VW Passat/Touran/Sharan/Audi A4 License Plate/Number Plate bulb replacement - How to remove

The early B6 VW Passat had a license plate bulb holder with 2 cross head screws to hold it in place so easy to remove. The design caused corrosion on the tailgate so VW changed it from around 2008. The later design isn't obvious to remove so this shows you how. By using a flat head screwdriver you can slide the bulb carrier to the side which compresses the clip and allows it to pop out
