@Emma Lefebvre I would love to watch a series of you teaching your Mom more and more about watercolor! It would be so inspiring to see her bloom and grow in the medium! She made beautiful art her very first time with you! I hope she will come back often!💜💜💜
Emma, you are so blessed to have your mom! You are precious, and I'm sure it's all because of her!!! She did a great job for never having done watercolor. Those roses of hers were way better than my 1st, 2nd, even 3rd try! Lol! You are so patient. There's nothing better than a mother and daughter being so close and you two are a great inspiration to others! I lost my mom when I was 7, and my step mother last year. Hold these times close to your heart!! ❤️🖌️💜
Best story in the world. One teacher gave your mom the message that she was not an artist. That thought stuck with your mom all of her life. Yet, your mom encouraged your gift, Emma. Beautiful story.
How special that you get to do this with your mom. My moms would have loved watercolor, she painted in acrylics and I ended up with the few paintings she had done. They are a special reminder of my moms many hidden talents. Enjoy the those special moments and make lots of memories.
I had to pause the video to comment I love your momma so much! I would love to be able to paint with my momma, but she passed many years ago! What a special daughter you are to invite your momma to paint on your video with you! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Emma, I love your interaction with your mom! You are such a good listener and were so kind. Brava! Lynn, you are so brave to share this with us! It's not easy to risk failure in front of an audience. I applaud you!
It was so sweet of you to take that time with your mom. I could see the hurt in your expressions when she told you what that 'teacher' told her in grade 1!! That stayed with her all her life. Yet, she still encouraged you and gave you the tools to explore your love of art. That's what a mom does. Treasure your time with her......... and bless you both......
Now that was so nice to watch the two of you together. Emma you've got to buy your Mum some watercolors she did really well. Nice that you had this time together.
It was great to meet/see your Mom (you look a lot like her!). Let her know I appreciated how brave she was to risk being a newbie on line with us. 👍🏻 ...and..... that her cards turned out really great & so did mine!☺️ #readyforVday
Aww....we will never outgrow our Mommies. Cherish these moments and memorize them.....when I lost my mother, that is what sustained me. I sure miss her. Give your mother lots of love 💕...you won’t regret it.
I really enjoyed watching you and your mom...so adorable. Your mom did great! I could see her get more confident when she got to the roses. Now she needs her own set of colors so she can express her artistic self! Do more videos with her✨
OMG--this is the sweetest video I've seen thus far this Valentine's Day, Emma. When your Mom started talking about her "immature" technique that the teacher wrote, It made me tear up. Aww..Glad your Mom found the time to paint with YOU! And I have lots of ideas for cards for my hubs, my friends, sister, etc. These are a GREAT start! Thank you Emma and Mom!
Absolutely lived this with Kennedy, demonstrated how two.prople can do same technique and both get such amazing results and different. Brings home how versatile art is. Loved your guest.
Love that your mother struggled thru it like we do & in the end she had some really cute cards. And loved the gift tags for valentines chocolate, or bottle of wine gift.
I love having little paint parties with my friends who are total "newbies". So these cards will be perfect for a Valentine paint party! Thank you and your mom is so cute and brave to put out her beginner art to show that anyone can do this and make some really pretty cards that anyone would enjoy receiving because of the love that was put into it!
I really appreciate your videos! First of all, I love that you are making this memory with your sweet mom! This made my day as I am painting with you. I lost my mom a year ago in February. The other reason why I really like it, is because it is really neat to see a video that shows someone that’s just learning beside someone that knows what they’re doing, and how the paint and water react together with the paper. It is very helpful to see see how you react to that and the advice you’re giving her! I agree with someone else, you should share some more videos of the two of you together.
So pretty. Y’all are having so much fun, making beautiful cards. I miss my mom so much. We did things together she was my best friend. Mom yours is so pretty too. My kids are all so artistic too, aren’t we so proud of our kids ? That daughter of your ir really great ! Y’all have a wonderful day. 😊😊💕💕
Oh my goodness it was so sweet to watch you making cards with your mom!! You both did a great job and it was wonderful to see the different style that you both have. That is why it is so fun to do crafting and art with other people. Tfs 😁
Great job!! I totally agree that encouragement is all you need. It makes me sad when I hear stories of people who were told at a young age they are not talented, squashing their love of art😞. I was lucky to grow up in a family who were very creative & we never questioned if we re good at it, we just did it & had fun.
