi Jill, I’m so pleased that you have been out on the river. I bet it is stunning there at the moment. Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care🌻🦋
We both love your roof garden, I would be scared of passing people helping themselves to all the fruit and veg, keep up the great vlogs
Thank you for sharing I find great pleasure in watching your videos. Will offer prayers for your uncle.
Francis, it is so lovely to hear you find great pleasure in watching the videos that means so much to me to hear it. Thank you so much.😊 Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Lovely, enjoy your weekend, and all the other times.
Thank you Mike😊 Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Lovely to have a garden on the boat! My grandmother was named Elizabeth Taylor and she was born before the famous movie star!
What an amazing claim to fame!🤩 Thank you for your lovely comment. Take care 🦋🌻
Another lovely peaceful blog, thank you. Trish Parker
Thank you, Trish for your lovely words. Have a wonderful week 🦋🌻
Clever space management! Lovely little garden ! Cheers from The States ! Xo
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. Have a super rest of the week, take care🌻🦋
Your plants look great. Happy in the sunshine. That is a lot of miles to cycle. It feels so peaceful. We all love your vlog. Good old Romans. Zephyr so tired.
Thank you so much, Vanessa! It is always a pleasure to read your comments. Take care🌻🦋
10/10 for another good episode.
Simon, that is so kind of you! It is also the first time I’ve ever got 10/10 for something so I’m well chuffed with that. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
I love your garden, it makes the boat look so lush. 💚 Lovely vlog 💕 RIP Uncle Roger 🌹
Thank you so much!💚 I really appreciate your kind words. Take care🦋🌻
First one of your vlogs I've seen and I am really impressed, instant relaxation
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I am so pleased that you found it relaxing. Have a super week.🌻🦋
As I have grown I now realize that passing in your sleep is the most
agreeable way to depart this Earth.
Wow, beautiful sunny day, and lots of plants in. 💐 🌼🌸🌻tremendous, Vanessa.
Oh to have some sunshine now! Thank you so much for watching and commenting, Sian! Take care🌻🦋
I feel that. It is now pretty cool and has been raining since May. 😊. Need sun 🌞
Hi I was enthralled.certainly immersed in this weeks totally interesting vlog.which was quite engaging.equally inspiring to watch.
You always make such brilliant videos.capturing all the utter splendour of the stunning idyllic countryside in all its beauty.amazing
Wildlife shots in an abundance.this superb video was no exception.just absolutely phenomenal in its entirety.I do think that the both of you definitely have such an extremely fabulous.totally intriguing nomadic lifestyle.wow.just to be able to continuously cruise the cut.in your very own stylist narrowboat.exploring what you survey.at your leisure.having no worry about all the pressure living on terrafirma .that it can bring on you .just love your spectacular functional roof top garden.which is so wonderfully laden with a selection of useful herbs.which can be used in your kitchen for cooking.
Thankyou for your videos. They make me happy and I love Zephyr and your life on the boat. 🙏🐕
It is so lovely to know that the videos make you happy. Thank you so much for watching them. Have a wonderful week, take care🌻🦋
Truly appreciate your blog on growing things and putting up with all my questions. Others have contacted me and are going to give me free lessons on Blacking a boat 🚢 and how the grow things ! 😂
Wow! Good luck with blacking your boat. Thank you so much for watching. Take care 🦋🌻
Cheers...
These are super tips! Thank you so much 👍⭐️🌻🦋
Beautiful Chester canal.
I think you are very good for my mental health. I wish all of you tube was like you.
That is so kind of you, Rosie! Thank you for your lovely comment. Happy New Year!🥳🌻🦋
Lovely video Vanessa. Haven’t seen many videos on the Chesterfield despite it being not too far away from here. Good luck with the allotment!!
Hi Nigel, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I think the Chesterfield Canal is a hidden gem and it is becoming one of my favourites. Have a wonderful week 🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat Thank you. The true spirit of adventure. Have a good week too Vanessa, already looking forward to the next one.
I am sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace. Thanks foe the lovely journey.
That is such a kind comment, Christine, thank you so much. Have a wonderful week. Take care🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat you take care too.
Very sorry to hear about your uncle Vanessa 😢
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, Jack. Have a great weekend.🦋🌻
I love your journal...well done...
Bless you, thank you so much Marjorie; it means a lot to know that. Take care🌻🦋
Another lovely video, it looks a very peaceful life
Thank you so much. It is mostly peaceful. Have a super rest of the weekend. Take care 🦋🌻
@@themindfulnarrowboat they should be ok in pots, you should get a harvest if you plant them now. Soak the seeds overnight before planting. 😂
👍👍 Thank you!
I did things a bit different but I used to comment on his site ofyen.
Sounds like you are from a talented family🤩 Thank you for your comment 😊🦋🌻
Was it in this vlog as I can’t remember which green fly you mean? Thank you for watching. Take care 🌻🦋
@@themindfulnarrowboat yes it was, you said it must have come off the leaf you picked and brought onboard with you, they used to be much more common when I was a child. It was at the end of the vlog. Don’t worry- I was just wondering 🤔 it was around 17 minutes into the video. ❤
Looks like quite a lot in answer to your question
