  • Kαλημερα, καλημερα, καλημερα!!!Good day and welcome to the new video of the Hellas Heavens channel!
If you plan to bring your pet on vacation, watch the video below...
To begin with, there is the necessary documentation that needs to be collected so that the dog or cat can cross all the borders with you on the way to Greece.
And if it doesn't seem like that at first glance, it's not too complicated to get everything, but it takes time, so the advice is to start at least 6 months before the planned departure.
First of all, it is necessary that your pet has a passport, which you will receive at the veterinary station after vaccination against rabies and chipping.
This also means that before the age of 3 months a dog or cat cannot leave the country because only after that they can receive this vaccine.
In addition to the basic information about the pet, the ID chip number as well as evidence of regular vaccinations against infectious diseases and rabies are listed in the passport.
In addition to the passport, you also need a certificate of the animal's health condition, which you can also get at the veterinary station before leaving for the trip and which must not be older than 48 hours.
To enter the EU countries, a titer test is also required, which is obtained on the basis of a blood sample of an important pet, which the veterinary station sends to the institute responsible for this type of analysis, and this certificate is permanent if you vaccinate your pet against rabies on time every year, without a day of delay. .
The titer test can be done one month after the rabies vaccine, and only 3 months after receiving the results of the titer test, the pet can leave the country, so it is necessary to start the procedure on time.
Finally, based on all these certificates, the veterinary inspection issues you a certificate for leaving the country...
