Those were excellent special effects, even though they weren't kind we're used to today. But thanks to new technology, movie effects are becoming more amazing than ever before.
Are you a f-ing idiot? TODAY SPECIAL EFFECTS CAN'T COMPETE WITH THESE EFFECTS! IT'S PURE AND GENUINE HAND-DRAWN ART IN MOVEMENT, IT'S IMMORTAL AND EVERY TIME IS STUNNING AND WONDERFUL LIKE THE FIRST TIME AND WILL ALWAYS BE, IMBECILE! TODAY'S SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE ALREADY OUTDATED, IMMORTAL PERFECTION, IGNORANT MORON!
I never understood this scene as a kid. 15 years I noticed it was actually an allucination produced by the concentrated alcohol ingest scene that came before it.
You’re actually wrong about that. A standard bottle of champagne is 26 fluid ounces, right so add that to 2 gallons of water (conservatively estimated of the water content of that pale) and champagne having alcohol content of 20-25% that solution would dilute the champagne so much that Dumboshouldn’t feel it. But that’s completely irrelevant because alcohol has no halucigenic proprieties regardless of how much it ingested or the alc/floz content
This was so scary for me as a kid... I can’t believe this is after “Baby Mine.” After that scene we were in awe or crying, but all that gets ruined with this, we start getting scared now.
The Casey Jr sequence was quite a catchy and happy scene along with the Flying sequence. Goes to show why it’s my number one favorite Disney film as it deals with emotion regarding storytelling.
Me too. That part actually scared the heck out of me as a little kid like when the two white elephant heads pop in front of the camera and the body of head elephants then a yellow leaned his face close to the camera.

I don't understand how scene is scary to some people. It never scared me as a kid and I'm so confused these days by that one question: Why are people scared of pink elephants?
Pink elephants are commonly known as a hallucination from alcohol consumption. My father used to work in AA rehab and talked to a guy who would always see pink elephants in the corner of his room watching him. As for this scene in particular, the animation is a bit trippy, particularly the black soulless eyes of the elephants.
What if Dumbo took some drink from Ethan Hunt and blow bubble in front of Benji and Luthur in Mission Impossible 7: The Elephant Troubles... Benji: What are those? Luthur: Pink Elephants. Ethan Hunt: I would say that I'm not in a dream land. Dumbo: (Giggles) 🐘

1:51 When I rewatched this movie 2 years ago for the first time in a VERY long time, I thought this whole sequence was just the song. But nope; almost only 2 minutes and the rest is just Disney trying to create as much acid trippy like filler to pad out the run time and make people be like “where is this going???”😂
In spanish this song goes like this: Quien es quien va Empiazan a desfilar vienen ya Mira que saltos dan Sera quiza parientes de satanas It's a little creepy, it's like an ode to the devil
Look out! Look out! Pink elephants on parade Here they come! Hippity hoppity They're here! And there! Pink elephants everywhere! Look out! Look out! They're walking around the bed On their heads Clippity clippoty! Arrayed in braid Pink elephants on parade! (What'll I do? What'll I do? What an unusual view!) I can stand the sight of worms And look at microscopic germs But Technicolor®️ pachyderms Is really too much for me! (evil laugh) I am not the type to faint When things are odd or things are quaint But seeing things you know that ain't Could certainly give you an awful fright! What a sight! Chase 'em away! Chase 'em away! I'm afraid! Need your aid! Pink elephants on parade... Pink elephants... Pink elephants.... Pink elephants.....
I honestly loved this part rather than afraid because I was so fascinated by such creativity that flowed with the music.

Disneys Dumbo answers the question what if pyschadelic drugs became popular in the 40s instead of 60s ?
Not sure
Answer is yes
Take a couple tabs and watch the movie.

That humanoid elephant, whose body is made of disembodied elephant heads use 2 creep me out as a kid.😨
Me too. That part actually scared the heck out of me as a little kid like when the two white elephant heads pop in front of the camera and the body of head elephants then a yellow leaned his face close to the camera.
For some reason, Pink Elephants seems like something that belongs in Fantasia rather than Dumbo.
When I was a kid this song gave a vibe similar to the song “The Ants Go Marching”
I’m could only imagine what people back in the 40s were thinking from this scene
My favorite part
Aha, I get it. Alcohol withdrawals are called seeing pink elephants.
1:39, Dots plus slanted blue stripes plus straight up and down green stripes plus horizontal red stripes plus PINK equals HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE FUEL!!!!

I don't understand how scene is scary to some people. It never scared me as a kid and I'm so confused these days by that one question:
Why are people scared of pink elephants?
The stylised elephants are distorted and grotesque.
It's the same discomfort certain people experience with clowns.
I honestly loved this part of the movie as a kid, it was my favorite part.
Same here.

People really found this creepy? Its really not that disturbing to me. Also the animation is pretty good.

Disney did not know this animation would be used on sheets of acid 💀
I'm getting Tim Burton vibes

He was most likely inspired by this film, as he wasn’t even alive when this film was released.
