When you say to get your writtens done, are you referring to ALL of them, ALL at once (PPL Ground school, IFR, Commercial, Multi, etc.) before you start building hours for your PPL? Or are you simply referring to just the PPL Ground School alone?
Do NOT, I repeat - do NOT - get your written done early. That is a terrible piece of advice every CFI gives their students because they are afraid that the student just can't do it and will bail. If you do your written early you'll have to relearn everything for the practical portion of your checkride since many months have passed. Do NOT do the same work twice. Get your written done at the last possible moment before the checkride.

Sporty’s does give an endorsement for the knowledge test.
Sporty’s definitely gives the endorsement. I used it to take my PPL written prior to my first lesson. (Scored 100% btw)
GLEIM also provides the endorsement upon successful completion of the ground school!
