Some old neighbors i spoke to told me stories about my house, they remembered hearing screams coming from my house in the dead of night that kept them awake, soldiers coming in and out everyday and a flag with swasticas hanged on a window which no longer exists because construction workers filled it during renovations in the 70s. The "flying girl" one isn't at all creepy to me, it's just a cool implied tale. If anything, it's kind of cute and wholesome. My immediate reading of it is "mother allowing her daughter to explore her unimaginably rare magical powers when she thinks they're totally alone in a world where she's scared to think what would happen if the wider world knew about her daughters abilities". Like the woman (I don't think it's an older girl) is clearly not shocked by the little girl flying. She knows she can do it, and she's letting her. It's pretty cool. Real? Unlikely - but it is fun lol
Kinda looked like an ad for a movie or something to me, like in an X-men movie there’s a scene where at the beginning a the protagonist is showing a class an old russian experiment video from the 60s where scientist are making experiments with a woman with telekinesis, it reminded me of that. Like they did with the Stalker SoC ad about the infrared helicopter camera looking down at a stalker getting killed by monsters, excellent advertising
@@FatherMcKenzie66 To be blunt, with the body of knowledge we have, pretty much anything is more likely than it being a girl that can actually fly lol. Also, I looked up the Stalker SoC ad because I'd never seen it before (even though I'm a lover of Stalker), and yeah, that's some pretty cool advertising there.

God, something about the last one fills me with inexplicable dread. Like the kind of "I don't want to turn the lights out" sort of dread. It's almost as if whatever the girls saw in the next room somehow permeates the screen and invites itself into your psyche. When I was a kid, we lived in a house-turned-apartment in downtown Muncie, Indiana; it was an old house that had been around since the Ball family who held estates on the same west end. Turn of the century sort of housing. There was a hostile presence there that couldn't be denied. Shadows you could only see flit by your peripheral vision. Something that would grab your ankles at night and pull you halfway down the bed. Faucets turning on alone in the apartment. That last video gave me the same dreadful feeling I felt at nights in that apartment.
The first clip, the sewer video, has always stuck with me as a kid. It's definitely my *favorite* video in this genre. If it's real, if it's not, I'll still always hold it dear
I like this style of doing these videos. It makes it a little more unique than just your standard "computer screen and videos" reaction videos. Suggestion: If you end up going with VotV more, you could consider doing one of these in the cabin in the woods. Or in the Arirals' treehouse. Or one of the back-offices in the transformer buildings. It might also be a good thing to make sure you're sat in such a way that zooming in fits the TV screen as much as possible
I believe the video with the 2 girls and the ghost at the end is just a prank by the mother. And I swear there's like a prop skeleton hanging up in that back room peeking around the corner to scare the girls. What really convinces me is that the mother is filming her kids, shes laughing when the girls get scared, and its raining out. It really just seems like a setup by the mom
If you look carefully there is a black spot on the wall behind the girl. It looks like it moves around in the video. I think it's a spider or a bug of some kind that the girls slowly start noticing. It makes sense for the second girl to scream so loudly because it was basically right in front of her when she had her head turned.
That reminds me, one time at my Grandmas house, I saw a hanging skeleton and had the exact same reaction as those girls, I literally stood their and screamed my heart out for like 2 minutes straight, lmao
It never ceases to amaze me how spot on all of the Librarian's commentary is to exactly what I am thinking. These videos are some of the best I have ever seen on creepy videos, if not THE best.

Cool video, loved it and keep it up! Hope one day you retake this format
Something is absolutely moving in the dark in the last one, i edited the brightness and contrast and black of darkness becomes like white/grey when the second girl runs to mom. Absolutely terrifying i still have chills
30:10 Yes!! I was thinking of manatees, I'm very glad you brought it up! I do love when mysteries are kept mysterious, but sometimes it's also really fun to solve them and go "Ooh, so *that's* what it was!".
For the last video, the only possible non-ghost explanation i can think of is that they saw some kind of bug or creature, but i cannot possibly explain why the one who is closer cannot see anything until the end.
