Mean while, the brass sections lips are burning both inside AND out! And the oboe and bassoonist are both staining their reed's in capsaicin and when their reed's can cost upwards of $40 bucks or higher for just one Reed, they will probably be feeling that burn again (to a lesser extent) next time they use it XD!

I have got pepper sprayed numerous times and what you learn is that you can still function, although not as well, haha. I love this, it promotes the idea that humans can do stuff, and suffer stuff, especially because the hit can be endured with determination and the idea that you cannot, cannot let your cohorts down. Passing the entrance examination to study at a music school to become a professional musician is insanely difficult. After completing your studies, only the best make it into a national orchestra. It requires immense discipline, pain tolerance, and practising for over a decade. You can see and hear the result:
Which normal person can eat such a chilli and still stay focused and perform? All our respect!

This is why they are professionals in their fields. If you can keep playing to that level of quality, especially a wind instrument... you deserve to be there. Of course, it always helps to have backup, but I think that was spectacularly well done, given the circumstances.
