Congrats on your engagement! Thanks for the video. I'm going to do the air dry method. How long does it take? The microwave, oven and dehydrator use heat, and therefore destroy nutrients.
for the best flavor you should leave them whole until using in an airtight container out of the sunlight. But... we dont have that kind of space, so we chop or grind to suit the herb and put in Mason jars, lids tight, out of the sun. Dark is best, but again you got to do what you got to do so I built a spice rack that hangs on the wall with the lids facing out.
Depends on ur area id say. If theres alot of construction or dust, or if ur herbs are pretty dirty give em a wash id say. If youre worried about the water being present maybe you could just let them rest in the sun after and let them remove some of the water
Wait, so I can just take the nice organic herbs I bought and literally leave them out on the counter until they're finished drying?! I would have figured they'd oxidize and thus spoil too much that way... I'm looking to dry some before I use my Nutribullet to make powder.
Thank you for making that useful, quick and to the point!! Kudos!
THANK YOU!! So informative yet short and to the point... Congrats on your engagement!! ❤🎉

Very helpful
Thanks for the info,
Once dry should they be in the fridge or ok to store in cabinet?
Im assuming they would be best in dry/low moisture area. So pantry would be best
How about using a dehumidifier?
So is any way better than another for keeping the most flavor? I think you said for nutrients, do the over. But flavor?
I think ive heard freeze drying can do that?
THANKS!
Thank you
Or pop in a paper bag then into a cupboard for a few weeks
Silly question: do you wash the herb before drying? Anyone can answer. Thanks

Is it normal that my basil turned brown when I put it in the oven? Is it because there was still a little bit of water on the leaves?
Possibly ur oven got too hot.
❤thank you
How about air fryer drying?
