Conservation for the Future: Forestry Management in the Bull Mountains, Musselshell County, MT

Toby Dahl is a fifth-generation rancher who continues to run livestock on his family’s land in the Bull Mountains, just 30 miles north of Billings, Montana. Dahl has also been involved in managing the trees that grow over the area’s low, rolling peaks. Overgrown and unhealthy forests nearby were in desperate need of effective forestry management which NRCS was able to assist with.
