I was a resident of US and my friend in Canada was undocumented, so i was hesitant to provide information about my visit. I had similar thinking then yelling at the officer as a Nigerian, but after 20years in US, I understand reason for it. If your intention for coming into the country is good, you will have no issues responding to immigration questions. You are granted student visa or visitor visa but your true intention is to stay in the country. Guilty mind always fear the truth

I would like to share some information with you about my move to Canada that I would like to get your advice.
I applied for Canada visiting Visa August 2023 and my visa came out by December same year. I later found out that coming over as a student would be much better than just visiting but even as that I had visiting Visa already. So I applied in a school, which I have gotten admission this May 2024.
The confusing part I would like you to advise me is , should I entered Canada with my visiting Visa and do flag pole or should I apply for study permit which I don't know the possibility of having it since I already had visiting Visa on my passport since December?

You're right. They do this randomly. It happens to me almost every time I visit Yankee. And in 2019 I was deported and my visa revoked with 5 years ban. Meanwhile that was my 9th visit with that one making my second in that year within 4 months. BTW, I wasn't residing in nigeria.

Stop the foolishness. I had my phone check at Toronto Airport in 2006 when I flew in from NYC due to my response to questions from immigration officers. I was a resident of US and my friend in Canada was undocumented, so i was hesitant to provide information about my visit. I had similar thinking then yelling at the officer as a Nigerian, but after 20years in US, I understand reason for it. If your intention for coming into the country is good, you will have no issues responding to immigration questions. You are granted student visa or visitor visa but your true intention is to stay in the country. Guilty mind always fear the truth

Also, immigration officials are authorized to query your purpose of visiting the country. Be prepared to answer all/any questions at the point of entry if you are asked questions.

My brother I truly love your channel but to be honest internet is open for everyone to view and hear so as the Canadian immigration officials equally listens to you and other bloggers. Once thing is when such information is made public the officials discovers and knows it has become knowledge thereby they chooses other means. I think the best thing to tell our people is to be truthful, if you are coming for tourist, come visit and go back and then you may have build your status to return and subsequently ask for permanent residency.
