Thank you for doing the proper testing, this was something I immediately wanted to use when I saw your first video on it as only half a month prior I discovered and IRL video of someone doing this and said it would be fantastic to see in game!
Many thanks, MrSealyP, for taking the time/trouble/work to do this test and share your results with this video. I always enjoy and appreciate your tests (such as this one). They’re interesting and typically prove to be very useful/helpful & informative. Thanks very much for sharing your time & efforts, as always! :-)
Terrific job MrSealyP. Thanks for testing out this Mod as I also had the same question you showed here. Absolutely crazy amound of time and dedication!
Nice a proper test on that can’t wait to see the results from this. (Commenting before watching the video.)( After video) Awesome Do you see that yield isnt affected by the Baler. As far as the 200 bale limit I couldn’t beat it with the stationary Baler either but that’s OK it doesn’t really matter awesome video very informative double thumbs up
Thank you for running this test. One note though. On PS4 to go over the bale limit you need to turn the baler off once you get the vale limit message. If you keep feeding the hopper it will keep making bales even while turned off and this will let you go past the 200 bale limit.
Nice test video, I got 210 bales and stopped as soon as I used auto load trailer can't bale no more, going to Try manually loading. Thanks for the video.
Great test, many thanks Mr SealyP 👌 A tip to make life easy, if you use the multiharvest head’s (modhub) they allow you to cut crop that’s next to grass without the worry of catching the grass and messing things up.
That is exactly what my thinking was too. But your point raises another interesting thought. When new harvesters (or is it headers?) are released, we should also test the amount of crop that they produce. I have never seen anyone of the UA-camrs doing a comparison of crop yield between all different modded harvesters / headers, although that would be an important decider to use it or not… same for mowers, etc…
The test videos are always very useful. A big LIKE for you MrSealyP! I would have been surprised though if there was a difference… In the end, only the forage harvester is what determines the output volume. Whether you put that in a trailer, or you put it in a baler, the amount of chaff that the harvester produces remains exactly the same… one important remark though, recently only I have learned about it: Farmer Cop has very interesting test videos on repair state of the equipment. If you do test, make sure the equipment is always reset at the best repair state, or you will reduce (lots of) output of your harvesters in your 2nd, 3rd, 4th harvest❗️❗️❗️
It is a good tip to get higher yields in the game in general, so thanks for the tip. Because Mr Sealy P loaded a save game right after the first test the equipment is in the same state at the start of both tests. So for this test it doesn't matter.
@@spgv Yes I know, but I remember a video of long time ago, where he tested the different crops, and I am not entirely sure if he did reset at that time as well. I suppose MrSealyP knows, just I never heard him say it that way…
FYI, just tried this thing with the milling machine and a tractor with a 3 point front and back. Worked out fantastic without the adapter. Was just grass, but i have no complaints. Food for thought.
Good testing. NOTE: If you use the Jaguar pickup rear attachment console mod, you can connect ANY trailer. Here is another time saving, advanced farming technique. If a player uses the combi baler, PTO attachment with a grain harvester, you can both straw bale or even alternatively pelletize simultaneously. The same applies by using a forage harvester with pickup to hay pelletize with the Krone Premos 5000. No additional tools needed, but ensure horsepower and torque requirements are greatly exceeded.
Good test 👍 I think people were saying it gets around bail limit because they, like you, were not seeing the bail counter tick over. I have never ever seen the bail counter tick over in any of my playthroughs. I think the bail counter in game is broken somehow or the way the mods are set up they are not reporting created bails to the screen in the menu but still count towards the games limit.
Very interesting testing mr P I was just wondering if it would do clover and the rest or the modder would make it work on everything great work and thanks for your time always enjoy your testing 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I tried this out the other day and used a header for grass and grain crops and I had some trouble. If you pick up different types it can either A) delete values up to about 3000 Or B) move one type into the bale chamber causing the bunker to back up with the second fill type and the whole machine needs to be reset to the store.
Maybe the bales registered when you collected them with autoload trailer. Maybe if you bale over 200 first, then pick up or pick up manually they won't? can't test myself on pc.
When he tested the last bailed that did work he used an auto load trailer to pile them up so probably just doesn’t work. Or should I say does work properly for bale limit.
I would think you wouldn't need the adapter using a regular tractor with say, the milling machine to collect some things for baling with that baler. I wonder if the swath off a corn harvest could be sileaged on its own as well. Need to test these ideas.
Hello mr sealyp. If you want to make chaff with every crop, you need to use the "multi harvest header" mod. As for the 200 bales limit, i'm a little surprised, as i sent you a pm about that a while ago. It works with this baler, you just have to turn it off, it will still make bales even turned off. And as i told you in that pm a while back, you can do the same with other balers, even not modded ones. I already made a video on it for french speaking people, and I was happy to give you the info so you can in turn inform english speaking people. Maybe i wasn't really clear about it in my pm and that's why you never used it, i don't know.
Yeah I do love the bailer, and yeah it's faster to make silage, I also use the Missyb multi fruit silo with bale destroyer if I need to store them and keep the bale counter down, it's great on the map I am playing on as silage is around 850 per bale and I can make around 130,000 per drop oh the class forager has a trailer conector mod not tried it out yet to check if it will connect the baler wirhout using it's own mod
I like this new baler but at the same time you could do the same thing with the lizard stand-alone baler mostly because it will hook up to any forage harvester I think and it doesn't use a PTO
Part that's on the back is missing of the harvester. And then when you look at it it says only 4000 units and it don't come with a front box and it's labeled lizard
Maybe as it was because you collected the bales and somehow the auto load trailer counts them as you collect them it register's. Maybe an even more obvious amount of sitting loose on field won't register until collected?
So if the game isn't registering the bales during baling, would they be ethereal bales until collected and unloaded again? If that's the case, could they be lost if the game was saved and exited before collecting and unloading / or selling them? Also, has anyone on console checked to see what happens if its used while the Anderson dlc is active? Either way, i'm getting this mod.
I’ve used it on console with the Anderson DLC active and not had any problems. Seems like that warning came from Giants testing feedback, as Kastor (the modder) doesn’t have that DLC to test with
All I have to say it is a game breaker not a game changer you put the milling machine in front and you can do straw to so there really not a anything this can't do
Hi MrSealyp & fellow FS console gamers, wondered if anyone here has encountered the same issues I'm having on FS19. For the last couple of months on any map running seasons I find the crops dont get past the planting stage at all, even a year on in game. I've tried different Geo's, deleting all mods including seasons & re-downloading but nothing seems to work. Along with this at midnight the day doesn't seem to progress, for example Early Spring day 1 at midnight would move to day 2, but unless I save, exit & reload the day stays at day1. And finally ( apologies to everyone here - especially MrSealyp for this long message! ) The ground temp doesn't come above 4c, no matter if the air temperature is even above 20c. I'm playing on Xbox Series S, have deleted the game a few times & downloaded fresh copies too but no luck. Anyone else had similar experiences? Thanks everyone
when getting into a disagreement over when to harvest and what produces the most then what you do is say pick a map then both use same equipment other wise its a non argument because i have found maps and harvesters have adjusted settings so if you use a mod and get big numbers before going out and declaring in all the land maker sure its not the mod helping or the map hahahaha i noticed this one day going from one map to another i had huge numbers my first harvest i was so excited then went to the other map used what i had and did not get same numbers like some maps you cant harvest root crops or grass with some mods made for those crops and yet other maps you can so i honestly believe its all in the mods used not harvest time or anything like that
After years (since FS13) of baling, i grew up tired of squishy bales. No more bales in my games now: i use the (wooden) multifruit silo instead.. So, for silaging corn, i settled with the excellent mod forage harvester chäfer. A huge beast with it's own grain tank. I suspected foul play, so snooped around the net and, there indeed exists such a vehicle, the modded one is very detailed and resembles the real life one. So, no cheap cheats there. So far, the best maize chaffer there is. Compared to the vanilla options..well..TOO good, IMO. Excellent test Mrsealyp😃👍. Maybe grass from a silo directly into the baler will allow you to continue to make bales??

