- Magnesium intake is linked to improved cognitive function and has shown potential in managing migraine symptoms, likely due to its role in regulating neurotransmitters and protecting against neuroinflammation. These associations underscore the importance of adequate magnesium levels for brain health and cognitive function.
In this video, expect to learn about:
• The recent research suggesting a potential link between magnesium consumption and larger brain volumes
• How magnesium could reduce your risk of neurodegenerative disease
• Why magnesium may prevent excitotoxicity in the brain
• Magnesium's potential for managing migraines
• The effective magnesium dose for preventing migraine relapses

Is it weird to an internet crush ? I’m a Rhonda Patrick fanboy . God I’m weird. She is tha bomb.
I find her attractive too!
Why do you think shes so popular?
Nothing as fine as a lady with intelligence!
Same.
Not the same.
Rhonda, you're going to outlive us all!
Thank god for Rhonda 🙏🙏
Interesting info on benefits from magnesium. Of course I will do my own research but this helps a lot ☺️
I love how Dr. Ronda Patrick knows how to hammer the magnesium.
This is a great channel. I always learn stuff I can use from Dr. Patrick
Super excellent human -being, and wonderful Woman....i love to combine Magnesium with Beet Juice......! Rhonda a breadth of fresh air....... 🕊️
Thank you for this presentation.
Always there when we need you~ Time to take my supplements including Mag!
Appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
I had a terrible problem with afternoon brain fog. I would need to take a nap. I could not function until I had some sleep. I watched a different doctor on UA-cam touting the benefits of Magnesium, specifically magnesium l-threonate. He claimed magnesium l-threonate has better uptake by the body than other forms. I have been taking it for about 6 months now, and I am a new man. It took about 30 days to start noticing the difference, but I now sleep better at night, generally get up before my opportunity clock sounds off, and seldom nap in the afternoon. I do not get that afternoon brain fog either.
I’m glad for your improvements. What dose did you use and what time of day?
@@CalmVibesVee 144mg, twice a day. One at breakfast, and a second mid afternoon. For the first 60 days or so, I was doing 3 a day.
Vitamin B6 P5P + Magnesium is a game changer for me in relation to stress management. Please create a video on the research around Vitamin B6 specifically P5P the active form. The non active form of B6 has toxicity concerns but the P5P version seems to work very well with Magnesium with no toxicity issues.
Which type of mag are you taking with B6? which brand of B6 P5P?
I have actually been using a secret coffee loophole that has really been helping my migraines.
❤thank you for inflammation, Rhonda 🎉
Dr. Patrick Looks no older than 30. Whatever her routine is, it's brilliant !
Try this if you want more magnesium intake without loose stool. Get powder form and place under your tongue and let it absorb. I use Magnesium Bisglycinate bulk powder. Obviously it has Glycine. And Beet Root and Silica which have benefits too.
Is there a chart I can use to estimate the quantity of magnesium in my diet? Is it reasonable to try to get 600 mg per day through diet, or is supplementation more feasible?
Magnesium and Zone 2 all the way!
Thanks 😊 ❤
What type of magnesium? Did the researchers note the type of magnesium? I believe magnesium theonate for the brain and oritate for the heart?
I can attest to magnesium helping with migraines.
MRNA can improve brain health too
So which type of magnesium do I take for my migraines? Glycinate, oxide, citrate, etc?
I get very bad migraines, I take 350mg of Magnesium Citrate daily. I’ve been taking it for years to help muscle recovery for exercising. Maybe I need a little more?
Ok, you answered that. Thank you
I suffered a bad TBI which ended up in Brain Surgery to drain the blood. Pushed my brain over 7mm and the DR's said they have never had anyone survive that. All I can say now 8 years later I have been taking magnesium and I think it has helped. I am much quicker thinking and better memory. But its that the Magnesium or just normal healing over time I don't know.
What brand and dose do you take? I’m so glad for your recovery!!
@@CalmVibesVee Thank you 🙏. Magnesium L Threonate Capsules (Magtein) - High Absorption Supplement - Bioavailable Form for Sleep and Cognitive Function Support - 2,000 mg - 100 Capsules. I get it from Amazon’s and take four capsules. Two in the morning and two before bedtime.
@@terrywbreedloveok that’s the one I got DoubleWood brand. I will give it a go at that dose. 🙏🏼 Thank you!
Do you take any other supplements that help with cognition/problem solving?
zlatíčko ❤❤❤❤🥰
"[...] however, when they specifically checked the fluid, it wasn't entirely clear."
Uh oh, I prefer when my CSF remains clear 😂

Is Magnesium Citrate a good source for Magnesium?
It can be high in arsenic.
Malate maybe better form..or glycinate
You didn't discuss the forms of magnesium that help with brain health?! There is only one magnesium form "L- Threonate" that crosses the blood brain barrier from what is known. Does magnesium in whole foods do this?
She discusses this in her longer form video/podcast on magnesium.
Having a good and varied diet lasts a long time. You must have a very one-sided diet or an underlying disease to have to take extra magnesium.
Dark chocolate, nuts and almonds are particularly good sources. Potatoes, vegetables, fruit and berries, whole grain products, milk and dairy products, meat and fish also contain some magnesium.
But if nuts contain anti nutrients, phytic acid, , do u still absorbed the minerals from them?
But choc and nuts contain phytic acid..
Dietary magnesium... Seems flawed, magnesium is part of all healthy foods like greens and nuts. So most probably its more related to having healthy foods and not just magnesium
Beef
That depends on the quality of the food for sure. Or rather, accessibility to high-quality food.
@@naeemtull2026It is tasty and great for a lot of things. But for magnesium, I credit spinach, avocado, nuts, and dark chocolate for most of my dietary intake of magnesium. I typically get a lot of other nutrients from eggs, beef liver, and an array of colorful foods (berries, oranges, carrots, etc.).
idk but that's me, I try to stick to the basics of a balanced diet.
Depends on the level of magnesium in the soils your food is grown on. A lot of farmland has been cultivated for a century or more and has gotten depleted of minerals.
Unless the farmers are adding these minerals back into their soil, the levels in food are going to be lower.
seems a lot of oxalates@@GibranCamus-kr2dc
You almost got me.
This isn’t Found My Fitness associated. I’m sure that Rhonda Patrick doesn’t support the theft of her, and her team’s hard work.
How did you figure this out??
Bcuz every podcaster has a channel where they promote via clips..
*Micro*-nutrient?
The usual serving size is 3 or 4 pills.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What happened to her face why is so orange?
Mushrooms. Yummy.
Jesus is the way! Jesus loves you ❤️✝️
That’s why he gave us magnesium
I was hoping it was Diet Coke. Dang.
