They do but he is the Longines Head Of Product, Giuseppe Miccio. Since he came in Longines is on a role. I'm not Italian but some of the greatest designs have come from Italians, be it cars, sculptures, paintings etc. Bravo Mr Miccio 👏
I bought this watch partially based on your excellent review. I can honestly say that this is a fantastic timepiece. Wears like a dream, very present and masculine. The blue version, that I got, is just stunning. Thank you for a great video.
Strange to say but what im most excited about is the new clasp! Hopefully they'll be updating the Standard Hydroconquest soon with the revisions made to this one.
Bruce hits another home run and he is 100% right - this is the best 'do-it-all' sports watch today. Alternatively, if you do not want the GMT function take a look at the Longines Ultra-Chron. With it's sapphire bezel and high-beat movement - It's a stunner of a watch.
I much prefer this new Hydroconquest model. The only change I might have made was to swap the positions of the date window at 3 and round marker at the 6. Would have maintained the overall symmetry much better. That being said, my first TAG Heuer diver from the mid-90s had the same dial setup and I enjoyed yhat for over 12 years.
I brought one today, Green Dial. It is half the price of Omega Seamaster, 1/4 the price of Rolex Submarina, but I felt that they are the same level of functionality plus it gave you the GMT. I just can't resist. Hence , I am the owner of Longines Zulu Time. It fact they are no contradiction. They are not the same function. Thank you for your video.
Thanks Bruce for the review! In your viewpoint - at this price is Longines now a Tudor equivalent? Your statement of “Knocking at Omega’s door” - that would suggest it is similar to that of Tudor? Tudor is obviously below Omega and it’s older sibling Rolex, so I’m curious if you view Longines as an equal due to their revamped lineup and associated price point/hierarchy in the Swatch group. Is it an apt comparison to state that quality wise Longines is to Omega what Tudor is to Rolex? Please share your thoughts!
I think that would be a great topic video. Short answer for me- I place Tudor and Omega on the same level. Some Longines models are knocking on both Tudor and Longines doors. Because Longines and Omega are both Swatch brands, that is the reason why I mentioned Omega in this video, as opposed to others in that price tier
As a happy owner of the Longines Spirit Zulu Time (which was my first Longines), I would agree with most of your review of this excellent Hydro GMT. I feel Longines brings such an incredible watch to market at a very competitive price. One thing I wish is that Longines would combine and then standardize certain design aspects, especially in their bracelets. Quick adjust from this new bracelet, coupled with the quick release system of the Spirit Zulu. Give similar/same link and finishing. This would be a winner for their Sports lines, IMO. THANKS!
I’ve got 2 of the previous versions blue and two tone grey and gold and they are both excellent, this new one is brilliant …… think I’ll be getting the green one this time 🍾
I will order the brown one with a bracelet, my question is, how do I know which other straps fits? Do all straps on Longines homepage fits? Or do I have to check some sizes? Is it only for 21 mm because I think most straps are 20 mm. I am really confused xi want to have a nate and a rubber band extra. Thanks for your help
Great video Bruce! Thank you for the quality content! I’m very interested in the green variant. Also, are the links held in by split pin or pin and collar? If pin and collar, is it like seiko style or zodiac style? Thanks again my friend.
Great vid and review Bruce. How would you compare this new Hydroconquest against the Spirit Zulu Time? Would love to see a comparison video, as well as one comparing the new Conquest and and Spirit.
I’ve noticed that the GMT hand jumps when you move the hour hand backwards. Not a sign of a tight precise movement. I hate that when I see it in a quartz Seiko or Citizen. Never seen that on my Hydroconquest. It’s silky smooth. Not sure if it’s because it’s a gmt movt. But either way it doesn’t look good.
I know the video you did on the Monta was in the beginning of the year but, do you feel like the fit and finish was better on the longines or on the Monta?
@theloniousmonkiv5982 I'd give the edge to Monta for finish. Pretty close though. Fit would be a tie to me. Both exceptionally comfortable and sit flat
@@BruceWilliams thanks for the info, I ended up grabbing an opaline skyquest at wind up nyc… now comes the hard part, sneaking it into my watch box and convincing my girl it’s my same old Pepsi turtle with mods. 😂😅 Would love to see a video in the future of one of montas watches in a head2head with a Tudor or longines…. Or both lol. Thanks again for the content!
I love my new blue GMT. the clasp is a like a VOLT. its not going anywhere. Overkill perhaps but it's badass... It is a very "pretty" luxury watch. Like a rolex sub. Everyone at a short distance thinks it's a rolex but I just play it off. Pairs great with the navy blue scrubs. I can pretend to appear like a physician. LOL.
It does looks very nice! By the way, have myself a 2016 Hydroconquest chronograph with engraved back case and man it sctrachs a bit into your skin plus the lack of half links it’s a not cool thing all that said it still keeps hard watch wear it a lot now I’ve got other brands my new one it’s the Pelagos LHD not the titanium love it like chunky watches 😊
This might be my next watch or the loengines chronograph. Has Bruce ever reviewed ginault OR2 or Silent Service watches on the channel before? If not I'm curious why.
These are nice but both this hydrocoquest and conquest they rose prices by 1000 from around 2k to 3k. That's in Tudor territory. Is this worth it? Their bracelets are not the best and no micro adjustment. Also why is there only a gmt model.
Still prefer Spirit Zulu Time 39mm. This one look too resemble with Rolex GMT Master 2 or other main stream models. Spirit series stand on its own design style & looking great as well.
I like the watch a lot, but I think calling it "value rich" when they've just about doubled the price for the addition of a gmt hand and microadjust is a stretch. If this had an msrp of $2000, it would be perfect. On a side note, has anybody experienced issues with their bracelet pins? I see people complain about them being on GS (where they are necessary due to titanium links), but never seen anybody mention them when talking about longines.
Ive been a fan of Longines for years amd they have always almost got it right but never fully right. The 2 round matkers make it look like they ran short on the rectangle ones. Hand set is lacking lume. 'Take an iwc aqautimwr or the Blancpain fifty fathoms' as examples. 186 grams is going to chopnyour wrist off. Maybe time for a titanium. Come on Longines. Chinese microbrands like Helm are getting it right and some huge swiss companies just cant. Oh please!!
Longines is killing it with their new releases. It’s like they got a new head of design with a plan.
They do but he is the Longines Head Of Product, Giuseppe Miccio. Since he came in Longines is on a role.