The Dawn is Your Enemy bumper thing is always really frustrating to me. I usually chalk it up to mandela effect or some weird mish-mashing of memory and fiction but I absolutely swear to god up and down that I saw that "creepypasta" wink version of it for real. Like I really doubt there's any official recording of it online, and I do think certain aspects of it were probably embellished, but I swear to GOD some actual longer version of it aired with that wink. One of the main reasons this is solidifed in my cranium is that, being relatively young at the time, I always woke up kinda early because I liked catching the very first block of cartoons airing after that last Adult Swim block, usually seeing the last couple minutes of Inuyasha or what have you. Around then my dad worked early hours opening at a local Barnes and Nobles, and was always getting ready in this little laundry room connected right next to the living room. I had already seen the traditional version of the bumper a few times and gotten used to it, even though it absolutely spooked the hell out of young me, but I ABSOLUTELY remember one morning realizing that it was running just a bit longer for some reason, like even if it was just an extra 15 or 20 seconds, and then seeing the sun wink, and it freaked the hell out of me and I actually ran in to my dad to be near him and get away from the TV, even if I was too embarrassed to explain to him why. I also remember searching for that bumper under the pretense of trying to find the wink version before I even knew that people had turned it into some extended creepypasta thing with all sorts of scary noises and whatnot. I feel insane every time I remember this because it's a really vivid memory for me and it's kinda strange to imagine that maybe my brain constructed a near identical fake memory to what people were making creepypastas of, or that it even WAS real but is now buried under that same sea of creepypastas and it'll be impossible to truly know unless someone at AS at the time fessed up to it.
I have similar feelings about one of the advertising bumps of a famous cartoon: So, 2009, I've just got Disney Channel (one of the first in the city, although it has been broadcast for a year, but still few people had it), I enjoy the content, and once in the summer or autumn very strange videos began to appear on DC in the middle of advertising: every time there is a cat who does some kind of alien... stuff, and it's being filmed by a camera. It seems to me that there were several videos, once (it seems) the video was made in the first person. At the end of each video, an announcer with a slightly creepy voice was saying something on a black background. I was very afraid of these videos, but then it turned out that it was a Kid VS Kat ad... About a year ago, I found one of these videos, although it doesn't quite match the description, and I also couldn't find any other videos, but for other reasons...
I honestly really find these videos comforting with you, I actually searched last night for the last one you did to help me fall asleep and lucky me you’re doing it again here :). Thanks for providing that, librarian
Captain Disillusion did an analysis of the flying girl video - both of how the effects were achieved, and of the Soviet-era media featuring flying girls that likely inspired it. Pretty neat not only to see how the trick was done, but why!
For me the last one is really terryfing because the entire video is really realistic something that happens all the time, even I remember being scared of random things and the dark but then the other girls sudden shriek... yea thats when I got scared myself
Well I'm not saying it's true but what I do know about a cult stuff and other cultures and things because children are sensitive to it various ideas why but the idea is that children can see the stuff the adults can't to say in this case if it's true when your child says there's a monster in the closet maybe there's a literal monster who knows I just think it's fun to speculate on this stuff 😂 lol
Same man. Those kids' reactions feel so genuine. That can't be anything other than real crying. Shriek gave me chills. So it really frustrates me just hearing the mother laughing like that when they come to her looking for comfort and protection. Goddamn, woman, just go check the corner or turn the fucking lights on. Maybe kids can really _can_ see things we can't...
@@jonaw.2153 It definitely sounds like a nervous laugh like "wtf?". I taught 4 year olds for a while and stuff they say can be really freaky sometimes, but I would have gone straight into momma-bear mode in that situation...
Sometimes manatees get their tails chopped up by boat propellers. You can see almost the whole tail above water at one point. Looks like they mixed in some unrelated footage too.
43:21 Not sure if the slow droning audio is part of the original video but I feel it really adds to the horror that was described. It feels hypnotizing in a way that makes you forget about what’s going on around you and focus on the video
I took too much Benadryl one night before coming across the Dawn is your Enemy and it was the first time I felt truly paranoid for no real reason. I could hear the awful sounds from the bumper repeating all throughout the night feeling like someone or something was out to get me. I was restless all night and it wasn't until dawn when I could finally get some sleep.
