Expecting him to play without $1 in guaranteed money is beyond ridiculous. He's one of the best players in the league making half of what he should be.
I liked the JD's tweet at first. But now I'm like "Welcome back to the circus." May not be JD's fault totoally, but I'd actually lay the blame at the top too. I don't think Woody likes paying people. BOTH Hard Knocks have scenes of Woody talking about money. In 2010 it was Revis and Woody said something like "I can wait, I'm patient, you have no idea" before they signed him. Last year, he's standing next to Saleh talking about Q saying "We paid him a lot of money", right after the new deal. Saleh, to his credit says, "He's worth it.". WHY DOESN'T THE OWNER OF THE TEAM UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF PLAYERS LIKE Q & REVIS!! And now Reddick. Woody's really gotta' sell the team. This is SOOOO frustrating.
pretty sad that so few commentators are raising this point, but that's par for the course in the jets-centric mediasphere. the collective IQ here is low double-digits.
Last season Reddick has shown signs that his best days are behind him. Reddick hasn't earned anything with the Jets. He refused to report to camp and now has over $1M in fines. Any future deal has to be based on what Reddick does for the Jets defense.
So a player that literally said he wants and new contract or he not playing, gets traded for by the jets and they hoped he would just change his mind because he’s on the jets???
Everyone can be in denial all they'd like - the Jets have thus far F-ed up with this - bad. They need him and need him badly. The D will be solid but will not get to the level of making a deep playoff run without him. Be flexible and get a deal done asap - providing there's still a chance. Joe D and co have been good - but they're wrong on this. You don't build consistent winners by consistently being a cheapskate. Put the fork down Joe, and make a deal.
The Jets really thought Reddick would want to play for them without a deal, when he refused to do so for Philly? hilarious. can't believe anybody ever thought the Rodgers/Douglas/Saleh era would yield any kind of meaningful success. the geniuses running the show at 1JD would struggle to manage a shift at burger king without burning the place to the ground.
How does the Teflon GM get away with this? Dude is TWENTY NINE games UNDER .500 How do you give him any benefit of the doubt? How would this moron think he was gonna get this guy to play on this deal, when he knows Philly wanted him out and was not giving him a deal.
JD putting his whole job on a superstar WD season to save his ass is why he’s terrible at his job. Jets will forever and always be the laughing stock in all of sports. Nobody will come close to this train wreck. The playoff drought going to hit 20-25+ years I would think then maybe the Johnson’s will sell or get out of football
Huff didn’t want to re-sign with the Jets, He didn't want to play in a rotation. HE WANTED TO LEAVE!! He wanted to be a 3 down player.
Yeah exactly. I’m not exactly sure why all these content creators can’t understand that
The new Eagles DC has said Huff isn't a three down player.
@@harlanabraham7772he did not say that stop lying ? He said he doesn’t have to be but they will strive to make him one
@@Rockydenzel You just don't know what is out there. Hope you read a lot. I know I do.
He did say that. I was there

You cant make decisions such as trading for a guy with a verbal agreement. It's malpractice and irresponsible. This is pathetic

The Jets had a verbal agreement with Reddick prior to the trade which is terrible business strategy on the jets part
DO NOT drag Woody into this. It's not his business and he'll only make things worse.
Foundational piece? Built the defense around him? Come on guys
How do you give Woody 40% of the blame?
This is undoubtedly 100% the fault of one of the sides -- we just don't know which side that is
100 percent Reddick. He signed a contract.
Clueless

JD terrible at his job. Missed on QB and LT and somehow still has a job. Not signing homegrown guy in huff, guy is a idiot

I don't think this is one of your best episodes. You guys don't sound confident or knowledgeable.
