Here in the Philippines we bought 50 meters of 3/4 black water pipe,reeled it up using wire,put it on the roof for hot water..Because its piping hot in the day we bought a mixer tap and hooked up the cold and hot to that..Works like a dream!
Great ideas. The on and off rain sure has made progress difficult for us as well. We’ll be moving up there and starting our off grid build in the next couple of months. So looking forward to being on our block full time and not having to drive up from Brisbane for an occasional weekend. See you around Gin Gin!

Our smarttek unit has been great! 😃 We have had it nearly 2 years as a full time hot water supply. Simple and being a Brisbane based company it's easy to speak with an actual person if you have any issues 😂 The bathroom is doing its job very well, we run a full size washing machine now and are looking into getting a composting toilet. But we will run everyone through the current setup in full in the next video 😁😁🙏🙏

If you want it to feel cooler in the heat, paint your roof(s) white. It’ll reflect sunlight like you wouldn’t believe. Don’t paint everything white unless you want to wear sunglasses the rest of your life.

Consider adding a simple locking pin/bar/bolt or similar to the bracket, so that it can't be accidentally knocked off the rail once it is in place.
