So basically I've been making soap for over 5 years and I'm just now getting around to filming a studio tour, but I finally did it. Please don't judge me on how shaky my filming was, lol! I'm not pro at all and you don't know how many times the perfectionist in me screamed for me to film it over, but it was now or never. I do hope you enjoy and thanks for hanging out to watch!

Moving to a much larger soap studio this week.....I've outgrown 3 areas in 2 years. Love your tour. Need to make my family watch so they can quit complaining that I buy to many fragrances 💕💕💕

And I seriously thought I might have been the only soap maker in a relationship with my fragrance/essential oil collection. 😂 I am so glad I’m not alone 😂. And it’s so ironic, I use the same exact companies you mostly do! I love them too! I just adore your shop! I just recently had mine delivered and my husband just built out the inside for me to expand into and I (my soaping and candle supplies) got kicked out of the house! 😂 so I’ll have my tour up really soon. I’m so excited for your shop though. It’s just so much fun seeing how others operate similar to us soapy family.

Your husband obviously loves you more than mine. He put me in the basement with a slab of plywood, saw horses and a plastic tablecloth from Christmas Tree Shop. I do have lots of shelves, a stove and a fridge down there too. My highlight was the big buddy heater he bought to keep me warm LOL.

Thank you for sharing this! I moved my operation from my kitchen tp my daughter’s old room. My husband was more than happy to help me get cabinets and a countertop for a workspace. He got the kitchen back, and I no longer have to cover everything because lye in the kitchen makes me a little nuts, lol. Plus he got his kitchen back. Your studio makes my little room feel tiny. Ultimately, I want to get plumbing in my old photo studio and take the whole thing out there. Your space rocks! 😍

Hi love! How wonderful that your Son and Daughter-in-law have children's books! I live in Sterling Heights, so Taylor is almost an hour away. I don't get there much, but it would be lovely to run into them one day!
Girl you better use that body cream and stop playin 😄. You should be very proud of your soap studio. I wish I had all that space. I live in a small apartment so most of my soaping things are confined to one little area in my foyer. Hoping to change that soon.

You have a great space Kenney! I work out of my teacher's studio, so I have no control over the setup at all. Working slowly toward getting a very small corner of my apartment set up for making soap, but it's a challenge in a mere 180 square feet!

What a lovely big space you have! I am working on turning a garden shed into my soap studio. I am confused as to how to arrange it though because it isn't that big of a space. About 10' by 10'. Right now I have a counter the length of one wall, which I like but it is going to be hard to fit in lots of shelving etc. I just got an apartment sized vintage stove for in there though so that is one good thing. Next will be getting it insulated and some walls up! Thanks for the inspiration.

I used that epoxy paint on my floor and EO of orange being in a cleaner made it peel. It could of had some sort of sealant left over but just as an fyi to save you time. Thanks for the video!

Just got two wire shelves.. currently organizing all my Micas, ingredients, Fragrance, and shipping supplies 😳🥵
I showed this to my daughter just ur micas and fragrance oils and she looked at me n said “ Holy shit we r never complaining about u again. I have 1 1/2 racks on micas and 2 racks of fragrance oil’s n there not full one is winter fragrances and the other is spring n summer. And they think I’m crazy and they think I’m crazy . My husband is color blind so he see’s 15 purples and thinks I have 15 of the exact same color lol it’s funny cause he really thinks all the purples n pinks n yellows n oranges n so on he think that all the purples r the same color purple and all the pinks r exactly the same color pink n all the yellow r the same yellow color. He can’t distinguish the different shades in the same color family and light greens n light yellow he sees as yellow. So now they won’t think I’m crazy lol so thank u!

Do you use your Kitchen Aide blender for mixing your cp soap? Your studio is amazing!!
I use the kitchenaid stand mixer for bath bomb and sugar scrubs. I do have two kitchenaid stick blenders, but wouldn't recommend buying them because the plastic shaft cover always breaks on mine. Yes you do have a bit of a fragrance problem LOL and it’s funny as hell that you call them aisles , you have so much they actually have aisles.
i have a similar set up in the basement but im having a hard time keeping the temperature regulated. i have a dehumidifier but the heat is making things sweat. any suggestions on what could help. i love how open your basement is.
Hmmm, since you're already using a dehumidifier, it's hard to say. Are you continuously running it? Or try changing you humidity percentage if you able on your dehumidifier to the lowest percent. Mine is set at 20%, which is the lowest it'll go. My basement is always super, super cold, that's my battle, lol!

Thank you Kenny for your video of your of your studio. It must take you forever to do your yearly inventory for your taxes. I don’t have half the inventory and it took me 3 full days to get mine done. Does your bookkeeper make you do a complete inventory the first of every year? Mine does but other soapers tell me they don’t have to. I also live in Michigan so I wondered if you do? Thank you so much my soaping sister.
Do you make SALT BARS?? I've tried 5 plus times. IDK what goes wrong. I do the superfat with each recipe& every recipe I have tried it ALWAYS FAILS. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I do make salt bars, My darling soapy sis Holly from Missouri river has a great recipe. I used hers as a guide, then tweaked it until it was similar to my recipe. She is a great resource for loads of recipes.
