  • Hello,one of my swr meters must go,but which one,the kpo digital swr/power meter is so easy to use,i can see all the information with a quick look.The Daiwa, 2019 model,is also a good and easy to use swr and power meter,large display,well light,and probably also more accurate readings,there is a 5% error of margin with both meters,both meters need power to operate,not sure why the Daiwa needs power its analoge.For interested parties filmed with go pro 6. 4k/50 frames per second/wide setting,thanks from 19 Charlie Tango 022 Rotterdam.

      Hi, there's good and bad points, the digital does 2 meter and 70 cm,,,but just 200 watt's,,,it's what equipment you have, 😀, to make the most of the meter,good luck, better buying new,,,let me know how it goes,,73 from Rotterdam

      Hi,I know what you mean, but both meters have plus and negative points, example the digital is easier to read, but the analogue can handle upto 3000 watt's ,thanks from Rotterdam 73.

    I’ve decided on a Daiwa . I have a trusted technician shop that can calibrate them to a Bird meter on his bench . A much cheaper alternative to a Bird meter

      @@Bernard-John Nice Shack, thanks for posting video with long shots of equipment in operation. I'm deciding the PO meter issue now. I see ot of Reviews on Daiwa and they seem about 50-50 good/critical but cannot justify the cost and complication-factor of the Bird meters. I'm tempted top make one. N2EYE, NY City

      @Bernard-John Peak meters that don't require power only use a capacitor for their PEAK circuit , not accurate at all and they never have a PEAK HOLD option.

    So the diawa meters are plastic and not accurate? It’s been my experience with them. I hate spending money and calibrating them properly.

    • @Bernard-John
      @Bernard-John  Рік тому

      Good morning, I brought the Diawa swr - power metre only because its a good size, and easy to see, sold it a while ago, I find the swr-meter in my Icom 7610 and in the amplifier, far more accurate representation of what is happening, but many operators prefer a separate metre, thanks for your comments, 73s from Rotterdam 👍

    Ben, You have posted one of the poorest quality video's I've ever seen that reflects your standards. It's not a standard of video I would want attached to me. You can "learn" by checking camera stability, writing our a rough script, starting with a brief introduction, your narrative that cuts to the chase, displays originality rather than the standard script followed by most youtubers that puts you to sleep. It should be a short length, enjoyable to watch and without major errors which yours is a classic video of how to make the poorest quality video on youtube.