Midnight right now and I was just in the mood for creepy videos. I swear this channel's upload schedule reads my mind sometimes. Now that gives me an idea for a creepy pasta
“The dawn is your enemy” always got me cuz I fought insomnia and pretty bad depression at the time. I knew the daylight meant work and dealing with the horrors of life. I couldn't just hide and watch my animes. I'm better now. Anime can be binged whenever lol.
I know I know this is technically just a react format, but its done right. Seriously reminds me of the good times me and my friends would sift to creepy videos. And we can do that to this video too! Your commentary is always so soothing
39:45 for some reason it reminds me of the edited Red Lobster ad "Great Choice". Especially the part where the woman stops the guy from saying his line and it's like reality itself falls apart. I got that kind of feeling from it, since despite it clearly being horror, it wasn't until that moment that anything truly disturbing happens. Yeah you get the violence and all that, but it still feels relatively grounded in some way.
i'm so glad you called attention to that last video because it's one of the few here that i don't think is a hoax and it doesn't really claim to be much other than "two girls freaking out", so it's a very reliable and distressing video because of that sadly i think the explaination is as simple as children having extremely active imaginations, one proclaims to see something scary in the dark room so the other's pattern-sseking brain goes wild looking for it, and while it might find something just as scary, it may well not be the exact same pattern the first saw. this doesn't serve to discredit the video any bit at all, it is just as unsettling as it is without this explanation, mostly because of that shriek doing all the heavy lifting
I was thinking the same thing. Also, the second girl could be seeing the first girl crying and getting attention from their mom and decided to freak out too to get attention as well. Or maybe it's a bit of both.
I'm a night shift security guard and I work alone. I should not have watched this at work lol. Now I'm super paranoid. I have heard and seen weird things on the job, but it's been a while.
i used to watch videos like these so often a few years back - i would just get a drink and watch this while listening to rain ambience in the background... good times man
From Florida, pretty sure that last shot of the “sea monster” is a turtle. We have some big beautiful shelled boys here. Manatee was my first thought too, and the tail looking bit could be from a gator. My guess is it’s multiple videos of different animals from the same area that were together to give the impression of a singular weird beasty. North Central Florida has some gorgeous parks. Check it out before our government tries paving over it to build pickleball courts again.
The last clip definitely left me with chills even after the video ended, and it was the only one that managed to left some sort of impression. There's something when it comes to children being upset about something that's doesn't seem obvious. You question if they are being silly/trying to get to you, yourself and then you start to worry.
44:38 I dunno- i feel so bad for them. I wanna let Mr Fritz roam around! they're probably uncomfortable being shuffled from prison to prison for collectors' amusement
See I'm used to monster sightings, ghost sightings, alien sightings, cryptid sighting, I am always very skeptical of all of them... but that last one, two girls screaming at something that we can't see. Chills.
That last one, weirdly when the girl screached I started to cry, I have no clue why. I'll just assume that It makes me sad that she had to see whatever she saw that frightened her so.
I love the voices of the void theme. Especially after following all episodes of the latest VOV and seeing how you’ve ordered/make things for your rambunctious VOV family, gradually turning the base into a more fun domesticated comfy-spooky place. Please keep up these vids. It’s the most fun I’ve had watching them especially with your commentary and description of things that only you can do that makes me watch more. You’re awesome, plus your sister is hilarious. You two should do more content together every now and then. Just a suggestion.
49:10 funny you say that, i first watched that video during a sleepover when i was 11 or 12, it was included in a massive compilation of ghost videos. and then this comes up and the picture completely terrified me to the point where i immediately had to shut the video off. it haunted my nightmares for months afterward. i remember my best friend who was at that sleepover giving me so much shit about it the following day haha. good times.
that video about an hour in, featuring the face in the window, it reminds me of a story my father told me a few years ago. he said he'd visited a 'haunted' house in Philadelphia, where his friends and himself wound up being disappointment that nothing happened to them in the building. as they left, as he was talking a photo of the outside of this large, brick building, he heard a piano playing from inside. none of his friends thought anything of it, somehow, but he knew that building was empty. i wish i could ask him for more details but that's not a possibility, anymore.
