Watching your videos is a bright spot in my day! Unfortunately there are people in this world that never learned "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". Don't let those people get you down... you are an amazing young lady with loads of talent and I enjoy learning about your sport. I once jumped a 1.20 fence because I had an amazing trainer who built up my confidence. That was the most exhilarating feeling ever! I relive that moment every time I watch you ride!

First of all. I have been wondering about Khal. But wondering and making your life crazy are two different things. I appreciate any and all information you give. I think all of your plans make a lot of sense. It must be very hard to sell a gelding you love but the truth is they are geldings and can't be part of a breeding program. I adore them all and I am thrilled that you are going to be able to ride Khal. That Dali is so flipping awesome and is on the precipice of being a star, makes me incredibly happy. I love all the babies but oddly enough am very excited about Delphi. I think it will be very cool to watch a non-homebred thrive with Holly on the reins! Each foal has so much potential and thanks to your careful breeding and training, they will grow up to be the best they can be. With Fiona's proven track record, NOT using recipient mares would be foolish. I too am hopeful for a Fiona filly! The social media thing is a double edged sword. Sharing what you want to share has helped you get where you are. But it is deeply personal and you really owe no one any information. That being said, those of us who have been following for years are really invested in you, your family and your horses-to the extent you are willing to share. For anyone who has been less than kind regarding your choices with Khal, I will never understand that type of behavior. Your choices are your choice and while someone might not "like" what you choose, no one has any right to demand or belittle you on your choices. The only time I would feel justified in saying something would be if there was abuse going on. We all know you will always do what is in the best interest of the horse. You would never sell Khal or Dali to anyone who wasn't a good person. But in the end, it is the sale of your beautifully produced geldings that will keep your breeding dream alive. You should take immense pride in giving these wonderful horses an amazing start in life and preparing them for the big world. And of course you are a vet, doing your part to keep horses safe and healthy and it is your career. But crazily enough you have two careers! Breeding and producing lovely horses and keeping them healthy too. So thank you for the updates. Shrug off the haters. Keep being Holly~love from an old horsewoman in the States!

So I didn’t noticed the Khal mean comments. I’m glad you didn’t quit thought. Khal is phenomenal and I’m very happy you found a good situation for you to keep riding him :) while we don’t know how Welbeck’s foals will be, you said it quite well, Fiona is a proven broodmare and I really hope you have your Fiona filly in 2026!

I think that non-horse people don't understand is the expense of owning competition horses. Vet bills, (even if you are a vet), entry fees, tack, feed, barn upkeep, the expense of staying onsite at competitions including your food, etc. So with the number of youngsters you have plus the expenses, it's no wonder you have to sell some horses. It's a practicality. Good luck in the coming year.
What a great video and so well explained. It is hard when you are invested in someone´s journey as you are curious about what´s going on, but I would never be bolshy and ´demand´ explanations from anyone, as respect for peoples´ limits and privacy should be first and foremost as far as I am concerned. I found all this process fascinating, and am so looking forward to seeing the second red brigade of chestnuts progress, after enjoying the first red brigade of bay boys. Wellbeck was such an exciting mare to watch when jumping, so I hope that her offspring take after her. Sooo excited about future videos!

I'm considering attending an international show in Europe myself, but I'm not sure if I can afford it. It would really help to know more about the costs before I decide.

Ouhhhh this is such an interesting update!! If I’m honest, I haven’t been a dedicated follower as I have not been watching all videos since I’ve became a mom 16 months ago!! So I didn’t noticed the Khal mean comments. I’m glad you didn’t quit thought. Khal is phenomenal and I’m very happy you found a good situation for you to keep riding him :) while we don’t know how Welbeck’s foals will be, you said it quite well, Fiona is a proven broodmare and I really hope you have your Fiona filly in 2026!

I think that non-horse people don't understand is the expense of owning competition horses. Vet bills, (even if you are a vet), entry fees, tack, feed, barn upkeep, the expense of staying onsite at competitions including your food, etc. So with the number of youngsters you have plus the expenses, it's no wonder you have to sell some horses. It's a practicality. Good luck in the coming year.
What a great video and so well explained. It is hard when you are invested in someone´s journey as you are curious about what´s going on, but I would never be bolshy and ´demand´ explanations from anyone, as respect for peoples´ limits and privacy should be first and foremost as far as I am concerned. I found all this process fascinating, and am so looking forward to seeing the second red brigade of chestnuts progress, after enjoying the first red brigade of bay boys. Wellbeck was such an exciting mare to watch when jumping, so I hope that her offspring take after her. Sooo excited about future videos!

What is wrong with people?? Anyone who has watched your videos for ANY period of time should know that your animals wellbeing is #1 and trust that you’re making the best decisions for them, whether you can share those decisions publicly or not! It’s crazy to me how so called fans can suddenly flip to accusations… your comment sections are typically SO wholesome and supportive. Do better people