It's so true
100%
lol ya
It does look nice. AND it's a GMT with a 0-60 minute bezel.. really like the versatility. Not to mention the taper..
A buddy of mine picked up the brown one... It looks great in pictures and even better in person.
I can't wait to see that one in person!
I bought this watch partially based on your excellent review. I can honestly say that this is a fantastic timepiece. Wears like a dream, very present and masculine. The blue version, that I got, is just stunning. Thank you for a great video.
Longines is punching way above its weight. What a value proposition that new model is. Might pick one up soon thanks to this review.

Ultra Chron is awesome as well. Love the high beat
Great Improvement from the previous model. Hopefully it won't be too long until the 3 hander is released.
Great video. Just the review I was looking for
The new releases from longines look quite good
I much prefer this new Hydroconquest model. The only change I might have made was to swap the positions of the date window at 3 and round marker at the 6. Yea Longines have greatly improved this model as they did with the Conquest imo. Both top in their sector for me.
Gr8 review and I would agree a good contender for best sub3k GMT out there. Thx again for the share!

I have a rolex sub no date, this longinnes is the watch I want, a gmt diver. So I bought one.
Longines has become the shining star from the Swatch group (Best value for your $). Hit after hit. Even better than Omega.
I own the blue dial one, a real high quality watch. Accurate to 1 second a day - well within cosc. The bracelet is very good.
A very strong release from Longines 👍
Nice, I hope Longines release a non GMT version.
A non gmt around 2.500 euros🤞
This is REAL BEAUTY!!
We can’t wait to see you review the new conquest Chrono 42mm
Love the hydroconquest GMT black bezel green dial
Thank you Bruce!
Great watch!
Love the look and well priced
Thanks Bruce for the review!

Longines is really improving the design of their watches. Odd lug widths like 19mm or in this case, 21mm is just so annoying though!
They fixed the end links sticking out and not flush in case !
Just waiting for 39mm version to be released, I don't mind normal version or gmt. Probably next year but hopefully sooner than later 🙏
I'd probably go for the new version of the monta oceanking over this one. Not a gmt but very nice
I was looking at that one and I’m excited to see reviews of the new Monta Oceanking 🤩
Yes

