I owned an Alesis Quadrasynth Plus piano and an Alesis QS6.1 synths. I really enjoyed them. We need to see more products from Alesis. They did some quite impressive synths like the Andromeda. Good review on this new digital piano.🙂👍🎹
I own a QuadraSynth Plus Piano and am thinking of getting a QS6.1 because there's one for cheap around here. I truly love the pad and synth sounds you can get out of the QS4+, and the QS6.1 has some awesome sounds as well. I legitimately think Alesis could re-release the Fusion today with more modern and faster hardware, and it would still be able to compete with other workstations currently out; besides, they're sleeping big time by not releasing some VST plugins based on the MidiVerb, Quadraverb and 363X line of compressors.
Hi. I have a question which model will be better Roland FP 30X or Alesis Prestige Artist.
I mainly mean the timbre and realism of sounds and the realism of the keyboard feel.

Your rendition of "La Negra Tomasa" at the beginning of the video was very nice....
I bought one, and I love it. The hammer-action is awesome. Beautiful design. Very easy access to all features. Great sounds, and the layering makes it sound very beautfiul. The speakers could have been a little louder, as I have to turn the volume to maximum. But with headphones it sounds great.
Great value at a very decent price.

Guess it's a better beginner keyboard than I had growing up. Now it's just a Roland A-88 MKII for piano feel with tons of software with a Moog subsequent 37 on top. Use to have a room full of synths but don't see the need for it any more. But, - The WANT is still there LOL
I played one of these and really liked it. Great keyboard for the money. Only thing I didn't like was the Rhodes - it sustained too much.
Best moment: 01:26 lol... Hmmm not the Alesis of my dreams... But if one day you can test the A6 Andromeda... Ma maahhh..... You know how fool you could be playing with that thing! ^_^

Hello, sir, I am wanting to buy a piano like this, but I am wondering with all the cables sticking from the back, is it possible to place it against a wall? I think all digital pianos will have that problem...
I'm seeing a comeback. I have the Alesis DG-8 with all the Q-Cards and this keyboard seems to have the essential sounds at a much better price point than when I purchased mine. (Circa 1997)

I have the same setup, but for some reason, I was not able to find the AHB-1 in the US. I had to order it from Germany. I love it!

I just bought the Alesis Prestige Artist and the pedal unit. I was able to find a used one at a great price in excellent condition. This video helped me decide.

Oh, didn't know Alesis was still a thing. How I used to drool over all the Alesis synths and reverbs and who knows what in the 90's Keyboard Magazines
They made decent drums machines too. I remember those mags from the early 90s. Looking at all the gear I couldn’t afford 😂
I bought an Alesis reverb way back in the 90s from a great shop called A1 I think on Oxford road, Manchester. I bought it to add reverb to one of the audio channels on my Amiga computer. I eventually passed it on to a great singer of a band in the 00s. I'm assuming she still uses it.
Still remember chatting to one of the staff at A1 music about the security in the shop. They told me that someone once tried to pinch a mixer by putting it down their pants - WTF.
What on earth do you think are the chances of getting away with that?

Hi Claudio. You have a great collection of keyboards and synthesizers. I started watching your videos the last few months. I am impressed by your collection and your skills playing them all. What I haven't seen is a Korg product in your collection. Is there a reason for that? I too have a number of syths. I am still in the learning phase of playing them. What do you think of the Korg Kronos 2?

You don't happen to be able to comment on the realism of key action feel on this vs. the Casio ones like CDP-S110, eh? Looking for a portable budget one that's not too crappy, Casio is nicely light, but I heard claims of its "scaled hammer" feeling artificial vs. what Yamaha calls "graded hammer" action - and this Alesis thing also calls its "graded" action, but ... may just be a name I guess...
I’m strongly considering the Prestige Artist, but will have to sit atop an existing sofa table with a 1/2-inch thick glass top. The top is 44 inches wide. Would you be able to tell me how far from the left and right edge are the feet pads under the unit? Because if my math is correct, the keyboard will hang over the left and right edges about 4 inches. If those feet pads are, say 5 inches from the left and right edges, I can make that work. Thanks for your help, or anybody who can let me know. Fun video!

Flagging this for later since I own one of these and love your videos. The Alesis is my my first 88 key keyboard. Primarily use it to play apps on iOS and it’s great. Only issue is it’ll freeze if you don’t turn on your Alesis before turning on on or connecting your MIDI hub.
had a QS7 for 25 yrs? just sold last fall, needed money, I miss it but there are other synths I would like, D50, D70 again 😎👍

Hello ! Since you appears to be a midi freak ( in a good way ) can you show or test this Alesis connected to a pc working. Is it difficult to setup?

I noticed the arp does send in midi wander if they are gonna fix that otherwise this is a great midi controller and back up piano
Nice video. In my opinion the sound of this alesis piano is just horrible. Maybe it should be used as a midi keyboard only.

Well I have a CDP-120 & the keys bounce TWICE upon release which limits enjoyment. Looks like this is a lot more solid, yet seemingly for a similar price.

I still live in hope of a good upright sound. In view of the zillions of Beatles fans around the world the omission of a decent Mrs Mills on digital pianos is baffling. Ob-La-Duh! 😎

Hey uncle Mick. Have you ever tried out the Yamaha cp88 stage piano? It has quite a nice upright sound included in the piano module. They keep upgrading the software so you never know what's coming along next! I'm glad it doesn't sound like massive old upright grand that mum started teaching me piano on back in the 60s! It definitely needed work! Yes it was one of those old jobs that had previously been adorned with candle holders on the front and just about needed a container rig to shift it!
@@nigelmitcherson9225 hiya, thanks for the suggestion. I must try it out. Some songs just sound wrong on a grand. Bowie and others used uprights. They remind me of the pianos we had at school but probably without the mouldy sandwiches down the back! 😀
