    respect as always sir !!!
S1000/S1100 workflow is very similiar to 3000XL. alot of ppl prefer the sound of the converters on the 1000, myself included. Sampling hot into that thing gives you a really nice crust on samples

@@ghal3on Nice one thanks for the info Ghaleon!! I don't mind the workflow on the s3k :) but I'm dying for an s1k haha.

Sweet!!!!!!!! Atari sounding tight! Makes me wanna get one.
Yeah, akai tried their best to hide the grit behind the iconic filter on the 900/950. You'd have to mod it really make it ring. The S1000/1100 isn't gonna be the best choice either if you're after this sound. Ensoniq eps(16) might be worth a try. Those also get very gritty when you pitch down a few octaves =)

Honestly you should grab one Corri!! They are just fun, and significantly cheaper than Amigas. Cubase is a chore to edit on tho but notator might be better!
Thanks for the tip off about the EPS I'll have a look as I've not gone the ensoniq route yet (although I do have a mirage). I'm hoping the EPS16 has the same amount of memory as an s1k cause I run out of room so fast as is

@@quaad_heavy_sounds Have seen ataris ranging from 150 to 300. A500s are in the same ballpark while 1200s are out of reach. Might consider it.
One thing to note about the EPSs is that I found they aren't as tight timingwise. I mean it's not terrible like the S-330 for example... but I'd rather pair them up with an akai on drums. Cheers!!!

Look up the Filter Defeat Mod for the S900. It allows for disabling of the anti aliasing filte, so it's less filtered sounding and more alias-y. I wish it existed for the S1000, because that has the same issue when resampling, which is really annoying when you want to resample for memory purposes. I think the S1000 sounds incredible pitched down though, it's more the resampling I don't care for the sound of.

Yo sick! I forgot about that mod! I haven't resampled on the 900 yet, but im assuming what you're saying is it sounds the same as pitching down? If that mod clears that up for both I might have to get that done then!

Great one. All sounds come from s900? Dou you have sounds processed within the sampler, like saturation or distortion?

Thanks!! Yep all samples are on the s900!And nah there's no fx on board s900/s950 afaik just the filter! I am using and midiverb iii and a zoom studio for spatial fx in this tune and I also have a 3630 on 2 of my group inserts on my mixer but I didn't use it for this tune.
