I thank God that a Sprit- revealed knowledge and understanding has been given me in these verses. It all sum-up to LOVE, that is His will; it is only thru the demonstation of that love, that we are given that strong desire (his power) to LOVE HIM, back. To love Him back is to live worthy of ìa God-honoring life which Paul commends to the saints in Colosse, in vs. 8, "the love for others", it is Spirit"-given". "The end justifies the means" a fruit bearing and a God-glorifying life. The means summarises the end - all done by the power of His Spirit. Glory to you, Lord! 😊
When my husband passed away 15 years ago, I started asking Yehovah God to place within my heart, the desires of His heart for me. Over the years He has given me things to add to that prayer... Teach me to Love like You Love, Teach me Your Truth above man's divided opinion of truth. At each stage of my walk with Him, He has brought just the one He knew would be instrumental in helping me learn and grow ever closer to Him... Eric Gilmour... you have become one of those 'tools' in His hands.... thank you for your teachings, thank you for your willingness to be used by Him...for His glory and not your own. It is so refreshing to see a teacher of The Word that's not out for personal gain but for the spiritual growth of anyone willing to have eyes to see and ears to hear.