I've toured the Queen Mary and have seen the prop "exhibit" in-person. It was actually super creepy for me, and I remember experiencing vertigo when looking down into the abyss beneath the surface. Something about the stillness of the water also got to me.
I remember seeing the "The dawn is your enemy" bumper on Adult Swim, and I interpreted it as a sort of joke about how the Adult Swim block ends around that time and it goes back to cartoons for younger audiences. I really felt that message, because I wanted Adult Swim to keep on going, since it was at a time where I had to watch just whatever was on TV and couldn't just go on the internet and binge watch every episode of Cowboy Bebop or Big O or whatever. And I really enjoyed staying up late while everyone is asleep and watching these interesting and funny shows, and I didn't want that to end. It was pretty unnerving while it was playing, but then it's immediately diffused by commercials and cartoons and you get over it. But it sticks with you.
I work in a hospital's medical supply department and spend more than half of my week alone. The number of times I get spooked isn't often. However, it almost always ends up being a fun experience by the end.
The dawn is your enemy video honestly still gives me the creeps! I think it must be the combo of that loud drone and those eyes. The sun’s eyes more relaxed and the man’s more worried or frightened. Both looking directly at you. I just don’t like it at all. Glad I never saw that ad when I watched adult swim as a kid.
Despite being a chronically anxious person, I love videos like this, something about a somewhat controlled fear "with" another person. Having it be watched through votv is just the icing on the cake for me. In the early 2000's I'd stay up late watching creepy videos of monster, alien and ufo encounters. It was exciting, never fully knowing What's Out There and What's Real. Sure a lot of it is hoaxes but who knows! Maybe there's Something Weird and we just don't know.
I know this might not be your type of thing (but I guess you did do Helldivers videos!) Have you ever considered playing SCP Secret Lab? It's pretty chaotic and really dependent on the people you play with to get good clips, but it's a recommendation nonetheless.
Man i love this It reminds me of a time when i was young where me and my cousin would search and look up bunch of creepy videos and theorize if they were real or not lol
i love what little russian i do know, watching the guy turn that corner in the brush and go "что это?" "what's that?" ; the intermittent course of what i've always assumed to be an HVAC system in the observatory adds a lot to the videos, parts that would be utter silence have that uneasy and everpresent droning. i love it.
The video with the two little girls is the one that's probably easiest to explain since when children think that there's a monster there hard enough they start to believe that there actually is a monster, but it's still the creepiest one
I find the first video of the tunnel-thing kind of fun just from the lack of perspective (at least without thinking about it). Guessing from the average heights of bricks, the space from the water level to the ceiling is likely something like 40cm to 50cm (16 to 20 inches). So little fella would rather little indeed. That being said, that movement looks very cgi to me. I guess it could be some frame rate funniness, but it's triggering my cgi sense.
I remember having some nightmare in the house I grew up in. Nothing specific. The oldest part of the house had tp be the stairs, though, wierdly they seemed older that everything else and would be really loud to walk on. Sometimes I would hear them when it wouldn't make sense for anyone to be on them. My patents waited for 18 years, just before we moved out, to tell me that the previous owner hung himself in the gerage.

Something is absolutely moving in the dark in the last one, i edited the brightness and contrast and black of darkness becomes like white/grey when the second girl runs to mom.
Absolutely terrifying i still have chills
Could you upload it please?
30:10
Yes!!
I have similar feelings about one of the advertising bumps of a famous cartoon:
So, 2009, I've just got Disney Channel (one of the first in the city, although it has been broadcast for a year, but still few people had it), I enjoy the content, and once in the summer or autumn very strange videos began to appear on DC in the middle of advertising: every time there is a cat who does some kind of alien... stuff, and it's being filmed by a camera.
