Lots of excitement back in Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming! You boys really get around! Loved the family video portion of the little girls enjoying themselves on their trip! Bet you'll be getting rain soon but sad that it probably will come too late for some of the crops! The music was so dramatic when doing your cutting! Just beautiful work!
When the crop is cut, it's laid out wide for maximum exposure to dry. He's raking two or more windrows together to minimize trips with the baler. Most balers work better with heavier windrows .
It also helps fluff up the hay so it's easier for the baler to pick up and make a good bale. And in some scenarios it flips up the bottom of the windrow that can still be wet on the ground and puts on top to dry out evenly
@@nathanpeterson371 Most of the raking I did back home was just to turn alfalfa to get it to dry quicker. All we made back then was small rectangle bales.
