Incase this didnt fix your problems, if you happen to to have 8k hz polling rate on your mouse lower it to 4k or 2k. High polling rate uses a lot of cpu power suprisingly and in a game like rust it affects it wildly. Even 4k stutters a bit if you move your mouse fast enough but 2k should rid you off all stutter.
@@blooddemon1702 Polling rate is usually tweaked from your mouse software app. If your mouse doesn't have an app, it most likely doesn't have high enough polling rate for it to be an issue in rust.

I have 16GB of ram, when i check task manager it used like 11GB, toghetter with my other background apps like discord and crosshair X its probably a total of like 12-13GB but somehow it uses already 92-96 percent of my memory… how? Should i just buy a 32GB RAM to fix this?

rust has always ran perfect for me till this last update. now its gc lag every few seconds even with my gc.buffer set to 2048. nothing stops it, any ideas?
I've done all the fixes in the video as well as reinstalling rust but still have a constant stutter issue. My game runs 130-140fps consistently but randomly screen freezes for a moment every 15-20 seconds. I don't believe its a ram issue as I have 32GB of DDR5. Does anyone have any other solutions that may help? Rust is the only game I have this issue on and it occurs regardless of what in game settings I have enabled.
@@videzzz9884 I ended up figuring out the issue but it might not be pertinent. I have an AMD card and had to disable AMD Fluid Motion Frames. I didn't know what it did but it seems extremely unnecessary and more likely to cause issues than help your game.

Never manage to reach a clean 60fps on rust and wondering if it's just my pc specs that's to bad for rust. (have a cpu bottleneck problem) My pc specs: i5 9400f 2.9 Ghz but it runs in 3.9 GHz Rtx 2060 6Gb 16GB 3200Mhz have the game on a SSD as well
i notice you have tree quality/max tree meshes at 0- if you have these high you can more easily see through leaves/bushes potentially allowing you to gain an advantage seeing somoone hiding

@@zacharybayer4406 i still get some lagg but its not as bad when i play on EU server, so if you live in US or EU try playing on them servers and see if you feel any difference.
Not sure if this is for everybody but i notice when my browser or/and discord is closed, it decreases stuttering, prob a RAM issue since firefox eats memory
@@finelay727 changing res doesnt boost your fps (at least for me) But most of the time your fps are determined by things like the amount of players, the size of the map, the amount of builds, monuments, etc... basically inevitable things

Yeah I have i9 RTX4080 64gb ram m.2 drive and I'm getting stutters periodically, some days it's okay others it's not. I'm yet to try these updates, I'm most interested in the startup game settings. I think this started after a recent update to be honest but I do think with new high end computers these CPU intensive games don't work well, they need to use the GPU more.
Cause he is dimwit dog. Lodbias 5 gives -10-20% fps and he didn’t explain how correct set launch options. Try remove all launch options and set lodbias to 0.5 (don’t try lower then 0.5, won’t see people in distance)

Turning the GC dump to the highest setting made mine run wayyyy better. Less shudders
