I remember when Sakura Tribe Elder said "Deal 1 Damage to target attacking creature without trample, that creature deals no combat damage this turn, search your deck for a land card and put it into play tapped"

I wish they would just get a judge in for their games so they could avoid the misplays like with orim's thunder especially since they're a point of entry for a lot of new players
Steven used his unmake to exile the rys thinking it would fizzle the orim's thunder but orim's thunder had 2 targets because it was kicked meaning it wouldn't fizzle and still kill Steven's teysa
Could not of targeted the creature with shroud on it as the casting targets, even if he did a reply on the stack the first spell ont he stack was an invalid target.

Someone in the YT comments last week pointed out Jon had a long search, and it looks like they missed it. Without that adjustment, I count: Jeremy 24+(2+1)=27 Justin 22+(4)=26 Jon 23+(1)=24 (-1?) Stephen 20+(3+1)=24
I just want Jeremy to win another season. He gets singled out most often while the tricksy player at the table gets allowed to do whatever he wants for like 6 turns in a row, then wins out of nowhere. Jeremy hits for like 4 damage on turn 5, or ramps, like always, and suddenly it's pick on Jeremy time. It gets old. I'm very much appreciating the more aggro Jeremy we've seen this season.
I dont think Jon played this that well. Theres an element of knowing your opponents so maybe he just was confident it didnt matter but ultimately it seemed like he continued to attract ire for no reason. Had Jon established his board more and not randomly target Stephens stuff then I feel this game would of turned out quite different.
John only dies (for having 0 or less life) once State-Based Actions are checked. Which were only checked after the spell has finished resolving. So while it resolves John is still alive, so his no life gain effect is still in play, hence no life was gained. Hope that helps explain things
Why did everyone halve their life totals during each upkeep? Havoc Festival says "At the beginning of each player's upkeep, that player loses half their life, rounded up."
Deck building restriction. No board wipes, no single target removal, no ramp, no sacrifice effects. Just a fair, bare knuckle, creatures and creature centered effects, brawl.
Honestly pretty annoying how little Stephen cares to even try and win. The turn he kills Jeremy, he unnecessarily enchants Rhys with Pillory of the Sleepless just go be cocky when he could have used it in the last couple of turns on Justin's creature, not to mention his discarding of Sin Collector after it came in. Put someone on the show who actually tries
Wouldn't Stephen gain life from debt to the deathless? The card is separated by periods so it should be one effect then the other. So it should be: life is lost, Jonathan dies; then, he gains life because all of Jonathan's permanents are gone.
Because Debt to the Deathless has a period Stephen would have gained all of that life because Jon would have been dead before that part resolved. So his life total would have been 52...
It doesn't work that way. Jon doesn't die until the spell finishes resolving. The game doesn't check for state-based effects and noone gains priority in the middle of a spell resolving.
I think these guys gotta work on their shuffling skills. They get the cards they showcase from their deck at the start way too frequently/early to be shuffling them in adequately.

He gained 1 life using his card, then took 2 damage from Obzedat coming in.
He went from 2 to 3 to 1. The visual just fast tracked it.

Nobody halved their lives besides Stephen, you probably just overlooked Stephen playing Debt to the Debtless because of how quickly they resolved it.
