remembering that carnival ,in this type of cenario is a competition, with normaly 12 groups with different themes, also every person mens the thing in the group, this video is well mixed with diffent groups with completety diffent theams. also Brazil has others types of carnival.

Yes, it's like a parade.. I had the opportunity to went to the Carnaval of São Pau,o in 2020. before covid and it was amazing! It started 22 p.m and ended 07 a.m. It works like a competition because it has many 'samba schools'. All the time they are being rated in everything and days later, the best ones are voted and the best one wins.

The carnival in Rio de Janeiro has several types, the street carnival, with organized blocks, where people walk through the streets, wearing their own t-shirts, and they sing and dance and people follow, drinking and having fun! It is a freer carnival, without competition. Free and cheap fun!
The Samba School parades, on the other hand, are a big competition. Each samba school has more than 3000 members, who prepare all year long for the parade, which takes place in February. There is a lot of money invested, and the state invests money too because the return for tourism is great. The samba schools parade in their own place called the "Sambódromo", which is a large avenue with bleachers on both sides, lighting, box seats, etc. Each school chooses a "storyline" (a theme) and the whole parade follows this storyline, clothes, costumes, floats, front committee, "Mestre sala e porta-bandeira" (Master of ceremonies and flag bearer/ a couple that represents the samba school), the samba, the drums, etc., that are evaluated by a specialized jury and, in the end, the winning samba school is chosen! Ordinary people save money all year long to parade for their favorite school, which is "like their favorite soccer team"! Pedestrianizes parade and represent the school.
The scantily clad girl who parades in front of the drums is called the "madrinha" (godmother) and she has an important role, too, representing the school, and her performance is also evaluated (Usually it is a famous person, an artist, an actress, a famous singer or celebrity ). The themes are usually very varied and many of them are cultural and historical, such as the Amazon forest, the native Indians of Brazil, the folklore of the northeast of the country, the local cuisine from some parts of Brazil, slavery in the country, racism, violence, or something simpler such as a tribute to some important or historical person, the future, technology, a movie, etc. Many people learn about history by watching a Samba School parade.
There is almost always a historian or a specialized person who does a lot of research so that everything is in the theme, in an organized, logical, and beautiful way!
It is a more competitive and expensive carnival, some costumes cost thousands of dollars!
There is much more to talk about, for you to understand. The best thing would be for you to see it for yourselves. I particularly like the samba school rehearsals that take place throughout the year to raise money! They are a lot of fun!

Não é o público alvo deles e eles não falam português para poder traduzir, eles reagem a diversas coisas de diversos países, não só do Brasil. Fora que hoje em dia saber inglês é básico para qualquer coisa, principalmente para usar Internet.

Segundo eu aprendi inglês sozinha aos 13, meu marido aprendeu depois de adulto sozinho também, usando app, cursos gratuitos e vendo vídeos no youtube, estudando no ônibus na volta do serviço, não é questão de quem pode e sim de quem quer, em vez de usar seu tempo vendo review de comida podia estar estudando. Você ficar brava não vai mudar o fato que é sim básico para a nossa vida atualmente e se você não sabe vai ficar para trás mesmo.