Looks like a lot of older series on this channel are being revived, that's actually quite dope
Captain Disillusion did an analysis of the flying girl video - both of how the effects were achieved, and of the Soviet-era media featuring flying girls that likely inspired it. Pretty neat not only to see how the trick was done, but why!
For me the last one is really terryfing because the entire video is really realistic something that happens all the time, even I remember being scared of random things and the dark but then the other girls sudden shriek... yea thats when I got scared myself
i know right? im really curious about the origins of this or where it may have been posted to, like i really want to know what happened after it ends
This is so much extra effort but the ambient space you made in VotV brings some intense "up too late at a sleepover" energy
Happy Friday the 13th librarian
I took too much Benadryl one night before coming across the Dawn is your Enemy and it was the first time I felt truly paranoid for no real reason. I could hear the awful sounds from the bumper repeating all throughout the night feeling like someone or something was out to get me. I was restless all night and it wasn't until dawn when I could finally get some sleep.
This guy could explain paint drying and it would be entertaining
Fr
Man…. Never stop giving quality content. I was jumpscared by your voice in someone Else’s video about the scary Beta Construct map. Made my day
39:45 for some reason it reminds me of the edited Red Lobster ad "Great Choice".
Especially the part where the woman stops the guy from saying his line and it's like reality itself falls apart.
I got that kind of feeling from it, since despite it clearly being horror, it wasn't until that moment that anything truly disturbing happens.
Yeah you get the violence and all that, but it still feels relatively grounded in some way.
i'm so glad you called attention to that last video because it's one of the few here that i don't think is a hoax and it doesn't really claim to be much other than "two girls freaking out", so it's a very reliable and distressing video because of that
sadly i think the explaination is as simple as children having extremely active imaginations, one proclaims to see something scary in the dark room so the other's pattern-sseking brain goes wild looking for it, and while it might find something just as scary, it may well not be the exact same pattern the first saw. this doesn't serve to discredit the video any bit at all, it is just as unsettling as it is without this explanation, mostly because of that shriek doing all the heavy lifting
I was thinking the same thing. Also, the second girl could be seeing the first girl crying and getting attention from their mom and decided to freak out too to get attention as well. Or maybe it's a bit of both.
that last one really disturbed me
The last clip always scared me so bad. that girl's scream was too genuine to be staged IMO.
Chris I’m so happy you’re making more of these.
I find it awesome and somewhat more atmospheric that way with the Votv room and atmosphere. Keep it up man we all love you're content!
I'm a night shift security guard and I work alone. I should not have watched this at work lol. Now I'm super paranoid. I have heard and seen weird things on the job, but it's been a while.
i used to watch videos like these so often a few years back - i would just get a drink and watch this while listening to rain ambience in the background... good times man
33:02 that thing honestly really reminds me of the demons from sons of the forest
That's just Michael Davies from faith

From Florida, pretty sure that last shot of the “sea monster” is a turtle. We have some big beautiful shelled boys here. Manatee was my first thought too, and the tail looking bit could be from a gator. My guess is it’s multiple videos of different animals from the same area that were together to give the impression of a singular weird beasty. North Central Florida has some gorgeous parks. Check it out before our government tries paving over it to build pickleball courts again.
I rememeber you mentioning this in the last episode of VOTV and its cool that you actually did it
The last clip definitely left me with chills even after the video ended, and it was the only one that managed to left some sort of impression. There's something when it comes to children being upset about something that's doesn't seem obvious. You question if they are being silly/trying to get to you, yourself and then you start to worry.
44:38 I dunno- i feel so bad for them. I wanna let Mr Fritz roam around! they're probably uncomfortable being shuffled from prison to prison for collectors' amusement
about that Florida sea monster. A manatee is a very friendly and playful creature. And them and a youngling could be it
See I'm used to monster sightings, ghost sightings, alien sightings, cryptid sighting, I am always very skeptical of all of them... but that last one, two girls screaming at something that we can't see. Chills.
We are ACTUALLY watching scary videos in VOTV!!!
This is one of the coolest thing’s I’ve seen in all my time on UA-cam… 😃
That last one, weirdly when the girl screached I started to cry, I have no clue why. I'll just assume that It makes me sad that she had to see whatever she saw that frightened her so.
