Some thick cover around that track Pete. Glad to see Woody get a kill & be on the right side of the fence for you. Willow chancing her luck at the end 😂
Sorry Woody you weren't supposed to see that! Made me laugh. Although generally animals don't understand our words but by our words/thoughts I think animals understand a lot more then we think they do. So forgiving of our incompetence. I hope you also got a good feed after all that. Bless you all, thanks for the video.
Well you had your hawk take a chick unexpectedly I have a dog taking Pheasant, Woody knew he was tethered or we would have had him taking it from Willow. Once I had a little Jack Russell eating a bone, Woody flew out from the trees and stole it from his mouth and flew off with it. Crazy hawks. Have a great weekend.
Hi Pete Great video and a great hunt for woody It amazes to me how woody can get into those rambles with all those thorns I think willow wanted all that pheasant lol Quite the work out for you getting through the rambles but all worked out That’s we’re all your effects and dedication Pays off
Goodness sake those bushes would’ve cut you open if you didn’t have any gear on!Woodys looking lovely his feathers are so lovely looking right now!the dogs look well to!Keep on the beat Pete thanks for taking us along with you on this one again!😊
All that pucker brush you were going through was crazy,Pete!! Amazing how Woody gets in there. So he wouldn’t be able to get out without your help? Great video!! :)
Re our last conversation regarding keeping cool while hunting I bet you needed a shower after that outing😁. We could do with less of those difficult days. Lovely video as usual even if it was a bit frantic.
@@freebirdofreason1994 We've been out about a half dozen times, Otis caught a bunny and a hen pheasant so far. I'm probably going to upload a video tomorrow, not a lot of footage.🥴
Hi Pete me again 😂. I have my hawk flying on the creance now 10 meters approximately she's coming along nicely but when I took her to a different location she started to panic and tried to fly away should I stick to the place she's familiar with or go back tomorrow? I'm slowly cutting her food portions down today she weighed 2lbs. I know every bird is different but myb if I cut her portion size down she'll be more focused on me ??? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Pete. Many thanks Jason.
@@jasoncraig1678 well I'd say she not ready yet for sure as you probably know. It's normal when there is a different location they can be different again. The weight needs to be lower than at the usual place, they loose there head again. I'd say get her instant returning first then change area, you need her almost coming before you call. Manning in the other areas, lots of it. The key is weight and manning. Couple days at usual place and then the other. When they are free that's different again so make sure she is instantly returning, no delay, no need for several calls, should as I say be almost following you as you walk away. Is the weight dropping off OK.
@freebirdofreason1994 I'm having a bit of trouble to drop her weight down she seems to staying at almost a steady 2lb should I cut off food for a day or so?
Are you feeding chicks, if you are remove head, and guts, if the weather is mild its difficult to loose weight. Obviously difficult to say without knowing whats what. No red meat, no bone, empty chicks should lower weight. If she is slow to drop its usually because of temperature and food intake. @@jasoncraig1678
Short and sweet video. Showing hawking is not always a bed of roses. Great content! ❤👌
Thank you, appreciate the comments, have a great weekend .
Fantastic relationship between your and the hawk. I wish some of my ferrets would be that thoughtful to wait. 😮
@@pixie706 Thank you, I do love ferrets, they are so cute, great pets.

Yep, this was one of those, cut to bits too.
We need frost and cold then I’m ok.
Good luck with your season.
Good hunt Pete. Bramble the bain of my life. 😊
They are a pain in the butt, literally.
Thanks for watching.
Those blackberry bushes could be a pain, I always tried to avoid them.
🤕🚑
Yes I do normally but unfortunately my dog and hawk seem to enjoy watching me struggle.
How’s your season going.

Oh me pushing through those dense bushes , I would've had to scrap the filming due to all my swearing 😂
I did cut out a lot of swearing when I saw Willow on the track lol.
