- March came in like a lamb in the Utica NY area on March 1 2024 except on Schuyler Street where a bit of a rumble (roar?) could be heard as New York, Susquehanna & Western No. 3040 led its short train down the road.
Fantastic this video, from the Utica NY area on March 1, 2024. Thanks for sharing
Another enjoyable video from upstate NY, Thank you.
Great video! Love these street running videos! Thanks for taking the time to make it!
What weird weather we have had! Glad you shared the video. Love them! You and Witold stay well.
Hey rail rambler it's fun watching street running trains.
Great video from Okeechobee Florida.
I always look forward to your videos. I really enjoy watching the videos. Keep them coming.
Hello from North Yorkshire, England. No snow here!
Still looks very chilly. Winter isn’t over yet. Have a good week-end. Witold miss seeing you.
Witold sends his regards. I made this video on the spur-of-the-moment, couldn’t have brought Witold along regardless as I was en route to a work commitment.
I like your intros to the videos, and I like the extra info you give us. Great stuff! Nice to see Utica decorated with some snow. If you ever spot any old historical photos of Schuyler Street, I'd love to see them in a video. I bet Schuyler hasn't changed much over a century or so.
Glad you liked the video. I know of one photo from the late 40s showing a steam locomotive on Schuyler St; I’ll try to include it in a video eventually.
im from Syracuse but wish i was from Utica..
Do you want to work on a train as a chef? I noticed the name trainchef?
Nice
Berwick-upon-Tweed, Scottish Borders, UK. Not been much snow at all this winter, but there is still time.
With this Train, I notice there is nearly always Steel Box-section on a Bulkhead F/C, which I presume is going to either a Local Stockholder/supplier or a specific Project?
The steel goes to Di-Highway corporation in nearby New York Mills. I believe it is used to make guardrails and signposts for highways. Thanks for commenting!
Hello from norwich
Norwich, New York ??
@@timothytoolman927 none other
@@garywygant1521 had a girlfriend from there.
Hello from Tonawanda NY! After a few winter days we’re enjoying spring like weather.
Chef yes but unfortunately not on a train.
Nice!! Is this the only 4 axle that NYSW has?? What if it's down, and the brewery needs a switch??
They have at least one other 4 axle I believe. Plus, if needed, they often lease 4 axles from other roads, including, most recently, from neighbor Mohawk, Adirondack & Northern.
Well you have more snow than Milwaukee and in the sunlight looks rather nice. Maybe March started out like a sleeping dog
I'm in California and the local mountains have way more snow than that!
Yes, I hear you guys really got hammered. Our winter has been exceptionally mild, snowfall down significantly.
Interesting notice on the pole on the right there.
Indeed. I think that sign was recently posted. I’ve seen a few others like it hereabouts.
Thanks for pointing that out, would have missed it. Took a bit to be able to read, old eyes and old laptop. Yeah, whackadoodle. So much for being a compassionate......... smh.
*not in this video * But , what are the small blue train cars that have “FIRE PORT” in white lettering that were out earlier? Fairly certain we’ve seen you recording while walking the dog recently.
