Came for the video about On The Silver Globe (which was fantastic) and stayed for the LOTR. Great video, and I also agree with your assessment that there hasn't been a trilogy thats matched the legacy that LOTR left since its completion. Some singular films for sure but nothing of that scale.

Thank you so much for watching both of my videos ❤️ LOTR set such an enormously high bar that I don’t expect anything to surpass it personally. However Dune may come close ! I haven’t seen part 2 just yet but the reviews are out of this world. Have you managed to see it yet ?

Although his appearance was only temporary, his services will always be remembered. Boromir is a Legend 👑

I'm an absolute fan of the legendarium, but this is one of the few places the movies trumped the books.
Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen were amazing in this scene, so was the composition of the events leading to it. The dialogue... oh, the dialogue.
No matter how many times I watch it, the scene summons Onion Ninjas like a horde of Uruk-hai issuing from the Black Gate.

Couldn’t agree more my friend ! Boromir’s death definitely had less impact in the books, I believe Aragorn just found him as he was dying, there was no last stand (correct me if I’m wrong.) Truly incredible in every way.

@@AuteurCinema Yeah, iirc that scene from the books, they just found him dying with a lot of dead orcs and no hobbits. Aragorn did an exposition dump after a successful Skill Roll in Forestry or a similar Ranger thing to tell us what happened, haha.
Then they made some sort of lyric eulogy after putting him on a boat. But no redemption for Boromir. I actually disliked him in the books.
But Sean Bean and his magnificent performance redeemed the character for me..

@@ashaide Haha I thought that was the case ! I have to agree I definitely prefer Boromir in the films oppose to the books. With adaptations there is a chance to revisit the source material and actually build upon it (or more often than not in most adaptations they make things worse 😂.)