This is crazy i was literally digging through your old stuff to find more to this series and you drop an hour long entry.
This in VR would be maybe too perfect. Especially multiplayer.
both of those are mods that are already being worked on for votv. no idea if theyll work at the same time tho
i have quite possibly never hated watching a video more than that one of the closed restaurant
@slime_sam4321 Wdym lol?
Someone has probably already mentioned this, but the sewer one is fake. It was an April Fools video. Still creepy though!
Much love for the channel!
Hi librarian, I ADORE your creepy videos series so i really hope you continue it, i'm so hyped for this video!!
Intro sounds like Dark 5s, and I' all for that Librarian, commentary is top tier! And loved the whole From The Fog series
"Honey, get the popcorn. Chris just dropped another banger!"
SO MANY OF MY CRYPTID PLAYLIST IN HERE AAAA IM SO EXCITED
dude wait i never even thought about doing this iv votv...
thats ACTUALLY GENIUS, bro istg i love you 😭
Despite being a chronically anxious person, I love videos like this, something about a somewhat controlled fear "with" another person.
I know this might not be your type of thing (but I guess you did do Helldivers videos!)
Have you ever considered playing SCP Secret Lab? It's pretty chaotic and really dependent on the people you play with to get good clips, but it's a recommendation nonetheless.
HELL YEAH, VOTV CREEPY VIDEOS! Man I love everything you upload, thank you so much
I started watching this so fast that I didn't even notice how long it is! My God will this be a good night
That video of the kids getting scared has always disturbed me. It's so creepy.
Man i love this
It reminds me of a time when i was young where me and my cousin would search and look up bunch of creepy videos and theorize if they were real or not lol
i love what little russian i do know, watching the guy turn that corner in the brush and go "что это?" "what's that?"
;
the intermittent course of what i've always assumed to be an HVAC system in the observatory adds a lot to the videos, parts that would be utter silence have that uneasy and everpresent droning. i love it.
The dawn is your enemy gave me nightmares the first time I saw it, I love watching these videos 😂
im so happy this series is back i love it so much :)
I'm so excited to see you reacting to creepy videos again! It's been a while.
he seriously took that comment's suggestion with the votv thing and i believe that the commenter absolutely scored with their investment
30:20 i think the thing trailing behind could be an alligator/crocodile following it
Woohoo love your videos man. No matter what you play you always have the perfect atmosphere. You're like a night shift UA-camr.
1:10:00 This scared the crap out of me, there is just something about the way the kids screech that makes me tremble.
Watching those through VotV was honestly such a cool idea~
The video with the two little girls is the one that's probably easiest to explain since when children think that there's a monster there hard enough they start to believe that there actually is a monster, but it's still the creepiest one
you have an in game version of the red creepy story lamp that's adorable
Love the VotV watch room!
*when you wanna sleep to a librarian video but it’s more creepy than it’s comfy*
Considering it's Florida, the sea monster was probably an alligator
Okay, that last one with the laughing girl finally freaking the hell out, got me, holy shit.
YAY!! I LOVE THE LIBRARIANN!! I LOVE WATCHING THESE SO MUCH😅
Going through Voices of the Void is awesome!
Good LORD that last one made me feel chills
I find the first video of the tunnel-thing kind of fun just from the lack of perspective (at least without thinking about it). Guessing from the average heights of bricks, the space from the water level to the ceiling is likely something like 40cm to 50cm (16 to 20 inches). So little fella would rather little indeed. That being said, that movement looks very cgi to me. I guess it could be some frame rate funniness, but it's triggering my cgi sense.
31:35 I remember seeing this one! I had always wanted to see it again. So strange.
That demon in the backyard video is so good and creepy
I remember having some nightmare in the house I grew up in. Nothing specific. The oldest part of the house had tp be the stairs, though, wierdly they seemed older that everything else and would be really loud to walk on. Sometimes I would hear them when it wouldn't make sense for anyone to be on them. My patents waited for 18 years, just before we moved out, to tell me that the previous owner hung himself in the gerage.