Agreed, Longines has been on a roll!
With both being in the same price bracket, you must really love the Tudor Black Bay design to pick that one over this new Hydroconquest GMT.
I have a Tudor BB41 burgundy, and even that has a backplay on the bezel
miss those numericals and what's with the circles at 6 and 9
Nothing beats that gold Rolex on your wrist.
True that
They need to put this clasp on the spirit zulu time bracelet and use the spirit zulu time chronometer movement in this diver.
A winner!!! PS: I'd go for the classic black with orange accents.
This one or Longines UltraChron? :)
I’ve got 2 of the previous versions blue and two tone grey and gold and they are both excellent, this new one is brilliant …… think I’ll be getting the green one this time 🍾
How’s the accuracy. Loss of seconds per day?
Nice day date!
Are they releasing a three hand new version of this Hydroconquest?
what is your wrist size? would it fit on a 6.5 wrist?
I will order the brown one with a bracelet, my question is, how do I know which other straps fits? Do all straps on Longines homepage fits? Or do I have to check some sizes? Is it only for 21 mm because I think most straps are 20 mm. I am really confused xi want to have a nate and a rubber band extra. Thanks for your help
Can you please tell your wrist size in order to estimate the fit. Thank you
Nice piece. Need it in titanium

so nice release
Looks great.
What type of accuracy out of the watch can we expect?
The random circular plots at 6 and 9 cannot be unseen, for me. So close to perfect. Should've been rectangles or maybe small triangles.
The indices are opposite to the Submariner and based on the vintage Longines Admiral dive watch.
Look great to me
Great vid and review Bruce. How would you compare this new Hydroconquest against the Spirit Zulu Time? Would love to see a comparison video, as well as one comparing the new Conquest and and Spirit.
The braclet has pins not screws? Did I hear that correctly?
Yes you did. Pins. Just like the Spirit Zulu Time. Big no go for me.
@@richardvanfrank8114 thank you. Same here. Too bad
The hands and indexes look like toys
I hope they release this without the GMT and with a little thinner profile. Instant buy at that point.
and here I bought a BB Pro like a week before this was announced.
Love it !
I can see the second time pointer wiggle a little bit when you do the quick time setting. Will it effect the accuracy?
I have this watch. No problems. The wiggling hand is the minute hand and it settles down once you click the crown in.
@@BassplayerTCLthank you!

Does the Omega Seamaster have anything on this watch for twice the price? I suppose if you're a big fanboy of the "coaxial escapement."
How does this stack up against the Monta Skyquest? Also, thanks for the vids and content!
Very well! Though the movement in this Longines far outclassed the one in the Monta
I know the video you did on the Monta was in the beginning of the year but, do you feel like the fit and finish was better on the longines or on the Monta?

Сан Мартин есть такой же, только в 10 раз дешевле, но не хуже!
I was thinking that, I wanted to purchase the Tag Heuer Carrera Date 36mm. Do you think it's a good watch for my first luxury watch collection?
We need this in 39 please!!!!🙏
I’ll go a step further. Longines is giving Tudor a run for their money.

This is great 👍
They could have put some bevels on the edges. That slab side looks sharp.
A 38 or 39 mm release of these model in the future would be perfecttion
Datum auf 6 Uhr und es wäre perfekt für mich
Price vs Value right now Longines is at top.
Wish they would do a diver gmt with the spirit line instead and use this bracelet with female endlink and on the fly adjust.

I reviewed the original Ocean rover but took the video down when the controversy surrounding the brand came out a couple years ago
Is this Watch COSC certified?
Odd how this gets a OTF clasp yet they did not put it on the more premium zulu time.
Imagine if Tudor was putting out watches like these.....?
A 39mm in this and boom.....titanium even.
It's just that the quality of the Tudor is ridiculously poor.
Whats the point in having a diver bezel on a gmt watch?
Using it as an elapsed timer as opposed to a 3rd time zone. The watch already has thr 24 hour indexing under the crystal
They need to make this in standard non GMT version.
Longines is going after Tudor!
Whats going on with that dial, rectangle indecies, triangle at 12, date at 3, circles at 6 and 9, diamond on the hour hand, wtf
A style for everyone 😂
does anyone find this watch small for a 9+ wrist?
What about the wobbling of the GMT hand when changing the hour? Advice please anyone. Should I sell my tudor 79220R for this piece (brown)? Thank you.
Direct competitor to Tudor
@@RationalCreed Tudor loses to Longines in every aspect... and they still demand a lot of money for it, which is ridiculous.

Get rid of the silly indices at 6 and 9 or have all the same indices and this watch would rock
your voice is made for watch videos
The indices at 6 and 9 are a big zonk.
Better than TAG AQUARACER 300?
Backplay is not acceptable if you want to compete in this pricerange. Nice design though.
Most divers sub 3k have some degree of backplay
The new monta...is WAY better
I know this is stupid but all I see is an Orient Mako XL
Yup
Look and feel like Rolex😅 Flame-suit on!😂

I will have a Ginault and / or a Monta instead
Design is nice but it’s way too heavy for me . Should not be more than 130-140 grams to be comfortable for everyday wear on a bracelet .
Prefer this gmt version as it has nicer crown guards why the non gmt version has those ugly angular crown guards I have no idea!
