Hi gents! There is an interesting story behind "Black Hole". According to Akane, Kanami asked her how fast she could drum. Akane said around 190 bpm. Then Kanami went off and wrote "Black Hole" that peaks at 220 bpm! So Akane goes and writes the drum patterns for the track. She wrote 7, for the band to choose which one. She labelled them: 1. Easy 2. Comfortable 3. Normal 4. Possible if I work hard 5. Tough 6. Painfull 7. Hell Akane said "Of course, the band chose Hell"!
Behind this there is an enormous amount of work, pain and sweat. The 3 trained musicians, Akane, Misa and Kanami, progressed by their own will and by stimulating themselves to reach a very high level of competence. Miku, a simple singer at the start, took the courage to take up the rhythm guitar and, pushed by her teacher, Kanami, managed to join the trio in a few years and she is able to play, with her friends, instrumentals with aplomb and confidence. Finally I must add that Saiki can now accompany herself on the piano or play with the band acoustically. That's a quick overview of what Band-Maid is. Thanks guys.
If Band-Maid isn't ripping your face off (Rinne, No God, Black Hole), they're soothing your soul (Bestie, Daydreaming, Manners). Their music does what great music is supposed to do... move you, if only for a moment, into another realm. What more could you ask for from a Band of incredible Maids?! Thank you, Soar? & Mike, for bringing your new viewers into the Band-Maid experience.
I remember the first time I heard Black Hole I was like WTF??? Then after a few listens it all slowed down, not chaotic and just a cool ass groove. Just a fantastic song!! Thanks for sharing your reaction and looking forward to the next Band-Maid song!
Great reaction guys and this song literally sucks you in and won't let go. It was originally a 6 minute song but lead guitarist/composer Kanami decided that it sounded better at double time (and kill the drummer). Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.

Guess I am too old to appreciate the noise.
Do you guys listen to The Pretty Reckless? They're currently one of my favorite American Rock bands.
