Most of these stories are sad but I wouldn't label all of them as dumb. The majority of NBA players have no clue how to manage their money so going broke is inevitable for a lot of them. Some guys get lucky and find qualified and honest help to manage their money and, obviously, some don't. NBA players are like lottery-winners and 1/3 of them go broke. Most of the people who judge these guys would go broke in the same situation. A lot of educated people go broke too.
All brothers, that tells you a lot who don't know how to keep their money and drugs and women don't mix no one taught these dudes anything about money, and that's why they went broke SMGDH
They (BB Players) never deserve all that $$$ b/c surgeons make about a 10th of what these PROFESSIONAL athletes do, which seems to be quite the oversimplification or just flat-out incorrect. Those surgeons went to school for the required years to become a surgeons. Now, I've never been a PROFESSIONAL athlete, however, I did play some D-3 basketball and we ran 2-A-Days and we had film sessions, ta-boot. Then, we have the PROFESSIONAL athlete. Most go to college and play ball, and many don't continue-on to graduate. However, I would imagine, PROFESSIONAL athletes practice and train quite a bit more than D-3 athletes do. They live on the road, which keeps them away from home, friends, and family. They have to deal with mental and physical injury (I don't see/hear about many surgeons tearing an Achilles or blowing out an ACL), which all too often ENDS careers. The bottom line I'm getting to is this... They all knew what the market and possibilities were. They all had the opportunity to choose their own path. If you ask me... I think either choice has the potential to lead to pretty good financial security (with the proper wealth management, of course)!
@trutru9018 Your definition of Broke. Of course, he's not worth what he once was. However, his annual income is about 2 million per, including his 800,000 he gets from Reebok annually. In 7 years , he gets 32 million from Reebok ,a lump sum payment on his 55th birthday. You wish you were Broke as Allen Iverson.
@trutru9018 You wish you were Broke as Allen Iverson. Of course, he had to scale back from when he was a player. Divorce, spending lavishly, will do that to a brother. When you get older, your spending habits will definitely change. I'm sure he can live off the $ million dollar he streams annually, not including the 800,000 Reebok, which pays him annually. In 7 years, he's scheduled to receive $32 million lump sum from Reebok. You wish you were that broke.🤣🤣
‼️‼️‼️‼️ They don't tell the truth. Contract is for 30 million, But taxes, agent, & NBA fees it's actually 16 MAXIMUM! MORE THAN ENOUGH, But this is what folks DONT know & what these type of videos DON'T tell u.
These players never deserved all that money to begin with. Overpaid athletes with minimal education getting paid 10x more than surgeons who studied their assets off for years
Don't deserve? Only 1% of the population can perform at their level. Also, they are investments for the teams who recoup revenue far in excess of the salaries paid out.
If there were no athletes such as them, there would be no revenue for the owners and to all the ancillary businesses connected to the sport, not to mention auto, retail merchandise, sports betting, lawyers, accountants, etc.....
Great points but they still don’t deserve all that wealth by “playing” sports. I don’t see how it benefits society such as jobs like doctors, scientists, professors, etc. Besides, most athletes live a lavish lifestyle and bring in too many unnecessary kids. That’s worse than illegal immigration imo.

Allen Iverson is far from broke.
You think so? Maybe he isnt YOUR definition of like destitute broke but uh....he's broke bruh. He's on eggshells and scaled back dramatically.

@@DaNastyOne1His ex-wife won half of his $800,000 monthly Redbox deal. Also steaming has diminishing returns due to overcrowding and lack of interest.
Be honest these guys made this large amount of money but taxes and agents took their share of the money

I don't like how this channel is mixing photos, not in the segments. It seems racist. Rewatch and put the names with the faces
I agree
Racist?
Basketballs and footballs are racist. Hockey pucks don’t seem to result in the depth of problems for those players.
Ò
Do you know the definition of racism?
I believe y’all should start off with the ITS first. I believe the lotto winners usually the dumbest though.
Not bus driver mama fam what she got to do with it

Don't deserve? Only 1% of the population can perform at their level. Also, they are investments for the teams who recoup revenue far in excess of the salaries paid out.
You have no idea of the revenue the players generate for the league. Sports leagues have worked on the formula to ensure that they continue to profit.
If there were no athletes such as them, there would be no revenue for the owners and to all the ancillary businesses connected to the sport, not to mention auto, retail merchandise, sports betting, lawyers, accountants, etc.....
Long story short, they wouldn't get paid such if they weren't generating multiples of that income.