You just need to turn the baler off, it will continue making bales as long as you "feed" it
@@pappy_tractor_gaming I did not know that thank you
Thank you for spending your time for us doing this highly sicentific test… thanks again.

@1:35 Prediction, same yeald as silo silage.
Reason: Harvester/forager (or was it header) defines chaff multiplier per crop.
That is exactly what my thinking was too. But your point raises another interesting thought. I did this. Seen the amount of bales so I figured it was pretty close. Thanks !!!

This is why you are the 🤴. Great test vid.
It's easier baling than stacking the bunker!!! I watched real farmers baling chaff , and even then it seemed more sufficient! Great mod!!!!!!!!!!
Great video. Thank you.
did you try using a reg mower and bailer after it stopped letting you bail?
Thank you

Hmm was hoping you would sell them both after to see which way gives more money as silage
Would this baler do wood chips
you deserved a like for all that baling lol
So which ones better
Yeah I do love the bailer, and yeah it's faster to make silage, I also use the Missyb multi fruit silo with bale destroyer if I need to store them and keep the bale counter down, it's great on the map I am playing on as silage is around 850 per bale and I can make around 130,000 per drop oh the class forager has a trailer conector mod not tried it out yet to check if it will connect the baler wirhout using it's own mod

I hit the bale limit at 200, maybe continuing with a different baler would allow more than 200?
Nope. Only allowed 200 bales or the game will crash.
Part that's on the back is missing of the harvester. And then when you look at it it says only 4000 units and it don't come with a front box and it's labeled lizard

I hit the limit before collecting the bales.
I hate compacting bunkers so this baler is perfect for me!
Iv found this baler doesn't register the bales in the counter at all
So if the game isn't registering the bales during baling, would they be ethereal bales until collected and unloaded again? There is a mod forage header that does sunflowers
only problem is if you hire a worker it doesn’t auto unload the bales
Yes I wish they could change it in the update
All we need now is for the baler to be fulled with twain manually!!!!!
All I have to say it is a game breaker not a game changer you put the milling machine in front and you can do straw to so there really not a anything this can't do
I’ve used the baler and I the first time I used it I got up to 208 bales and still no message
I really feel this content could be much more popular if you made this closer to 10 minutes. Aka condense what's happening. Thx.