I lived the exact experience as your mother. My degree was in education since I wanted to teach. I always wanted to paint but had no talent. I want you and your mother to know how much this video meant to me and I’m sure many other people. Much love to you both. I’m going to paint Valentines cards for my granddaughters.💕
I keep loving your transparency more and more Emma. You look just like your mom. Sweet! Bless her heart to have encouraged you to do art. You are such an encourager to me. Thank you
Loved seeing you paint with your mom💕 Enjoy her always. I recently lost my mom, she was my biggest fan and always encouraged me. Today I sign all my art with her loving nick name for me, in honor of her memory ❤️
I’m a little late to the party, but I just wanted to say how great it was to see you and your mother creating together! Mama Lynn did a fantastic job, btw! Hope to see her again!
Loved this!! I do crafts with my daughter and it’s the best. So thank you for doing that with your mom. As I know she cherished her time with you as I do with my daughter 🥰🥰🥰
My Mom is a famous watercolor artist in Seattle and I am trying to follow in her foot steps. I live in Oregon but we talk everyday and talk about our art. She is 92 years old and still is entering art shows and is active in the Northwest Watercolor Society. As you can probably tell I am very proud of my Mom. It was so fun watching you and your Mom.
What an epic idea to let your mom be a part of your video! You are so blessed to have her and she to have you! Keep loving each other and making art together
Thank you for doing this with Mom.. she did a great job... Mine is somewhere in between but it shows how us beginners learn and I appreciate this because I get frustrated that mine is no where near what yours looks like.. please do more with Mom... Great job both of you 💜
Good on you for giving it a try Mum!! Art is tough when your told it’s not as great as everyone else’s. The day you made this video though, you proved them all wrong and did a fantastic job. You impressed me!
She is so cute and talented....... I wouldn't have known which one was whose....... I love you talents and teaching skills. I bought paints, paper and brushes too!!!! Just because of your encouraging chats.....
That was a great video! It was nice to see your Mum! You both are such beautiful ladies. Love from Russia. 💜 And thank you for teaching me watercolouring, Emma. 💋
Love that your Mom is doing art with you! As Miranda Watson said, I lost my Mom to cancer too, but she's still with me in spirit and my sweet Daughter is just like her! Wonderful video and Happy Valentines Day to both of you a little early. My Mom was a Kindergarten teacher too!🧡
Hi, Emma and Lynn! The video was great. Loved the ideas. I will be making my Mom and husband their Valentines this year. Art just needs a little encouragement, you proved that today!
Love this! Great card ideas. My daughter got me into watercolor about a year ago too and I love it. Never did any art before last year. Your videos have been so helpful. Loved “meeting” your mom!
I'm going to get together with my daughter 😁 and her little daughters. We all love crafts and each have our strengths, so why not get together! Thanks for the tip, Emma! And well done, Lynn, putting yourself out there 😃😘 We're both very blessed grandmas! ❤ I so know the contrasting power of encouragement and crushing discouragement. It's so good to do what we can to let our children develop their talents, even (especially..) if they're different from ours. 👍👍❤💜
Emma, this was an awesome and fun video! I couldn't stop watching! I lost my mom to cancer, but I'm going to grab my grandma and do art with her. It's been a while since we've done that. Thanks for the inspiration!
How sweet it is that you painted with your mom! I struggle so much with flowers too. Every time I paint I pull out my practice book and paint a few practice flowers.
I love that you invited your mother to appear with you. I recently fell in love with my parents all over again, so this video evoked a wellspring of deep, loving emotions to charge through me. Thank you for sharing. The cards are wonderful.
@Emma Lefebvre I would love to watch a series of you teaching your Mom more and more about watercolor! It would be so inspiring to see her bloom and grow in the medium! She made beautiful art her very first time with you! I hope she will come back often!💜💜💜
