    I've watched videos of You doing double shin slides. It kills my shins & I'm into MMA. The pain is worth it though cause it looks so badass! Keep up the killer tutorials.

    Do a suicide roll tutorial or a screwdriver tutorial!!!!! I would be so happy if you choose to do one but if you don't I would still be very happy as long as you keep making tutorials! Don't stop training and keep getting better and better. You might even get first and the best trick award at the art of motion this year! Good luck! :D

    @Leif Schmit It wont let me reply for some reason. But I started freerunning for a few years and when I moved to New York I ended up booking a job for Kodak called Equinox you can look it up. That was my first freerunning job.

    • @LeifSchmit
      @LeifSchmit 10 років тому

      Awesome! I'm always interested in other peoples stories of how they began they're careers so I can make better decisions :) Trying to pursue a career in the performing arts is tough :P

    • @LaFlairParkour
      @LaFlairParkour  10 років тому +2

      Leif Schmit It sure can be. But if you are not wiling to go full heartily and devote yourself to what you love you cut your chances down a lot. Move where you need to move, train where you need to train and do what you have to do. You are the only one that can grant you access to your dreams

    • @LeifSchmit
      @LeifSchmit 10 років тому

      LaFlairParkour Thanks for the support! It's hard committing to a career choice that doesn't work out for most people - especially when everybody is telling you so - your words are very much appreciated :)

    • @LaFlairParkour
      @LaFlairParkour  10 років тому +5

      Leif Schmit Most people tell you not to chase your dreams or that you will fail because when you make it it will be a reminder that they didn't try hard enough. Only take advice from those you look up to and have done the things you want to do. You don't know until you try. If you are afraid of failure you will never succeed. I have learned that falling is just a sign of me trying to better myself. Accept loses as wins and you will achieve your dreams.

    Hey i have been watching ur channel alot lately and one thing i noticed is that on another parkour/freerunning channel called ronnie street stunts is that he has a difficulty meter on each one one of his thumb nails for his tutorials. Maybe u could add some of those to make it easier so know whats really hard and whats not

    Actually the part where you say the “meat” of the shin is is actually where the fibula (the second bone of the lower leg) is. It is much thinner and more fragile so I would be careful about that because it is most common to break that rather than the tibia which is quite strong

    I know it's not quite as smooth, but can the same sort of concept be applied to sliding on table tops? Because it seems like a slide is the best way to get across long, low obstacles i.e. picnic tables, oddly placed benches, etc.

  • @Lucky-bg1di
    @Lucky-bg1di 9 років тому

    I'm not sure if there's an actual name for it but is there a tutorial on this channel where it teaches you how to slide under things while running ( I know i'm bad at describing things). For example- In the assassin's creed unity golden age trailer where arno slides under debris and immediately starts running again.

    @Phlatpop 10 років тому

    Hey! So you have said before how long you have been doing parkour for but I was wondering how intensely you started off training? Have you always trained every day or did you start off training just once in a while?

    • @LaFlairParkour
      @LaFlairParkour  10 років тому +1

      no my first few years I was slightly on and off. I found parkour while in college so I was juggling ab lot of things. But as we all get I would get the bug and train every night for a few weeks and then not for a week or two. So it was kinda intense but more of when I could squeeze it in.

    JESSE LA FLAIR what are those shoes called. i always buy wrong shoes for parkour so mostley i get slipped by my own shoes. but sometimes my shoes has grip, mostly it doesnt my shoes are called "SKECHERS FLEXSOLE"

  • @JamieClark
    @JamieClark 10 років тому

    LaFlairParkour won't the conditioning (and climbing with shins) lead to bruising and possibly stress fractures? You can't build up calluses for impact, only friction. Bones don't strengthen from stress. You can build up pain tolerance, but it seems like something that should generally be avoided. If doing true parkour (ingress/egress, etc) then maybe it's a useful skill, but for show, it's the free-running equivalent to break dancers spinning on their skull. Impressive, but more damaging long term than ripping up the skin on your hands or other "normal" injuries.
    Thoughts?

    My biggest dream is to fly to LA and parkour at the teampest freerunning academy.
    sadly, i live in europe and it cost a LOT of money to fly to LA. I would be SO happy to see you or meet you for a split second. My question is, is there anymore kinds of those parkour places in europe? Please answer this its really important, i want to become a good freerunner and i know some moves but i need the "push" to start being more proffesional. if therse ANY one of this places be sure to reply to this comment! it means a lot to me...
