For the record, this is not the way Paul Rennick wanted us to play this exercise. This was probably one of the very last time we played it all summer. He wanted us to play the original "Thirteen" with only the original 7/8 variation continuously with no tap off. We just never got around to fixing it, so we stopped playing it all together.
Its 4 variations with no stops in between... or at least its supposed to be. They stopped for each variation... Also after variation 4 its supposed to reapeat to variation 1 but faster. Also theres a famous 2nd bass tap off thats groovy as fuck. This just isnt the same

Glad to see them playing this again.
I'm glad they brought back Thirteen.

cool tenor echo
Yep
Paul Renncik though he can write incredible books, has no sense of groove whatsoever.
What? The exercise is 13 beats long...maybe that is why is feels a little uncomfortable for you?
Dat tap-off.
I wonder how awkward he could make double beat
Variations and old school I can deal with. Stopping and starting between each run is awful though.
Chris O'Rourke 🤔😤🤔
*times
whhhhaaaattttt !!!!!!! lol
Leave it to Rennick to take one of the grooviest, most classic warmups in DCI and turn it into an awkward, uncomfortable display of whiteness.
