I hate having to see horses with that awful under the bottom lip strap. When the rider yanks on the reins, the tender bottom lip is crushed between the teeth and the strap. No wonder they froth at the mouth.
San Mat please educate yourself. Firstly, that isn’t the action a flash strap causes (though I’m not a huge fan of them, that’s not their action at all). Secondly, frothing is caused by engagement of the poll and collection. Frothing is a good thing, and actually heightens the sensitivity of the horses mouth. More sensitive, lighter aids. Do your research.
