This was a nice game to watch, Fisher was hoping for the double file rook trap on the uncastled King , however the timely castle, thwarted the master plan. Also textbook Fisher on pawn arrangement.

He should've captured the only black pawn by NXf7! to win the game instantly!
If black captured his knight he could capture black's rook and win. If black captured his rook he could capture White's rook by the knight leaving black woth no alternative but resign!

1. If White plays Nxf7, Black would respond by capturing the White rook on h6 with the rook.
2. Then White's knight recaptures on h6, leading to Black playing Rh7.
3. In this scenario, Black secures the capture of White's two kingside pawns, resulting in an endgame where White has a knight and two pawns against Black's rook.
4. Such an endgame, with a knight and two pawns versus a rook, would likely end in a draw rather than a win for White.
5. Fischer’s move Nb5 avoids this scenario and maintains more winning chances. Therefore, his decision to play Nb5 instead of Nxf7 was indeed correct and shows his deep understanding of the position.
